Nonna's was our choice for dinner on day 2 at Center Parcs.
Between our party of 5, we ordered the 'Kids Spaghetti', a pizza with kebab, the steak with tagliatelle, the 'Insalata per Me' with chicken and the spaghetti carbonara plus a side salad. We also got the ciabatta as an appetizer to share.
The ciabatta with spread came in a cute tiny mason jar and turned out to be a fresh pesto with a base of fresh tomatoes. I found it quite tasty - I just wish the bread had been a bit less dry.
My Insalata per Me with chicken was great. Lots of different veggies and a decent amount of chicken. They were not able to do a balsamico dressing, but their Italian house dressing was fine as well and not too overpowering.
Junior loved the kids spaghetti and also made quite the dent into MIL's spaghetti carbonara. ;)
My husband's steak and tagliatelle was rather disappointing. The steak was small in size and not the best cut since it turned out rather chewy. The pasta was OK, but again the portion size was pretty small for the price of this dish.
FIL was fine with his pizza with kebab that also came with a tzatziki dipping sauce, but I tried it and it was just OK. I think the pizza would have tasted better with other toppings.
Overall, Nonna's is not the worst place to pick for dinner, but don't expect any outstanding, authentic Italian fare. read more
