I can't even remember what I had here. My two best friends and I went to Puerto Rico back in 2007. We visited family and friends and of course had to go sight seeing as I hadn't been there since I was little. We were on scooters, you know the little mopeds you rent in Isla Verde. Well we saw this place and were extremely thirsty, so we decided to come in and have a drink. The bartender was super cool and his wife apparently owned the restaurant and it was amazing. This morning I woke up craving their rice and beans and to stones but I still can't remember why we had exactly. So I give it a 5. We went here twice in the same day last week. We started for a drink and the bar tender was nice but nothing great. Later after friends came in from the airport we went for food and drinks. We started during happy hour which was B1G1F which was awesome. We asked to order food not realizing they have a restaurant behind (next to) the bar. The bar tender was great he told us not to move that he would get us a waitress from next door. Our waitress came and was super nice considering we where not in her area. She took our order with out writing it down and repeated it to everyone and all the food came out perfect. The food was delicious and it's a mix of American and Puerto Rican food. Our bartender also made sure we got a round of drinks in before the special ended and he was rewarded in the tip department. It was a great place with wonderful staff and good food. A perfect spot to grab a cold drink after strolling around El Moro or through Old Town. Nice bartenders, strong drinks, and a classic bar. One thing I can't figure out is why they use Splenda in their mojitos!? Makes no sense whatsoever, unless it's at the customer's request. Bizarre. How do you like getting robbed by your bartender ? Not so much huh? Well me neither! We went to this place on a Sunday night while exploring the city and after reading good reviews. Well we don't understand where those come from! We ordered mojitos and a beer. And while drinking our mojitos we noticed a weird taste. It turned they were made with Splenda which(as 2 out of 3 people from the industry ) we believe should be notified to the customer. We asked him to make us the second round with actual brown sugar and he finally made it after flipping the bucket of sugar bags over on the bar and saying he had None left. ( with attitudes of course)... Better but still not the best mojito you've had. The worst comes with the bill. The beer was counted $4.75 and the mojitos $9. Just to put this in perspective la FACTORIA, which is worldwide famous and that makes much greater cocktails crafted by real bartenders, has live music and Djs DOESN'T charge as much. And actually nowhere in PR have we paid $9 for a mojito and nearly $5 for a beer. This was really upsetting as the bar was far from being busy and that we were nothing but friendly and polite. (As if that could justify anything anyway) If those are the prices then it should be classified as a $$$ on yelp not $ . We highly doubt it! read more

They're a great place to go during the late afternoon when you're burnt out on touristy stuff but most of the bars aren't open yet. One of my favorite bars in Old San Juan. Open air bar and great location right across from El Morro...very relaxing. They have a variety of Sam Adams beer and a couple of other macrobrews for those that do not want to drink the same ol' lagers. They have a nice bar but no Jagermeister for those that prefer Jager-Bombs...like those that I am usually with, but that's ok, there are plenty of other shots to choose from. If you are hungry, they will bring a menu from the next door establishment for you to order food. A very nice gesture on their part.
