Noodle express is usually the place for that We order our food , and sat right in front of the restaurant waiting for our name to be called 20 mins go by nothing my husband goes up to check it out and they staff seems confused and says they are still working on it . So my husband comes back and we wait , and watch other names being called ( people who came way after us ) he goes up again and apparently our food had been ready this whole time they set it aside to be take out . And never even called our names . I'm sure the food will be good however the service is terrible and now our food will be cold by the time we get home . Worst part is that we have to tip them for their service before hand . SMH . read more

I don't even know what to say at this point, Called in an order from the Southgate location in Early January, Called ahead since the order was large and my partner came to pick it up.. she got there only to find out YOU CANT EVEN USE THE GIFT CARDS YOU SOLD US. Was told it would be 2 weeks and its been 3 MONTHS. Every employee I've talked to has no known timetable to be able to use them again. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. The complete And utter disregard by 'corporate' not supplying the machines to be able to use THEIR OWN GIFTS CARDS is quite honestly, embarrassing. The fact that you are still selling them(at least when I searched online) is one of the shadiest business practices I've ever seen. Is there a way to return it?!? Has this happened to anyone else?! I always order the Chicken Osaka and the food is good. But today I ordered 50/50 slaw and rice and definitely did not get that and had to pay extra. I am also pretty sure I did not get extra chicken. This is the third fail at Noodle Express for my spouse and I. He always orders a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with extra sauce and chicken and the last two times there has been no sauce on his noodles and they are bone dry. I am shocked by the bad reviews of Noodles Express! It sounds like people are expecting it to be gourmet. Come on people, the place has the word "express" in it's name. For a fast-casual restaurant in Montana, this place gets a solid four stars. My favorite is the chicken teriyaki bowl. I would kill to have a cheap and tasty teriyaki place like this in San Diego. I love the Asian slaw that comes with the bowl, it has a nice tang and a perfect crunch. The chicken itself is never dry, and the teriyaki marinade is the perfect blend of sweet and salty. I always ask for an extra side of sauce to put on my rice. I also really like their signature ginger salad dressing. The salad itself isn't the greatest, but the dressing is so good I could drink it. The noodle bowls and miso soup are pretty good as well. As far as mall restaurants go, Noodles Express is top-notch. You can get a filling meal for two for under $15. What's not to love? read more

Two stars because the cashier was nice and it was a large portion size...for good or ill. Ordered yakisoba with shrimp to go. First thing I notice is a piece of chicken on top. I don't eat poultry so I had to dig through the rest of it to make sure that was the only piece. Basically it was pretty flavorless. The sauce was thin, watery even, and just fell to the bottom without coating anything. Lots of zucchini and plenty of shrimp. No cabbage. Just none of the flavors that would distinguish it as yakisoba. I wish there had been a bottle of siracha on the counter that I could have dosed it with before leaving. Now, some of the reviews suggest that not much should be expected from fast food at a mall. But, why not? I've had some really good, flavorful yakisoba from food trucks. read more

The menu always looks so great but the food you actually receive tastes like leftovers. I always have so much hope because I love the chicken Osaka when it's cooked right, but either the meat is all grissly or the rice is greasy. It's never consistent. I got the pork noodle soup to go today and it is pretty gross. It's not even warm, it's super greasy and the noodles taste gummy. And the pork bits floating on top are bland and taste old. The grill seems caked with burnt grease, the cashier / phone person is rude and is obviously just there. The pagers they give you are all dead so you have to stand there in the window waiting for your order, just to lose your table to another customer. Not a good Friday night dinner. Just counted 16 people in line and the guy is on the phone. Get better staffing. The wait for the gourmet Asian fusion is ridiculous. No real system to let people know their orders are ready since the pagers are dead. Watched people's food sitting in the "warming window" for over 10 mins and when the customer finally asked, was made to feel like it was their fault the food was cold. After 15 mins of waiting, was told my $29 dollar order was overlooked. No apology no offer to refund my money so I can find someplace else to eat where I won't grow that much older waiting. Nothing about making the problem right. Now the food..salty and the "salad" is wilting. Nothing crisp about those greens. If my kid didn't like it so much Id never eat here. When I went to the Noodle Express I enjoyed it. The noodles were yummy and I had lots of veggies included. The things I did not like were the pork tasted funny and the pot stickers were really odd tasting. I feel like the prices are not very high for mall food and the portion size was large enough for my family we couldn't quite finish ours it was so big. The staff was okay but could have been better the cashier was nice but the cooks took almost thirty minutes and there was only one person in front of us and he ordered one thing. This place is over priced for what you get and average at best. I gave it three stars because sometimes the food is really good, while other times it's bland or doesn't taste fresh. If you want to add vegetables to a kid's portion, expect to pay an extra dollar for barely any veggies. The kitchen area is in open view and always looks really messy. The staff (which consists of mostly college age men) can either be very friendly or rather standoffish depending on the day and who you talk to. If you dine in they tend to gossip a lot and I've heard them make derogatory comments about women in the mall, which is very disrespectful in my opinion. I feel like a Panda Express would be cheaper, faster, and tastier. It's sad we don't have one in Missoula. read more

Just came from Noodle Express at the mall in Missoula. After ordering my dinner I waited 20 minutes but no dinner. After another 5-10 minutes standing at the counter to ask about my dinner, I finally got someone's attention. They asked my name, looked it up and told me there was a mistake with my name. Then asked what I ordered. I told her and she took an order that was returned and left on the counter (I watched the whole thing play out), and handed it to me. These employees did nothing about finding the person who ordered that food, nor did this woman think giving me this food was a bad idea. She did not offer me fresh food or comp me. Not even an apology. From the look on my face, she realized I was not happy. She then said I could talk to a manager, but she was really busy and had to help the people waiting in line. I was so livid I just walked away and trashed the cooling food. I am so disgusted with this place. Tomorrow the store manager will hear from me. read more

I have never seen worse customer service than what I experienced. The pagers they give out are dead and multiple customers complained to be told they would be called when their order was ready. This never happened, instead the got busier and started missing and not completing orders. I spent more than 20 minutes standing around having customers around me receive their food that ordered after me. The cashier spends more time dealing with the phone than taking orders; and answered the phone while I was ordering! They are understaffed, terribly managed, and their food is subpar because of the total lack of care in preparing it. McDonald's is a better idea; and that's saying a lot. read more

I have been going to noodle express for many years as I work nearby. I have always found the staff friendly and courteous. I do know nobody is 100 percent perfect and a mistake can happen but I have never had a bad order in all the years. I do believe we can have a bad day and nothing going right for us so you try to blame it on others........this a a great lunch menu for all working people fast and friendly.
