We had such a great time tubing here on New Year's Day! Tickets were just $30, which gave us a two-hour window to enjoy the slopes--such an amazing deal. The staff was super friendly, and the team at the top of the slope helping us were really cool. They made me feel more comfortable and even helped me overcome my fear of tubing. A few tips: Be sure to wear lots of layers and thick socks! I wore all-weather Sperry rain boots since I'm not usually in snow, but my right foot got cold pretty quickly. We ended up warming up with lattes from the ski lodge café, which was a nice break. Also, be prepared for a lot of walking, even just to reach the conveyor belt that takes you up the slope. Overall, it was a fun experience, and I'd definitely recommend it! Just come dressed for the weather and ready for a bit of a workout. read more

A very nice ski hill not far from the Fox River Valley. Large parking lot. Well maintained runs with incredible snowmaking and grooming. Excellent ski and snowboard instruction team offering both group and private lessons. Really well cared for rental equipment. Kind, courteous service with very strong management. Lodge has basic lower level restaurant and upper level bar with additional food choices, beautiful view of ski runs and excellent Bloody Mary. Terrain park with lots of features, as well as tubing hill. The skiing/snowboarding is accessible to all with nice separate learning area with magic carpet, several green runs, several blue runs and three black diamonds. For a local SE Wisconsin hill, this is very nice. read more

We came to check the area out not really planning on doing any winter activities. Enjoyed the bar which was small and not packed. Typical beers and bar food. Service was quick and nice. We will be back next year to try out the slopes. Will be hard to compare to PNW slopes. Happy winter! read more

First time tubing and Nordic Mountain was not a disappointment! Everyone who worked there was super nice and the lines weren't that crazy when we got there (Friday after Christmas, so it might have been slower due to the holidays). Tubing was $18 for 2 hours before 4:30 pm and you had to be above 42 inches for those thinking about bringing their younger kids. I believe the prices are a little bit less after 4:30 pm. If there's no snow due to weather, Nordic mountain makes their own snow. There's a conveyer belt that brings you up to the top for you to slide back down and do it all over again. There's a lodge nearby that has your basic concession stand and hit chocolate for purchase. All In all, it was a wonderful time! read more

My daughter rented a snowboard and after an hour the boots bothered her feet. they would not swap out the board for a set of skis without her paying an additional rental fee. terrible customer service in my opinion. read more

Came here a couple days after Christmas to do some tubing, as we had rented a cabin nearby, and we had a great time!! Everyone was very friendly and the tubing hill was well maintained and fast/steep enough to make you want to go again. The conveyer belt escalated thing is nice, I'm used to walking my tube all the way up the hill at other places. Be careful though and closely watch your tube, it's easy to get stuck on it and then cause a pileup of people falling over each other behind you. For safety, none of the lanes can go until the entire bottom area is clear. On multiple occasions a 4 year old went down alone and struggled to pull his tube out of the way at the bottom, so we had to wait 10 minutes or so before the next people could go down, creating some long lines up top. Would be nice if they had one person working at the bottom to help move people along. I would come back here, 2 hours of tubing was $18 per person, which isn't too bad. read more

This was our 2nd time to Nordic mountain for skiing and tubing and we had a blast as usual. They made it safe by not letting to many people in to check in at one time. They are always helpful with any questions we had. The process of checking in, ski rental, and boot rental was very fast and easy to follow. The food and bar where great the skiing was awesome. Y'all should absolutely go and check this place out if you can you will not regret it it's beautiful. Tubing was a blast easy to checkin and get going so much fun!!! read more

This place is nostalgic for me, as it's the place I started skiing at and keep going back to. It's better laid out than its sister hill, Little Switzerland, because they had the good sense here to set up a tubing/moguls park off to the side of the main ski area (instead of taking all the good runs and adding moguls/tricks to them, like Little Switz did). It's not the easiest to get to, as you have to take some winding back-county roads to get there, but to me it's worth it. The pricing is reasonable, and they have a flex ticket option if you don't want to pay for a full day. Plus, appropriately-priced night skiing options (I used to love coming here after work when I lived here!), and discount nights (ladies night, college night, etc.) The staff have always been friendly, both out on the hill and inside. The lodge, Nordy's has a fireplace to warm up by and plenty of Wisconsin charm. And the best part, hot chocolate with Bailey's-yum! It's not an overly large hill, but if you're looking for some good skiing without going too far or paying too much (ala Granite Peak), this is a good option. read more

Learning hill is decent and has a good grade. The Green hill on the far right is very dangerous as it's so narrow with no where to bail besides the woods on both sides. The rest of the hill is mediocre. I will never return read more

Worst customer service! I am a season pass holder, and on their advertisements they state free tubing on Weekdays for season ticket holders. I never went tubing before, and my son wanted me to take him and his friend! Since this was our first time, I even called ahead, just to make sure it wasn't crazy busy, and further to ensure our season passes permitted us to go tubing! The lady on the phone informed me season pass holders go for free on weekdays. They were so excited (until we got there). Once we get there, I try to get my sons friend a pass, and they proceed to tell me I have to pay because season passes don't work on the holidays! I had to get their manager; where she argued with me about it! If my kids weren't with me, I would 100% left, but didn't want to let them down. My son and his friend didn't even last the hour because they had to walk up half the hill (their website says it's automated), but you need to walk up 50% of the small "hill". I asked my sons friend if he would come back, and he said, "maybe if we didn't have to walk a mile each time". Almost $100 on tubing was spent due to their mistake... Save yourself the headache, go somewhere else. Several other resorts in Wisconsin have more than a 20 second run, don't false advertise, and treat their customers with respect. Never getting a season pass or going back again. read more

Had a great time tubing here with a group of friends. This was my first time going tubing as the thought of flying down a hill in a rubber floaty didn't exactly appeal to me. Definitely glad I went! It wasn't nearly as scary as it sounds and I got mad air! (do people still say that?) Lots of kids as you can imagine but that didn't stop the great time. You pay $14 for two hours and you just try to get in as many runs as you can before your time is up. I suggest linking with your friends for one big group tube chain. fun! and you get the gang back in line quickly for another run. Dress warm (think waterproof) and don't eat too soon before hitting the hill or you might regret it. Check it out! read more

Really nice ski area in mid-central Wisconsin. First came here in the late 1990's with my scout troop on a ski trip (went several years in a row) and I've been hooked on this ski hill ever since. They may not have the most runs or have the longest runs, but they're all fun and unique. My favorite trail is Memory Lane, which is about a mile long. Staff is also very friendly and prices are decent. To this day I still take a long weekend and drive the 5 hours to Nordic once a year. read more

Oh my goodness....I have not laughed that hard in a long time. GO TUBING HERE! We were in the Wautoma area and decided to "hit the slopes"-- just kidding-- I am not a skier but my friend told me that they have tubing. I thought it sounded fun albeit alittle boring. Quite the opposite, my friends. This was 20 times better than my attempt at downhill skiing. The hill is HUGE with several jumps. You can link together with your friends- 3 or 4 max- so you really get going. There is a "lift" that takes you up the hill--- so don't worry you can save your energy for screaming your head off as you roar down the hill at lightening speed! I kept thinking of the scene when Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation flips up his hat and say "Later Dudes" as he flies down the hill on his crisco-smeared saucer. Good times. Oh, they also have a bar here called Nordies which is kind of fun to hang out on the porch and watch the downhill skiers (the tubing is in a different area but the same property). read more

So I had a cancellation due to rain in January this year. Not only did management give me every opportunity to use my funds another day this year, but when the season was cut short and I emailed to ask if the funds could be used for next year, I was greeted with several options. I am aware that when I purchased on line I agreed to no refunds or transfers, so they could have easily said sorry sir. Instead I was able to get a gift card for the FULL amount to used in future years. Now this is customer service! Can't wait to patronize in the 2017-2018 season! read more
