I have previously seen Kaitlyn, who always has been absolutely spectacular. Perhaps it was my own fault for assuming that everyone would be able to replicate Kaitlyn's work but after I got home and tried to settle it myself I realized it was not at all what I had asked for. I wouldn't even say it was necessarily a bad cut, but very different than I was looking for. I don't want to name the stylist as I think she did try her best, it just wasn't a good fit for me. She was kind and friendly and I think for other people she would probably do some great cuts, it just wasn't good on my hair or what I had hoped for. The most frustrating part was that I did call to try and see if I could get in to have somebody fix my hair, because it was not what I asked for. I called twice. The first time the phone disconnected, which was probably nothing to do with them. I was calling from Ukiah and service there is patchy sometimes. However, I did call again the next day and left a message asking for someone to return my call and never received one. I didn't leave a whole lot of detail in the message, but I did leave my name and phone number and let them know that I just gotten my haircut and I would like to have some thing redone. I would've happily paid to have Kaitlyn fix my hair, but I never got a call back. I will say that the person I went to at another salon confirmed that there were no layers as I had requested, and that my bangs were not even as the stylist had barely brushed them out. Sassy's Salon was able to get me in fairly quickly and did fix my hair in under a half an hour which I was incredibly grateful for.

So we walked in anyways and there was one person who was fully booked and the person I was originally booked with wasn't even there. If you want people to solely book online you may want to update your schedule. Because there were openings from 1:30pm-5:15pm available online. I was incredibly disappointed at the communication. I found Sugar Spice as a recommendation on the Knott (even though I actually did my wedding planning on Wedding Wire). I reached out to her, filled out her questionnaire, and she got in touch with me quickly! I got a call on my phone and only a few minutes in, I was sold that she was the one that had to do my makeup. By this time I had a couple backup options but I selected Anita out of the few. She paid attention to what I wanted, she's easy to talk to, and she made me feel comfortable. My one constructive criticism is that I wish there was better time management. My hair gal took a little longer than expected (not Anita's fault) but later on, I realized that maybe during this time Anita could have done my tattoo coverage or the groom hair styling while I was getting my hair done (this was going to be a bonus anyway and he didn't even need any hair styling he's just so handsome). It was nice that when I was done with hair, she had a cute set up for me in the corner and brought her dad to photograph the process too! I ended up running late for my own ceremony but despite my nerves acting up, Anita made sure not to rush her final touches. Also bonus was that because of my tardiness, a close friend who was coming to the venue as a guest, was running super late and had I not been late, she would have missed the whole ceremony anyway so it worked out!
