Apparently, accuracy has become optional, even when customers are paying extra for specific items. Unfortunately, this is far from my first disappointing experience with CAVA. I've had numerous orders prepared incorrectly, and today was the final straw. Sometimes life gets overwhelming, and you just want the convenience of ordering a meal without having to worry about preparing it yourself. I've been caring for my elderly mother, who has dementia, and I'm physically and emotionally exhausted. Today, I simply wanted a decent meal without any additional hassle. So, I ordered a grilled chicken rice bowl from CAVA. And, once again, they managed to get it wrong. Here's what I received: No dressing whatsoever. My grilled chicken rice bowl was completely DRY. Stale basmati rice. The rice tasted old and was far from fresh. Almost no cucumbers. I specifically ordered and PAID EXTRA for additional cucumbers. There were approximately THREE pieces in the entire bowl! I didn't just pay for extra cucumbers. I paid for a meal that was supposed to include the ingredients I selected, and CAVA failed to deliver even the basics. What frustrates me most is the apparent lack of attention to detail and quality control. Employees seem so focused on pushing orders out the door that nobody bothers to check whether customers are actually receiving what they ordered and paid for. This isn't about being picky. It's about getting what you paid for. When customers are charged for additional ingredients that aren't provided, they're losing money. When food is served stale or missing essential components, that's unacceptable. And before anyone suggests I should have checked my order, why should the responsibility fall on the paying customer to make sure a restaurant fulfills its most basic obligation? I shouldn't have to open every container, count ingredients, or inspect my meal before leaving or accepting delivery. I've given CAVA more chances than it deserves. This wasn't one isolated mistake. It's been a recurring problem. Shame on me for continuing to give CAVA another chance? No. Shame on CAVA for repeatedly failing to provide customers with the food they've ordered and paid for. I'm done. You've lost a customer.
