We had a very small, intimate backyard wedding. Our wedding photos came out so beautiful and the video highlight reel transported us back to that day, bringing all the feels along with it. I really loved Anne's communication, especially with our phone call a month before the wedding to work out the kinks. Absolutely ADORED her direction day-of. No wasted time and she made us look great in every photo! David was so slick with the camera work as well, half the time we didn't even know he was there! Kim did an amazing job editing our highlight video and really captured all the details in 3 minutes. He synced it well with the music we chose too (Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish). I highly recommend Something New and Blue team to capture your day!!!

I chose Anne and Dave as the videographers for my March 2023 wedding for two main reasons: (1) they…read moreoffered a video package that I wanted, that few others did, and at a reasonable price. It was really important to me to have a copy of the raw footage from my wedding, because I knew I was going to be too busy to remember the ceremony and the toasts, and all those other important moments. Anne and Dave offered a package that included this footage, and at a reasonable price. The other videographer I had found who offered this was charging an exorbitant amount. (2) I spoke with Anne before hiring her, and I really liked her. She responded to my email inquiry very quickly. When we talked about their packages, she gave me her honest opinion--that, for what I was looking for, one of their cheaper packages would be sufficient. She could have tried to upsell me, but the fact that she didn't showed me that she has integrity. I also just really liked her energy when I spoke with her. She seemed really earnest, cheerful, and supportive. I'm so pleased with the work that Anne and Dave did. They arrived early to the venue and worked nonstop until after the first dance. Our photographer seemed to enjoy working with them, to the extent that I thought they were already friends (but they'd all just met that day). Anne and Dave both had good suggestions for certain shots they wanted, and even recommended some shots to the photographer. Lastly, there was a point before the ceremony where I was extremely stressed and frustrated, and Anne came over under the guise of fixing my necklace, but I think she was also trying to help me take deep breaths. She wasn't being condescending or anything, it was just a natural extension of her calm energy. That moment helped ground me, and helped me feel like I had someone supporting me. I could cry just thinking about it, because she knew what I needed in the moment. We received our highlight video less than 2 months after the wedding, and it's so cute! I'm excited to go through the raw footage next. This experience has been 100% positive.

Firstly, through all of her communications (text l, emails, phone calls), she walks you through what happens during the entire process. I appreciated this so I knew what to anticipate in advance. She makes you feel comfortable sharing any of your concerns and asking her any questions, she takes her time and cares. She really makes it easier providing advice on your selection of clothing, what looks good on you and on the camera and what may not, so you have and idea what to shop for. It is apparent that she's been doing this for a long time, you get to the location, everything is ready to go and she makes you feel right at home. Kristina greeted me with a welcome gift with well thought out goodies. Her hairdresser/makeup artist, Jenn, was the best! Kristina informed Jenn of my idea for hair and makeup, so Jenn already had an idea on what to do for me and just asked me a few questions. The outcome whoa, Jenn was so spot on with the look I was trying to capture, I loved it! Kristina and Kelly, Assistant, styled my 4 outfits and shoes, determining what would look optimal for me. Kristina even had delicious refreshments to keep us fed during the 4 hours. Boy did that 4 hours go by fast! The Joshua Tree location was spectacular with a beautiful pool and the beautiful desert landscaping in the backyard, most importantly it was private. The best part was taking the pictures. Kristina is fun, funny, walks you through what to do, plays music and has a proactive way to make you feel comfortable, that you even get goofy. From her Gallery in her website, she has taken so many awesome shots, which is why I decided to go with her. Besides, she makes you feel like a badass during the shoot. I can't wait to see my pictures! Thank you Kristina for the positive energy, the great experience and hospitality!

Every moment was beautifully preserved, and their ability to showcase the emotions and atmosphere is truly commendable. Not only did we have UNI on our sides in our Wedding day, but also our engagement/pre wedding photos as well. Uni agreed to go with us to San Diego and went to 2 locations even though that request was way more than the contract agreement. The photos we received were also many more than what I thought. The photos exceeded our expectations, and we are forever thankful for the lasting memories they've created. UNI always listened and tried to follow your request as much as she could. Working with UNI was an absolute pleasure, and we wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking top-notch wedding photography. Thank you for making our day even more memorable! I understand that his bread and butter is for wedding photography, and those are gorgeous. However, we used Jerrick for our event photography and I have never seen anything better. Truly. Jerrick has had the difficult task of shooting our events, often with 400+ individuals. We give him the vague and important directions of: please capture the vibe of the event. Awful directions. I know that. But I care less about certain moments and certain faces, and I want photos that capture our world. Our impact. Our community. That's hard. That's not, stand here and pose here type of photography. My five-year-old with my iPhone can do that. Jerrick has to photograph a vibe. I don't know how he does it, but he does it every time. And he brings us to tears. Happy tears. I also want to note something else about Jerrick's work that is often overlooked in this industry and I think it deserves to be mentioned. All too often, when a photographer edits their photos to give a bright edit, it ends up lightening skin color as well. As a Latina working with a population of almost all individuals of color, with varying skin tones, it is important that we find a photographer that celebrates our culture, our community, AND our skin tones without making everyone look the same. I have yet to find a photographer who honors our skin tones with the integrity that Jerrick has, while STILL giving us the light, bright photo-edit that we love. Jerrick's work tells a story. And what is so phenomenal to the client, is that you realize that Jerrick is telling YOUR story. Not how he sees it. Not his edited version. Just YOUR story, exactly as it is. In all its beautiful nuanced colors. Please book this artist today.

Immediately we had a good vibe and loved the style of photos they provided. Our photo package gave us the opportunity to work with Victor for an engagement session months before the wedding. From that initial session we could see the great attention to detail and professionalism Victor provided. He made the session so easy going, funny, and kept everything organized for us. Fast forward to our wedding day and the day went so smoothly thanks to Victor's guidance. He worked closely with us to create an itinerary for our special day so the day could be much more organized and we could get our money's worth of pictures. We loved all their tips on posing for photos, capturing best lighting, and making adjustments on clothing/hair/accessories as we went along the day. Our end photos were beautiful and they did a great job on capturing candid moments amongst our loved ones. We received our wedding photos around 6 weeks after the wedding which was amazing. Victor was great with all my edit requests and I can't thank him enough for my back and forth emails :) Overall, hiring Victor and Mayroth as our wedding photographers couldn't have been a better experience for us. It was a bonus that they provided services as a team, I'd definitely recommend booking this 2 photographer option so you can get the most out of your special day and capture it all.
