PRO TIP: whichever you choose, buy the larger to-go container. It's got more oil at the top, while the small side cups a have less oil and thus are tangier and more vinegary. My family is split on which they prefer, so we always get both. Save room for dessert. The flan and tiramisu are both excellent and the perfect way to finish. The service made the night even better. We came in right before closing, and the staff took our order without hesitation and made us feel completely welcome. The owner even came out to chat with us. I got to know Nora's Empanadas during the pandemic. Aa a wine club member at Akash, they would offer empanada pickup with their bottle club pickup at the vineyard. The winery had tables set up at their circular drive that one could drive thru to get their to go orders. I have been a supporter ever since and have visited them at the Farmer's Market in Old Town. They finally got a solid storefront set uo at Vail Ranch Headquarters. I stop here post every vet visit I have with my pup. I decided on Nora's Empanadas Factory on this trio. I selected two chicken empanadas, one plain and one buffalo and they were both delicious. This place is so cute inside! But the empanadas missed for me. The empanadas was not very good. The filling wasnt my flavor profile and the texture of the empanadas tasting like they were undercooked didn't sit well with me. I got the beef filling and cheese filling. The cheese filling was 100% better than the beef. I hated the chimichurri sauce they had. That tasted so funky to me. The service was OK. They have a branch out in Murrieta so I was glad to see a location open up much closer. They have a kiosk to order from. I got their beef and chicken empanadas ($4.99 each) to try along with their chipa (Argentinean cheese balls- $1.75), plus a sparkling blackberry lemonade ($6.99). They have a variety of flavors of empanada, both sweet and savory. The beef was filled with seasoned ground beef, green olives, sauteed onions, and spices. I liked it better than the chicken which was dry to me. Their chimichurri was good, a bit more vinegary than other Argentinean restaurants. The photos really don't do this place justice. I tried a variety of their empanadas, and everything was so flavorful -- truly an explosion of flavor with every bite. The chimichurri sauce paired perfectly with them and really brought everything together. I believe these are Argentinian-style empanadas, and they were so good. We were definitely excited to have a shiny new restaurant here at the Vail! We came a little later tonight so we were thankful they could make some fresh ones for us and they seemed to be sold out upon arrival. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we appreciated their transparency that it was going to take a while so we were able to walk around. The store itself is cute, new, clean and refreshed which is definitely a nice change of pace. Our winner was definitely the spicy cheese and mushroom and cheese. The beef and chicken were good and then the ham & cheese last. I think if it were the morning the ham and cheese would go hard. I'm quite surprised about how well this spot is reviewed, truly. Comparing it to other empanadas I've had, this one is unfortunately the worst. The beef is greasy and has a low quality texture, the spinach is excessively fibrous, and the ham and cheese is just lacking in flavor. The outer pastry is decent but nothing special, certainly not good enough to justify the poor quality of the filling. The chimichuri was also lacking that freshness good chimichuri has. The prices are high, as well. On top of all that, the ai poster outside really set the tone. Clearly, if they have to use ai to advertise fake food, there's a lack of confidence in the actual quality of the product. After trying it, I see why. read more

Was walking by Temecula Clay in Vail Ranch and the empty store next door now has Nora's Empanada factory so I had to stop in and give it a try. It is classy chill inside with small but comfy and nice seating inside and plenty of seating all over Vail Ranch. We purchased cheese balls (yum) and the spicy cheese empanada and the chicken empanada. These Empanadas were great. Not dry at all like many I have had. The chicken was super moist and flavorful.
