Even though he was in Hamden and I'm in Madison, I crossed my fingers he'd come this far. He did so as a favor when he was in the area. He was incredibly responsive to texts, and even called me to discuss the pictures of dead/alive ants I sent him and ask questions. When we determined that we needed to spray the perimeter (which he came back to do another time when it wasn't so damp out), he stayed in touch with me to learn about progress after the spray to make sure it was effective. He clearly loves his life's calling, and is a delight to work with. From now on, I will have him come every spring (and whenever I spot a yellow jacket's nest as well!)

It's been a few years so I thought I would update my review:…read more 1. Outdoor Mosquito & Tic service - I have continued this service every year and my mosquito population continues to decline. BRAVO! I will not stop until complete destruction :) It amazes me that I've gone from a swampy, mosquito infested back yard where no one would even walk through, to being able to sit our back and enjoy the Spring & Summer evenings taking in nature. Just amazing and I like that each year we exterminate more and more of those pesky biters. I also have a small dog so the added tic angle is a bonus and a welcome one at that! 2. Indoor service - The initial application worked so well, and all my kitchen ants were gone so I cancelled the following year. The year after that, however, they returned again in Spring. So, I called PestRX back again and like last time - 1 application completely rid my house of those annoying tiny black ants. I learned my lesson however, as this time I will just keep the service for maintenance and never see them again! The workers are VERY professional and know a LOT about insects, little critters and their culture. This understanding helps them explain things and more importantly - to eliminate them. Customer service is top notch as well and there's live people answering calls and talking to you regardless of the topic. When I bought a 2nd house and needed a termite inspection - who do you think I called? Another terrific service and job! 2 thumbs up for the PestRX service and Team!

I tried doing it myself using a spray bottle with 1/2 water & 1/2 dish soap to be as environmentally safe as possible and then once soaked, I used a broom handle in my attempt to knock it down (I was behind the screen door). Huge mistake, didn't work and just made them rebuild it larger in 1 1/2 days! Luckily for us, this company was recommended and they did not disappoint! Dealt with Mickey who set up the appt right away after explaining the situation. Joe Jr was our hero to the rescue! He was on time, had everything he needed, suited up and got right to work! Sprayed the nest, tore the nest down & bagged it, then sprayed some more so they wouldn't come back again and it's been over a week being hornets nest free! Joe let me take a video while he was wrangling this nest down which was very cool & family members loved it. I highly recommend this company for any & all pest issues! They are definitely the best!! Thanks again Mickey & Joe Jr! It's been a pleasure dealing with you both and will definitely use your services again when/if needed! The pics with the dead hornet bodies are from the next day, Joe had said any of them that are left & touch where he sprayed will die and they sure did! Yay!!
