Nordaggios has always been good, but in recent years its game has stepped up significantly with their focus on specialty roasts and alternating their beans to give the freshest each week to their customers. I travel all over the country, and more often than not, even in cities that are well known for great coffee, I'm wishing I had Nord's. The staff are some of the most knowledgeable and genuine people in the coffee world you'll meet. David & Matt on the bar pulling shots, and Bobby and the rest of the roasting team are incredible. As much as I and everyone that is a regular would wish for a bigger space, there's a nostalgic feeling when you sit down at one of the crowded tables and taste the coffee and enjoy visiting with friends. read more

There is no reason to go to the ghost town of The Plaza anymore EXCEPT for this coffee shop. It's a working roastery and the inside is totally stripped down minimalist but that adds to the vibe here. I was surprised how busy the place was at 3 in the afternoon (but it was a holiday). There were lots of people with their laptops open and a few more just having good conversations. The wait was a bit longer than normal---only one barista who was also the cashier. It was worth the wait! Don't forget about Nordaggio's! Love Nordaggio's coffee! Their coffee is so good and they sell baked goods from the delicious French Bakery next door (Saint Amon Baking). You can buy some baked goods at Nordaggio's or they are totally ok if you buy from Saint Amon and bring it in to Nordaggio's. I love the coffee here-it is made with care and has a great flavor. The people that work here are very friendly. I love supporting local businesses. Nordaggio's is a great place to meet up with friends; they have quite a few tables and comfy seating. This little hidden gem in the strip center on the south west corner of 81st and Lewis is the best coffee spot in town! On the latest visit i trued the hive mind off the summer menu. The lil runt and the house blend drip coffee are also great as i have had those in the past. The atmosphere inside is calm and easy going and lends for a great spot to chill out and relax with your coffee. The staff are always friendly and ready to help also very knowledgeable. They have a limited selection of pastries and sandwiches for eating as well. Give this place s try and you wont regret it. read more

This is a true coffee drinker's coffee shop. The coffee served is strong, bold, with prominent bitter and burnt flavors. Tamed with steamed milk in a latte, it is an appealing cup of coffee. I believe Nordaggio's Coffee roaster provides coffee to several other coffee shops in the Tulsa area. Most likely their main business focus. Running an espresso machine and serving coffee their secondary priority. The service is exceptionally slow. The guy running the espresso machine (the only person making coffee) spent 15 minutes dinking around, making and tasting coffee, but never produced a cup for the customers. There were two other cups of coffee in front of us. It was 20 minutes before those were set on the counter. The young lady taking orders at the register had disappeared. She returned; I got in line to ask about our to go order. She got cups out and finally we got coffee. The employees radiate indifference. The owners are obviously unconcerned about customer service. The three stars are for the coffee only. We enjoyed our drinks, however a return visit is unlikely. read more

I love stopping by my old stomping grounds in Tulsa and I always make sure to hit Nordaggio's. This is a great little coffee shop to study at and is near Oral Roberts Univeristy, so a lot of students usually study here. The inside is cozy with a beautiful fireplace in the winter and classic thick wood tables, high tops, and leather chairs. The seating has changed a little since I studies here as a student back in 2012, but it is still a great place to get some work done. The coffee is outstanding and has a beautiful texture and creamy roast taste. I usually go for the iced or hot mocha but sometime enjoy a nice cortado to just enjoy the roast with a little milk. The service was good, not amazing, but efficient. I may be old fashion but I still enjoy a nice smile and a little chit chat with the baristas but some places are all business. No one was ride, I just like the extra personal touch of genuine conversation and didn't really catch that was their thing. Overall, fantastic coffee and highly recommended. read more

OMGG yall- story time- Wildest interaction I have had all week. I called ahead to make sure there was wifi (Im a medical student and need it to study and the last coffee shop I went to didn't have public wifi). I didn't know it was the owner's personal cell listed online when I called the number, but I asked nicely (Im gen Z and know how service jobs are, I'm not a Karen). He said, and I quote, "Of course there's wifi! How else would we take credit cards?" and he hung up. When I arrived to try the coffee, I asked what the wifi password was, and the bar staff didn't know, so I thought I'd call the number back to ask since whoever answered seemed to know. He was even more abrupt and rude and told me to go ask the bar staff and I said they didn't know, so he said to put them on speaker, and I said they were already with another customer, so he said he would wait. (Yall I'm just trying to get a coffee and study my flash cards. Instead I'm getting a coffee shop anxiety hellscape AU). I asked if he was having a bad day to give him the benefit of the doubt, and he said "Yep. Wonderful." So I'm not sure what to say. Obviously enough for me to procrastinate studying by writing this review because my adrenergic receptors are predominating over my muscarinic at the moment (bio reference to say I'm stressed about it lol). Delicious coffee spot. They roast their own coffee. That's what I look for in a coffee shop. The coffee isn't too sweet and I love the unique seasonal flavors. I've only been here twice because I don't live in the Tulsa area. But it's a nice unique coffee spot. I haven't tried the baked goods so I can't speak on that behalf. The town center this building in is mostly vacant, it doesn't look fancy from the outside, but once inside it looks hipster and homey. The staff was accommodating to my complex order. The seating will likely be overtaken by ORU students if it's the school year and they are not on break. It gives me very strong memories of the local shop I frequented with friends in college back in Utah. I'm glad that they have a pretty straightforward menu with solid flavor and upgrade options (whipped cream, etc.) but no almond milk! Nordaggio's was my all time favorite coffee shop in high school and when we would come home from college. Boy, has it changed. Looks like the other half of the coffee shop where they played live music has been sealed off- sad day, we had some good memories here. We approached the counter and there wasn't a large scale menu on the wall- that was a little off putting. There was a side menu but it was tiny. I felt awkward and uncomfortable asking a bunch of questions about what they had or didn't have. I asked about the big trains- she mentioned they had them but they weren't called that anymore. I asked for a Heath big train, then I quickly asked which flavors they had- she mentioned the typical syrups- nothing like the good ole days where they had all kinds of signature big trains. Wahhh. I ordered two iced hot chocolates, an americano and a iced blended coffee with pistachio and mocha syrup add ins. We also ordered a maple mocha muffin as well. Order came out- the hot chocolate was not iced and we were missing one, the muffin was heated (as requested) but placed in a bag when're the icing melted all over (?what?) They we're super nice to kindly make another hot chocolate Free of charge and they said "it was our mistake" that was so thoughtful and kind We planned on eating and drinking outside so I asked for a plate and fork. No napkins we're easily accessible. There wasn't any sugar,cream, Or a a station for adding jazz to your coffee. Mom was not very happy with her coffee-but she didn't feel comfortable asking for some because it seemed like the ladies were in their own zone. I understand covid is a real thing but if masks aren't required for all that enter and masks are not used by the employee while making our drinks and food then a station for us to costuming our own coffee could be very useful. I think the whole vibe was disappointing- the ladies behind the counter were super sweet but a little unfocused and they had the photographer taking pics, lots of conversation and laughs, which is fine and I love that-but not when mistakes are being made and orders are not being made in the correct fashion. Also, things weren't being done in an efficient manner- I had two young ones with me and they were pretty patient but we did wait a bit and it wasn't very busy. This is an AMAZING, AWESOME, WONDERFUL LITTLE coffee shop. We had a large order and one of our young ladies forgot to order hers without milk and even though they'd already made it they sweetly remade it with the oat milk so she wouldn't get sick. I've never had a barista not huff at a remake. They're attitude and spirits were beautiful. Their service is top notch. Their coffee is roasted in house and delicious seems to not be a good enough word to describe how good it was..my Earl Grey was the best I've ever had...if I lived here I'd be here everyday...oh and their blueberry scone was so light and fluffy I'd gain just as much weight as the money I'd spend. Nordaggio is probably the most legit coffee shop in the south Tulsa area. It's located very close to ORU campus so a lot of their customers are college students. The storefront isn't particularly attractive and is almost invisible from the street view. They have one picnic style wooden table set outside for outdoor seating but there is no shade and facing the afternoon sun. They have some comfortable seatings inside the cafe but are always occupied by students studying. Discerned patrons like me would focus on the quality of the coffee itself. I was unfortunate enough to chat with the roast master and learned how serious and knowledgeable about the beans that they acquired and their roasting process. And I am happy to confirm that they are legit and the coffee are tended with good care. I tasted their chemex pour over and latte. Both were pretty good. Well-balanced on aroma and acidity. I particularly enjoyed their Ethiopian beans. They have both Guji and Yirgacheffe regions. I also brought some beans for my home brew sessions as well. I highly recommended you to give them a try. Based on my conversation with the staff, they weren't out of them, they didn't carry them. Inadequate number and placement of power outlets. Excellent coffee with a cool coffee house bistro vibe. This is my go to place when I am in town. Now they have a pastry chop next door that also has wonderful breakfast foods and snacks. My double shot Latte w oat milk had the perfect coffee flavor with daily fresh ground imported beans. The only thing that kept this from 5 stars is they do not carry Almond Milk. Service was awful!!! I came in and was not acknowledged at all. I asked for a coffee with heavy cream. The cashier said, "I don't know if we have that." She got my coffee & proceeded to put a carton on the counter when I was adding my sugar, instead of checking before she went on to the next customer or adding the cream. No apology. Not my absolute favorite, but really flavorful with a strong initial flavor and smooth finish My complaint is that it was nearly impossible to figure out which drink was ours, and took a LONG time to come. My cold brew was obviously quick, but with only 1 barista working on a Sat morning, and not asking names on the coffee I had to get up 3 times before I actually got my order. No way of knowing except for the person who took our order's memory. You need more hands working at once on a busy Sat, and if you simply ask names, it's not as confusing. I know people will be mad at me for docking them, but 5 stars means perfect, and with a complaint you can't get a perfect rating. I really dug this little coffee spot. This is day one post lifting of the mask mandate. Everybody in the store is still wearing a mask minus the customers drinking coffee of course. There is plenty of room to spread out, and hand sanitizer and appropriate business practices in place to make me feel very safe there in a post Covid world. I ordered a coffee and a chocolate muffin which they heated for me. The girls at the counter Were so friendly! My only one star issue was that my chocolate muffin was very very dry/stale. I ate it anyway because it was a chocolate muffin. That was the only thing that could've improved. I sat and was able to do some work on my phone in a really great atmosphere for about 45 minutes. I was happy to come across this place. People behind the counter are making real espresso drinks! I had a cortado and it was very satisfying. I also had an almond croissant /danish which was lovely and flaky. It was a bit busy when I got there and managed to find a seat so I could sit and knit for a little while. All in all it reminded me of the coffee houses that were popular in the 90s. No rowdy children running aound and screaming which was a pleasant change. tulsa's coffee scene never ceases to amaze me. with some i feel like i'm late to the party on, like nordaggio's for instance. i'm going through a cold brew phase & they didn't let me down. the cold brew with a shot of espresso & caramel, super strong. the espresso & caramel have a bitter sweet combination. i didn't pay attention to that sizes they came in, mine looked like a 12 oz, more than enough. gave me the boost i needed. i had a apple bran muffin to go with my coffee. there was a good selection across the board, about 2-3 muffin selections alone. the apple bran had a drizzle on top that was SUPER good. good experience overall. read more

Wow, I feel sad leaving this review. I knew Nordaggios during their heyday and really enjoyed their coffee but today was a whole different experience. Let me back up. This college coffeeshop was a busy hang out just a few years ago with comfy couches, fireplace seating, a classic espresso bar and the smell of coffee. With it being so busy they needed repaint and update some of the furniture. The place was starting to look worse for the wear so when I saw them clearing the place out to remodel I was glad. Months and months later they reopened. This remodel is so disappointing. They exchanged the furniture to very worn vinyl furniture and 70's style tables. Sometimes that look works but it didn't here. There's absolutely nothing on the walls, not even a coffee menu! It's not cohesive it all. I asked the Barista how long they had been in their new location and he said, "three months". What?! The coffee wasn't as delicious as it used to be either. No "Zing". I won't be back in that makes me sad. read more

Coffee was delicious. They brew it there. I usually get decaf but they don't sell itI got the ice horchata cold brew. It did have too much cinnamon on top even after I stirred it though which isn't as pleasant to drink. The service was slow. The owner came out to talk to the 2 staffers and everything stopped. I got my first drink and waited several minutes for rest of my order. My main criticism would be that they had someone sweeping and the mopping the floors during open hours. The poor person had to use the old fashioned mop and bucket with dirty water. They even hit people's feet sometimes! Come on! Do this before you open or after you close! And get your staff an industrial swifter like they use in the hospital!! read more

This is a very nice and reliable coffee shop. The people who work here haven't failed once within my two years of coming here. It's very clean, and there are outlets that are easy to access for homework. I'd say one of my favorite things is the fact that they have good pasties, some of which are from the French pastry shop across from them. Saturdays are always nice cause they have a nice spread out for the mornings. Typically don't write reviews, but I didn't think the one star reviews on this place did it any justice.
