I recommend making a reservation if you intend on partaking in the Hibachi experience. The chefs are entertaining performing tricks on the grill and interactive activities with the customers! (We chose to tip our chef) The food is definitely fresh, the veggie selection was plentiful and the cuts of meat superb. Each of our Hibachi grill selections were served with miso soup, salad, a few grilled shrimp, and two sauces. The miso soup was a tad muted in flavor and lukewarm but the ginger dressing on the salad was crisp and marvelous! The veggies were cut in the perfect size and cooked to perfection as were the noodles and rice. The meats could have used a bit more seasoning but were grilled to perfection. I look forward to dining again at Ukai and next time will just ask for heavy seasoning on the meat!

My friends got the Hibachi and were underwhelmed; they didn't love the miso soup or salads, either.
