Pork mushroom cold noodles was great
Justin M.

Disappointed in service both times. First time forgot to even put our order in and the dumplings came after meal. The second time they messed up the order and remade it which kudos to them but again brought soup dumplings after entree with no offering of an apology or discount. Food was excellent both times though. All the soup bao are excellent but stick with chicken or pork. The crab is off tasting and not enough crab. The pork mushroom cold noodle was delicious and not cold so very misleading. The tonkatsu is flavored well just needs some heat but they definitely are generous with meat which was nice. Skip the chicken as it's just boiled chicken and not that flavorful. The beef is great and the pork is too fatty but still good. The fresh noodles are always a plus. The bad dish was fried noodles tastes like peanut sauce and just was not good. The mango tea is sweet but nice. All in all great stock flavors which is light years ahead of the other dumpling place in town. Not even close in comparison.

Absolutely the best ramen we've had anywhere in Louisiana. My wife had the colorful dumplings combo and they were all delicious. Everything is made in house and you can taste the difference. Go check them out, and you won't be disappointed. Great service and way more good than we could eat for a fair price.

The place is super clean which was a very nice surprise after seeing how messy the outside was and the grass needed cutting! The food was good but needed more seasoning. The portions are HUGE so 1 dish can feed a couple! The plates are very flat so messy for children. The coolest is the robot waitress! She needs a cool name! That was the highlight of the dinner! The sweet & sour chicken had barely any flavor at all and I personally didn't care for the dumplings texture but that's just me! The eggrolls are good. The general tso was tasty. I didn't care for the flavor of the fried noodles & the fried rice looked and tasted just like plain white rice! Dumplings come in a variety of colors and are pretty on the plate! I might would go back if my kids wanted to go see the robot but not my first choice.

I love Asian cuisine, so I really don't know how it took me so long to try this place. I regret the lost time because everything we tried was amazing. Super high quality, very fresh, and reasonably priced. Hands down, these are the best soup dumplings in Lafayette, and they might even top my former favorite from Las Vegas. I failed to take pictures because we were starving, but we tried the pork and chicken soup dumplings, wonton soup, eggrolls, chicken fried rice, chicken fried noodles, pork buns, and general tso chicken. Even the items ordered for the kids were exceptionally well executed and flavorful. The pickiest eaters agreed it was excellent. Our only complaints were about the table size and service. Our family of five was seated at a four-top with a chair at the end, so there wasn't enough room for the food ordered and the server didn't offer much in the way of help. They don't seem to have six-tops, which is odd. Secondly, the server took forever to take our drink order and while he was nice, he wasn't very attentive or engaged. Regardless, the food was outstanding and will Noodles & Dumplings is sure to become a new favorite. Let's hope they can break the curse of their location.

This is our third visit to Noodle and Dumpling. This is the go to place in Lafayette for authentic Chinese food in my opinion. Everything we have eaten has been delicious and made fresh. A bonus is watching all the chefs hand pulled noodles and make the dumpling's. There is a tip jar out give those hardworking chefs a tip. The little robot can bring your food to the table to show the kiddos if you ask.

Another example of a combined great food and drink, along with outstanding service. The fresh mango boba is one of the best with the pure mango flavor. The black garlic oil Ramen was yummy huge portions with plenty of the pork belly, however the Mapo Tofu was definitely the star of the meal, with well developed flavors. We love the family atmosphere and everyone enjoying an outing with great meals.

Pan fried pork dumplings

The parking lot is tight, so go slowly through. It was a crowded night, but the front staff was nice and gave accurate wait times. I will say, they were better than the wait staff. Luckily we'd never been and were studying the menu, but even with that consideration, the person who was ultimately our waitress walked past three times before saying she'd be right with us. She only came back twice more unless called. Despite all that, the food was quite good! The pork and scallion bao was exceptional. I can't wait to go back and try other varieties. Idk what sauce was on the shrimp tempura, but I wanted to lick that plate clean. I will say, I wouldn't get the pan fried dumplings again, just basic. For main dishes, we had Mongolian chicken and beef and broccoli. Both were VERY meaty and had a good sauce, both were with noodles. I had a fried noodle dish with fried noodles. They were clearly handmade and had a good sauce, but it wasn't as meaty as the other dishes. We did try the custard bao for dessert. It's not like a custard donut, since it's deep fried with the custard in. Watch out, it's HOT. It wasn't bad, just not my taste. Overall, I will definitely be back to try other things, and I'm hoping the server issue will be solved.

The atmosphere was awesome! I really enjoyed the service--especially the waiter/waitress on wheels, such a cool touch. I wasn't crazy about the dumplings this time, but that's just personal taste--I'll definitely try something different next time. I had the cream cheese and crab wontons along with the colorful dumplings, and with a sweet tea on the side, I was completely full. Overall, a great experience!

Noodles & dumpling was so good. It is one of those restaurant where the leftovers are good the next day. The servers were awesome including the robot server. Definitely worth checking out.

Amazing food and great service. We came all the way from Baton Rouge and will definitely be coming back. You can taste the difference the hand pulled dough makes in the food, love this place !!!

Pork belly ramen
Halezyeah ..

First off this is not my typical food taste pallet, if that makes sense... so this review is not for everyone. I LOVE japanese ramen so I got the Tonkotsu pork belly ramen from here to try and sadly this tastes nothing like japanese ramen. This tasted more like pho to me. It had a very mild herbal unseasoned beef broth flavor. Very earthy in taste not umami. The beef and scallion baos were ok but also lacking flavor. My husband got the fried noodles with sesame chicken. The noodles were ok and the chicken was ok. The kids chicken was very very dry and lacking flavor. Over all I feel like everything lacked flavor??? Disappointed. The pro is the food portions are HUGE so if you love this type of food, then you will be in heaven with the amount they give! Service was fast though! Place looks clean.

Black Garlic Oil Ramen with Chicken

We've officially found the best spot for all things authentic Chinese in Lafayette! Everything we ordered was absolutely phenomenal and hands down the best Chinese food we've had in the area. What we ordered: * Shrimp tempura (appetizer) - crispy perfection * Black garlic oil chicken ramen - incredible depth of flavor * Pan-fried chicken dumplings - perfectly crispy on the bottom, tender on top * General Tso's with fried noodles - the perfect balance of sweet and savory This place is truly amazing! The staff is fantastic - very attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. The restaurant itself is very clean, and I absolutely love that you can watch them cooking your food. There's something special about seeing the care and skill that goes into each dish. What really sets this place apart is that they make everything from scratch. You can taste the difference, and unlike most Chinese restaurants, you don't leave feeling tired or weighed down. The food is fresh, flavorful, and leaves you feeling satisfied in the best way. Plus, the portions are insanely large! You'll definitely have leftovers to enjoy later, which makes it an even better value. I highly recommend giving Noodles & Dumplings a try - you won't be disappointed! We'll definitely be back soon.

There are also several house Asian fried rice, chow mein, and Szechuan dishes. We had the Red Oil Wantons appetizer and the Pork Bao and the Shrimp Xiao Long Bao. One note before the food review. The table was sticky. Pardon the pun, but I'm a stickler for clean tables and floors. My rule of thumb is if a restaurant is willing to have a not so nice dining area, imagine what the kitchen is like. Everything looked clean, except the tactile table. The did clean again upon request. Very friendly staff. The Red Oil Wonton were delicious. Well spiced with only what can described as a tiny meatball inside the soft wanton. The stuffed wanton are worth a trip back. Xiao Long Bao is a filled dumpling with soup in it. You put the dumpling in a spoon, take a small bite or poke it with a chopstick, then eat. The broth on the bao was great. Very flavorful as you "popped" the bao and drank it (they supply a big spoon). Other than the logistical challenge of using chopsticks and a large spoon, very tasty broth and stuffing. Special mention for the shrimp broth. Unusual taste. Some in Louisiana may think it's a bit "off" but I really didn't think so. It reminded me of those little dry shrimp they used to sell next to the cash registers at grocers, lol. Just a different shrimp taste. Overall, worth a return trip. Or a visit for something different. On Siegan Lane. $$

I got both the black pepper sauce and the gravy on the side because my son hates sauces lol. Unfortunately they didn't send my egg roll, but I believe in a universe that is all about balance so they did send me the full order of chicken, instead of the lunch size so it made up for the lack of egg roll. The egg foo young was so full of cabbage and shrimp and it was fried to perfection. The gravy was also thick and the perfect color. It added the right amout of salt to the dish. The black pepper chicken is always a hit. It normally comes with onions and bell peppers but I asked them to hold it in the rice so they may have assumed I didn't want it in the chicken either. Overall, I'd definitely order from them again. I ordered online so I dk how the ambiance is but I can imagine the service is pretty good because my order came fast and was extra fresh and hot.
