I had heard wonderful things about Nola's, so decided to order through them. The ordering process was delightful from the personable customer service and thoughtful comments to the beautiful arrangement with an extra touch of a butterfly accent. I simply provided my budget and was assured that colorful, fresh, lovely smelling posies would be delivered the next day. I went to Nola's Flowers to get flowers for a birthday. I had no idea what I wanted and she did amazing. I told her to do whatever she thought looked best. She showed me a few flowers and let me look at different kinds. I ordered at 12pm and it was ready for pickup by 3pm. The flowers are stunning. Much better than anything I've seen in big stores. Unfortunately, there are no options for a zero star. My wife and I ordered flowers from Nola flowers for our daughter on January 20th. Our daughter sent us two pictures of the flowers she received on January 21st that showed the flowers were wilted (see below photos). My wife called Nola and informed her of the situation and she became very defensive and told my wife she was heading out of town for a hockey game and said she would follow up on Monday (January 23rd) and abruptly hangs up on my wife. My wife then sends her this email (see below photo). Of course Monday comes around and there is no follow-up phone call to set things right. My wife sends a second email on January 26th to no response. To consumers, take heed to righteous and unaccountable people who sell you a product. read more

My husband and I got married a little over a year ago, and we had a very simple wedding. The only flowers I wanted were a bouquet of blush pink roses in a pretty glass vase. I visited Nola's shop, and ordered my flowers. She said it would be no problem, and charged me over $90 (which seemed overpriced to me). On the day before the big day, my husband-to-be and I showed up to pick up the flowers. Nola looked panicked, and said she accidentally sold all of her blush pink roses (!), so would I like some other ones instead? My heart sank, and I wasn't sure how to handle things. I went ahead and chose something else, since I wasn't sure I could find one dozen blush pink roses the day before the wedding at some other shop. She did offer me a free corsage, past its prime, but she really should've offered me a refund or a steep discount (my choice). SO disappointing! read more

Super easy to work with. I called this shop to have flowers delivered to my niece's dorm room for her birthday. I explained to the lady what my budget was and she was very accommodating. The flowers delivered to my niece were stunning! So bright and cheerful-just like her! I'm not from Winona, but I appreciate wonderful locally owned businesses. This one seems top notch. Another classic Downtown Winona business in Minnesota

Nola made 2 beautiful very large bouquets for the pulpit and lectern for my father's celebration of life service at Central United Methodist Church a few years ago. She went out of her way to get flowers in colors that complement the large stained glass windows behind the alter, because that's what we requested. She also did a gorgeous smaller bouquet for the table on which Daddy's ashes were placed. Most of the flowers that came from friends and relatives were from Nola's too. They were all beautiful. She does an excellent job, has helpful suggestions and goes out of her way to accommodate personal requests . Sad to say that I am looking Nola's information up so I can send flowers for the celebration of the life of Daddy's dear friend. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Nola's Flowers. I had hired her two months before my wedding to do my flowers. I feel that I was pressured into making a decision and giving her a deposit towards my flowers because she had said that because I was choosing silk flowers, she needed to place the order right away. I told her what my budget was and she told me that she would do her best to stay within my budget. I called and stopped by several times to inquire about my order. Every time, there were no flowers, which led me to believe it truly was not necessary to have made my deposit so she could order the flowers. I also inquired about the budget and where we were at and every time I was told she would do her best. Two weeks before my wedding, I met with her, along with my wedding planner. She finally had a few of my flowers. I again asked about how much this was going to cost me and if the budget I was able to afford could buy what I was asking for. I could not get an answer. Four days before my wedding, Nola asked me to stop by and view the arrangements she had made so far. My bouquet was beautiful and my other items were beginning to be worked on. I inquired about the budget, again. This time she said, "Flowers cost money, you know and honestly I didn't realize you hired a wedding planner and not just any wedding planner, the best one in the entire coulee region and I'm sure you paid her a pretty penny!" She wanted me to pay her more than what we had agreed to. I didn't feel how I was choosing to spend my money was any of her concern but I told her I was not willing to go over my budget. I also told her it was her job to have informed me what my money could buy me and she had failed to do that, repeatedly. She became angry and started to yell at me and said she "knew it was going to end up like this!" I explained to her that if I had to make a choice between having beautiful flowers and a wedding planner, I would choose my wedding planner because I didn't want my elderly, sick father and mother in law or my friends and family working on my wedding day. She behaved this way in front of me and my teenage daughter! Four days before my wedding, I chose to terminate her services, forfeited my deposit and thankfully, the wedding planner I hired took care of everything and my wedding turned out beautifully! read more
