Sat at the bar and the bartenders was very attentive. The music was at a good tempo and inviting. Did not order any food.

This guy is extremely racist! He ignored me and my family several times but proceeded to assist the white patrons next to us and on the other end of the bar. At first we thought it was a mistake or he couldn't hear us but after it happened more than twice we knew we weren't welcome because of what we look like. Do not spend your money here!

Súper cute decor. Drinks were good and so was the food. Service was quick and staff was friendly.

After a walk through Old San Juan we grabbed passion fruit mojitos here - they advertise that they are the best mojitos in town and I wouldn't argue otherwise. The mojito was fruity but not too sweet. Grab one and relax at the bar (which has a definite dive feel)

We stumbled upon this hidden gem!!! We stopped by because this is what our kids call their uncle. The service was OUTSTANDING! The food was fantastic. I had the trifungo which is a Puerto Rican dish. Amazing. Fried plantains and of course Puerto Rican pork!!! Delicious! Local beer was delicious. I literally can't say enough good things about this place. I'd recommend you give it a try if you're nearby!!!!

I love this place! It's my happy place! If you ever have the opportunity to visit my hometown Puerto Rico, this is the place to stop! It's a very nice open bar! Great balcony with a view! You have a variety of drinks and Music! It's located in a great spot for whatever event is happening in San Juan! Specially "La fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián" in January.

Bar at Nono's in Old San Juan

This local bar in Old San Juan is a favorite of our! Always nice to sit and sip on a cold mojito, piña colada or one of their imported draft beers. It took a while before an actual bartender showed up, hence the 3 stars. But our drinks were delicious and refreshing! Looking forward to returning again soon.

A cool place to take a break after the fort tour or when you need a rest after walking so much. We sat at the bar and had a couple of beers. Bartender was decent and the other customers behaved themselves. I like the decor and the open atmosphere.

I actually fell in love with this place, along with my fiance. My brother was taking us bar hopping and this ended up as our last stop. Why? Because we didn't want to leave! Be prepared to walk up two flights of narrow steps. I do not know how the Puerto Rican women do it in those heels. It was a gorgeous night and all the doors were open allowing for a breeze. We played a few rounds of pool; I want to say it was $1 per game. Drinks were delicious. I have no idea what we had though. I told the bartender what I liked and he whipped up something not only tasty, but strong! We were also lucky enough to try some of the bartender's homemade stuff since my brother knew him. The music playing was my favorite; EDM and house music.

Drink review only .... this was a great place to stop in for a cold refreshment. We hit Nono's after touring the forts and finding our way back to Fortaleza. The beers were cold, the mojitos tasty and the service quick. The decor was perfect for a dive bar. A big plus, they were playing some slamming salsa and mambo music to put you in the Old San Juan state of mind. I would have been happy to spend more time here, but there were too bars and too little time... =)

It's like walking through a time machine and landing back in a forgotten time. The corner eatery with the old wooden bar caught my eye. It is in the heart of Old San Juan. Funny that the minute I asked about beers on tap he knew I was going to go for an IPA. I tasted that and a blonde and decided to stay with the IPA. It was a Boquerón IPA. Great taste and filling. I looked over the menu nicely displayed on board and decided to go with a ceviche and calamari. The ceviche came served on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes and onions and tostones. What a well thought out combination! My tastebuds were happy! A little salt on the tostones and we were set. (Actually a lot of salt is always required on tostones but don't tell my primary doctor). As if that was not good enough, I loaded the calamari with local juicy limes squeezed till they were drained of all their goodness. I must say, these were not calamari from a box. Fried to perfection. I was stuffed. Highly recommend the food and friendly service. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning but there was a nice breeze and ceiling fans.

Oh, Nono's what can I not say about you! This was my first time in YEARS (high school days) that I stopped by Nono's. This was the high school hangout spot for anyone wanting a late night hip-hop/reggaeton fix. I stopped by and asked the bartender for something sweet and he came up with his own cocktail and it was delicious. He was certainly a gem. This is a great spot to hangout, enjoy music with friends, and play some pool. The prices are still reasonable, especially for being in the heart of Old San Juan. I'll definitely be back to enjoy great drinks and company.

Good place for hanging out and having a beer. Not good for eating anything. It's a bar after all.

If you're looking for the perfect dive bar experience in Old San Juan, this place absolutely nails…read moreit. From the moment you walk in, you feel the vibe. It's small, loud, a little gritty, and completely inviting--exactly what a true dive bar should be. The walls are covered in graffiti and stickers from years of visitors leaving their mark, and honestly, that's part of the magic. You can't help but look around and smile at all the personality packed into such a cozy space. One of my favorite details? Look over to the right corner of the bar and you'll spot what looks like a vintage cash register straight out of the 1800s. Then right in the middle of the bar you've got the modern point-of-sale devices. The contrast is hilarious and perfect--old-school charm meeting modern bar life. There's a pool table, plenty of seating for such an intimate spot, and yes, a restroom inside (always appreciated in Old San Juan!). But what really makes this place stand out is the service--the staff is fantastic, welcoming, and they pour seriously strong drinks that are also refreshingly affordable. This is the kind of place where you come for one drink in the afternoon and suddenly the whole evening disappears in great conversation and good vibes. If you're wandering the streets of Old San Juan and want authentic dive bar energy, great drinks, and a place full of character, this is absolutely a must-stop. Highly recommend.

AMBIANCE: Parking: Welcome to Old San Juan, it get get pretty busy - best to carpool or do public transportation. Seating: Indoor seating or private cabana set ups for groups. Room for a total of 100 people. Feels: Welcome to Old San Juan, a mix of touristy and culture. The spot itself is popular for locals and tourists. As for the space itself, what's unique about this spot is this place isn't just one bar. It's actually a series of connected rooms (about 6-7 different spaces), each with its own vibe - speak easy, dance, casual, house, live music and more! I'm surprised each room can contain it's sounds while maintaining its own energy. It feels like a speakeasy maze meets nightlife experience. Dim lighting, vintage touches, and just enough chaos in a good way. DRINKS/EXPERIENCE It was such a fun night, not sure what I ordered but there is an abundance of flavors as every room has different selections. But popular drinks if you're looking for guidance - lavendar mule, espresso martini, a classic mojito. They got the classic to your well-crafted cocktails. Some spots provide food while others is sip and chill or sip and dance. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Fast-paced but solid. Staff keeps up with the crowd and still manages to be engaging. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars! Good choices, reasonable prices, and a vibe like no other. As a gemini that can be quite indecisive, I enjoyed this spot - especially with its multiple options. This is more than a bar - it's an experience. A spot where the night can go longer than expected. TIPS: * Walk through ALL the rooms--you'll miss half the experience if you don't
