I order this on DoorDash and it's been really good every time. I like the chicken burritos and strawberry soda.

Long overdue since I frequent the place:…read more If you are craving a reliable, no-frills Mexican spot in Cupertino, this place delivers exactly what you hope for and then some. We grabbed three burritos to go, two with adobo chicken and one with the Del Mar fish. Each one was packed generously and full of flavor. The chicken had a nice depth of seasoning, and the fish option felt fresh and well balanced. Portions were more than satisfying. I made a small customization request to shift the cheese from one burrito into mine, and they handled it without hesitation. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. For the quality and size, the pricing felt reasonable. The setting lands comfortably between casual and slightly elevated. It is a step up from a typical taco shop, but still laid back and easygoing. There is seating both inside and outside, which is a nice option, though the patio sits near a somewhat busy street. Parking can require a bit of patience since it shares a strip mall lot with other businesses. Aside from that minor inconvenience, it is a dependable choice for a satisfying burrito, and I would happily come back again. Did I mention the staff have great stories?

Uniquely among the few places in this area I've tried that do have sopapillas, theirs are sometimes hollow so you can put the necessary honey (which comes with) inside. Sometimes. Some are hollow and some aren't. They come 8 to a plate, in the shape of pie slices, and they're quite crisp on the outside. It's pretty good, best of the breed locally, but I still miss the big pillowy ones from New Mexico. For the meal beforehand, I tried the special of corn chowder. This was very plain-tasting but reasonably hearty. Strange salsa bar. The salsas come with shallow wooden spoons with which it's impossible to get a decent quantity of any of the liquid salsas into the little paper cup.

I eat here about 3 times a week and I'm slowly trying all the different types of meat. I love the tender shredded chicken and the Asada is OMG juicy chunks of flavorful steak! Not at all like the tough overcooked and thin meat scraps you get at other taquerias. The pork Pibil is similar to the shredded chicken in texture and wonderfully flavored as well. I got the Tortilla soup on a rainy day and it hit the spot. Making me look forward to more rainy days! The inside is decorated so cheerfully and my favorite is the little piñata planters on each table! So adorable! I ordered some delivery for my parents tonight and they were blown away by their chile Rellano and enchiladas Suizas. They absolutely loved the chips and freshly made guac too! Two more satisfied long term customers! I love that they always start my Horchata the second I walk in. It's creamy and delicious a never has that gritty texture at the bottom. Yum! So glad I was introduced to this place. It's definitely on the top of my list when I'm in the mood for Mexican food. Oh and if you like spicy ask for the orange sauce! The nice man warned me and it definitely has a kick, but if you can hang with the heat the flavor is superb!!!

We ordered chips and salsa, but when we got home it wasn't in the bag. The tacos were just okay, the grilled chicken were decent but the carne asada weren't worth it. The carne asada meat was too big and full of fat and tendon. The diablo shrimp were so hot my husband had to rinse off the sauce to continue eating them. Their rice and beans were decent, but nothing special to report. I wouldn't return. There are far too many locations in the greater San Jose area that have much better food for less.

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

The shrimp burrito was stuffed with succulent shrimp and overflowing with rice, with thick globs of sour cream (not evenly spread inside), and the cheese hardly noticeable. The sausage burrito was fat and filling as well, with lots of scrambled eggs, tasty chunks of sausage, and yummy melted cheese. Ordering online for pick-up was easy with clear options to customize my food items (remove ingredients, or add extras for a fee). My order was packed and ready when I arrived 15 minutes later. Not many words were spoken by the staff member who handed me my takeout bag. The place was clean and had a good amount of indoor seating, as well as a couple of tables outside. The sauce station wasn't labeled, but I appreciated the self-serve options for jalapenos, salsas, and more. This eatery serves an awesome variety of mexican dishes, plus I love spots that offer breakfast all day. And even though they're not perfect, I'm a fan of their burritos based on my recent visit.

(it doesn't even come with rice.) It's clear the proper ingredients weren't available, but instead of informing me, someone decided to serve a completely different and frankly unacceptable substitute. That kind of decision shows a lack of respect for your customers. This was genuinely shameful service, especially considering I tipped well on the order. I expect far better from a place I've supported repeatedly.
