So obviously, both times, I have not been very close to City Center. However, I have been to City Center a few times in the last month and I am IMPRESSED with how much it is growing and expanding. I probably wouldn't have came to this park if it hadn't been for the farmer's market. I am in my early 20s and have no idea what to do at a park. Despite the farmer's market being very busy, there was still plenty of parking--I was quite impressed with the layout of the parking lot in particular. So I park my Jeep and head over. There were all kinds of vendors; food, handmade items, etc.. Then they had this massive play area for kids to enjoy. If you went a bit further, they also had a gazebo with tables. At the time of my visit, this was being occupied by some kind of reunion. It was a massive area so it is perfect for something like a reunion or party. They also did have some kind of splash area. Parks, especially ones with playgrounds, are not really targeted for my demographic--that being a single woman in her 20s with no children or even a dog. I wouldn't say this would be somewhere I would go out of my way for unless there is another fun event happening. I did enjoy seeing the cute dogs.

I've been to this park many times in the past year that it been open and today was a ton of fun!…read more We did part of my Family Reunion at the park today from 8:30am-5pm and the kids and adults were never bored! We had about 70 people attending and about 40 of them were kids ages 0-19. There was something fun for all ages! (Ok, to be honest the 2 month old didn't really say she had fun; but my 5 month old enjoyed laying on a blanket watching everyone around her so even the babies enjoyed it!) With it being a family reunion I had family in town from California, Arizona, and all around Utah and everyone was way impressed with all the amenities they had at this park! The families from Arizona were especially jealous; I guess where they live they don't have cool parks. We started off playing all over the park equipment and with us being there so early before the splash pad opened; we had the park to ourselves until 9:45am! Once the splash pad opened the kids transitioned to the water area and spent hours playing all over. We rented 2/3 of the large pavilion and were able to fit all of us easily under our part of the pavilion. If you need an outdoor area to gather lots of people; consider renting the pavilion! I think it was only like $50 (but I can't remember). We then had a big game of Kickball in their festival field area and then moved over towards the Pickleball courts where we had a Pickleball Tournament! We had teams of ages 12-61 playing so if you're looking for a mix between tennis and ping-pong: Pickleball is for you! Heads up: Bring your own equipment! We were prepared and had all we needed, but don't expect to rent out any equipment at the park. Also: Bring a canopy/tent or some type of shade! The pavilions are great; but if you want to get closer to the splash pad, bring your own shade! Overall: The day was amazing! One of my nephews has special needs and is in a wheelchair and he was able to ride on swings and other play equipment because they are "all needs accessible". I really liked that!

There are quite a few trails and pathways that lead to the north side of Utah lake and I've seen people frequent them. I wouldn't recommend the pond for swimming , but it's great for some casual fishing and watching ducks swim around. There are lots of shaded bench areas as well and also areas I've seen people set up hammocks to relax. Quite easy to get to and free street parking. A nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of Saratoga, Lehi and American Fork.

While my 10 and 8 year olds fulfill their mountaineering dreams my little can bring me peace swinging on the baby secure swings and preschool fire truck slide. This park also provides basketball courts, large grass field, stage, bathrooms, water fountains (yes, more than one), spout, and a large pavilion with picnic tables. It's one of our go-to family gathering, birthday party, and picnic parks.

The playground is in train shape-even surrounded by railroad crossing signs and a bridge. There are a few slides, rock structures to climb on and a nearby bench for caregivers to watch at a safe distance. There is a large open field as well-I saw a soccer game going on when we visited. A pavilion is adjacent to the park as well-perfect for birthday parties. And a parking lot with ample space for all the park goers prevents street crowding for the neighbors that share the road with the park.

It seemed most of the parks around were memorial parks with no playground. Then, we found Skyline Nature Park and it has become a family favorite! There's a little bit here for everyone: playground for the kids, open grass for laying down a picnic blanket, pavilion for hosting parties, walking paths, and an exercise park to burn some calories (has exercise stations such as pull up bar, sit up bench, etc). The playground is dinosaur themed which they incorporated perfectly into the equipment. The little one loved that! There were benches immediately around the playground so I could sit and watch. There was even a fun little electronic light game that I enjoyed! Pick a game on the sign and then you will jump around the system hitting lights to score points (1-player or 2-player options). If you're looking for a great place to gather with family and friends, get in some good exercise, or just need the kids to burn off some excess energy before dinner, Skyline Nature Park is the place to go!

There's even a sort of tiny hydraulic elevator that's you don't find elsewhere. Overall the equipment caters to littler kids, but there is plenty to keep interest of older kids too. I wouldn't be thrilled about the idea of sending kids to this park without supervision...although it's not exactly 'ghetto' like other reviewers have said, there are some 'unsavory' characters hanging out around this particular part of town from time to time.

They seem to be cracking down on the teenage kids to come over to hang out, but in after school hours, you were definitely going to see them in the picnic area I will say, that the picnic area and the playgrounds, and restrooms, are a little more run down and haven't had a lot of sprucing up in the last several years, but they're still tidy and functional. There's something magical and serene about finding a puddle of mud and playing in it. Even as…read moreadults, it's still appealing, so there's no surprise to me that I found about 15 adults soaking in the natural hot spring, or puddle of mud, found at Inlet Park. As I understand, the hot springs are on private property, but the owner is ok with people visiting as long as they are respectful of the land and get out at 10pm. You park in the parking lot and then walk a few minutes through the trees until you get to the hot springs. There are some areas that are hotter than others and when you find the "hot spots" it's fun to sink your feet and legs into the pit. It's as close to quicksand than I've ever experienced.

They have great visual exhibits, labelling placards, and fun interactive activities. 10/10 worth the stop, and I can't believe this place is free to the public. (Photography requires a $10 pass) It was the perfect backdrop for what we were doing, and we had a great time exploring the gardens through the park along the way.

The Conservation Garden Park is a wonderful place-both as a (free) garden to stroll through that's…read moreeven kid friendly, PLUS a valuable educational resource for all things landscape and water conservation. If you're doing any installation or modification to your yard, this should be your first stop in drafting a plan. They have a mock "house" with a front and back yard installed to see life sized examples of what a water-wise yard could look like. They also have a pathway with different park strip models to get ideas on how you could "flip your strip" from all grass to anything from rock to varieties of plants. It's truly remarkable and such a great way to see something tangible rather than just a rendering on paper. In addition to the educational gardens, there are staff members who are trained and passionate about landscape design, functionality, water conservation and horticulture-and everything in between. They can suggest the best watering system or the right category of plants to consider for your yard based on what you want (function, aesthetic, sturdiness, etc.) If you think that water conservation means rocks and cactus in your yard, think again. That's an option, sure, but these folks have put in a ton of effort to research and educate the public on alternative options. I left here after a tour super excited and inspired about what we can do in our local communities to beautify our landscape while being mindful about our most precious resource-water.
