Driving up to the venue, it was nice, but it didn't have quite the "wow" factor that the online photos and videos had led us to expect but it was the customer service that was the biggest disappointment of our visit. We had a scheduled appointment to tour the venue with a staff member. Throughout our entire meeting, she remained seated and wore sunglasses the majority of time. She never offered to walk us through the property or show us the different areas of the event space. Although she had printed pricing sheets sitting in front of her, she initially told us that all of the pricing was available online. While that is true, my daughter eventually had to ask for one of the printed sheets that was already on the table. Since we are just beginning the planning process and had not yet selected a wedding date, we understood that an exact quote could not be provided. However, that should not have prevented us from receiving a proper tour of the venue and learning more about what it has to offer. I eventually asked if I could walk to the ceremony area in the back of the property. The GlassHouse Staff Member said I could, but she did not accompany me or provide any information about the space. As I walked through the ceremony area, I realized it simply wasn't the atmosphere or experience we were looking for. We drove a considerable distance specifically to tour this venue, so the lack of engagement and hospitality was disappointing. A venue tour should leave prospective clients excited and inspired. Instead, we left feeling like our appointment was an inconvenience. During our conversation, the staff member also mentioned that the venue is already booking events into 2028. Congratulations on your success--that certainly speaks to the venue's popularity. However, every prospective client deserves the same level of attention and professionalism, regardless of where they are in their planning journey. Based on our experience, this is not the venue we will be choosing for our daughter's wedding/reception.

Magnolia Halle was beautiful inside and out. With in-house catering, setup and linens included in the price, it was perfect for our big day! Also, it is located in an area with lots of hotels nearby, which was extremely helpful for our out of town family and friends. We had about 150 guests at our wedding, and everyone fit comfortably in the Halle. Our guests said that they thoroughly enjoyed the food, especially the short ribs. Additionally, Kryssi, the venue coordinator was PHENOMENAL. We booked Magnolia Halle for our wedding venue over a year in advance, and Kryssi was very responsive to our messages and questions throughout the entirety of that time. We were able to visit multiple times before our wedding to envision how our decor would look, and we really appreciate all of the help and attentiveness that Kryssi provided. She is very kind and wonderful, which made our experience of planning our wedding at Magnolia Halle seamless and fun! About a week before our wedding in March 2025, they installed a new projector and A/V system that we were able to utilize and it was a game changer. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue without the drive out to the hill country, Magnolia Halle is THE place! It was truly the best day of our lives.

Warning to Anyone Considering Grand Monarch, DJ Johnny, or Coordinator Andrea…read more As a professional choreographer with years of experience at weddings, Quinceañeras, Sweet 16s, and large-scale productions, I have never experienced the level of unprofessionalism, aggression, and incompetence I witnessed at Grand Monarch with DJ Johnny and event coordinator Andrea. My role was clear: prepare a court of teens, many who had never danced before, and guide them through months of practice leading up to the event. The family specifically hired me for day-of support, which is standard practice. After the family dances, the teens changed outfits. We then went outside for a quick rehearsal and huddle (5 minutes) absolutely necessary because the ballroom was shockingly small, poorly designed, and blocked by pillars. The kids needed formation adjustments before going in front of hundreds of guests. Instead of letting this essential step happen, Johnny and Andrea stormed over, yelling at me and the teens. Not a polite reminder, full-on aggressive shouting, interrupting instruction, and even trying to silence me in front of the kids. The result? The teens were discouraged, anxious, and rattled. Parents were disgusted, watching their kids be yelled at during what should have been a proud, exciting moment. The energy went from positive to toxic in seconds. To make matters worse: 1. DJ Johnny played the music before the kids were even set up. A rookie mistake he has apparently made at other events too. 2. Andrea never provided a real timeline. She contacted me only the day before and handed me a "timeline" the day of. Zero coordination. 3. No apology was ever given, not to me, not to the teens, not to the parents. Professionals handle pressure differently. Here's a couple tips from a real professional to you both: 1. You address the choreographer directly and privately, not scream in front of kids. 2. You consult the client, the person who paid us both. 3. You give a respectful heads-up. You don't scream at children mid-rehearsal. They can try to say, "We were keeping schedule." False. Dozens of professional ways exist to do that without aggression. "We had no choice." Wrong. They could have waited 60 seconds, gone to the client, or spoken to me calmly. They cause more of a distraction and a more delayed event because this altercation. "The choreographer delayed the event." False. A quick run-through is standard and was required due to the venue's design and Andrea's late timeline. "Communication was clear." False. Nothing was provided until the last second and DJ provided no expectations. Grand Monarch should be ashamed to be represented by such toxic, careless staff. Johnny's Neanderthal behavior was aggressive and reckless, especially from some who fancies himself as a JW. Andrea was complicit. For families spending thousands on milestone events: don't risk your once-in-a-lifetime celebration with vendors who yell at kids, screw up music cues, and create chaos instead of memories. This was not just poor service, this was sabotage of an important family moment. Shout out to the kids who pulled it together at the very ends despite feeling anger and frustration for how they were treated.

The best thing about this space is that it's connected to Summer Moon Coffee, a great place to get a cuppa. They've got the best coffee in town, if you ask me! You can even take your coffee to go to this facility no problem. They offer several meeting rooms, and an area with a few internet-connected computers. I've also seen groups like college study groups, Weight Watchers, and swing dancers meeting here. Be sure to contact the owners of the facility before taking over one of their rooms. They have several options for setups, and it'll ensure that you can be accommodated. This place has always been spotlessly clean every time I have been! There's lots of parking here, with a huge lot- this used to be an Albertson's back in the day. It's easy to get to, since it's right off the freeway. I heard how great the view was but with the type of glass for the large windows you really don't see very much at night which is unfortunate as I am told a great view of the city during the day. Plenty of free parking in a garage attached to the venue. Surprisingly small bathrooms for such a large venue. Not sure if catering was through the sky room itself but the food was very tasty. Desserts were great as well although they ran out very quickly. Overall a nice location for any large gathering. Looks like from pics they do a lot of wedding receptions and it would be really great for that.

The garden and gazebo area outdoors was lush and green and just breathe taking. However, this was an indoor wedding, thank goodness because it was a hot and humid day. The venue was large and spacious. It was divided to have an area for the ceremony (which later became the dance floor) and a huge dining area that easily accommodated at least 100 people that were in attendance, along with the buffet, bar, cake table, snack table, and photo booth and props table. It was elegant and rustic and just beautiful. The food was delicious and the wait staff was friendly and helpful. It was a gorgeous venue for a magical event.
