I have reviewed before and have had two great experiences with this company. Unfortunately I find myself writing a new review as I have passed the 3rd time (out of 6 attempted ) that I have been left on read. They have great things in their rental inventory but I am no longer going to seek them out for rental events. I must admit my events tend to be family dinners so maybe they just rather not cater to small groups but it's very unprofessional to agree to write back promising either a quote or a check of inventory and not responding at all. They seem like very nice people when you greet and speak personally but via telecommunication they can be viewed as rude or standoff-ish. Can't give Sara a zero so here is my experience. I must have called and texted five times before she Sara finally picked up. She agreed to give me a quote and met me at the venue. While at the venue she made it a point to tell me it was her "day off". Our caterer asked her a simple question about draping and if she charged by the foot and Sara was so rude and pointed to the clip board that she was holding, indicating her company name and she could look it up and proceeded to look at me and said, I will get you your quote and left. It made no sense and was totally uncalled. It made things a little awkward but we thought, maybe it was a misunderstanding or something. Beware of this business! NoHo Party Rentals, Moneka Designs and Luis Aceves are business partners, they don't do what you pay them for. We went to Moneka Designs and hired this guy Luis Aceves for our event. We gave Luis a deposit for $2000 for my event he gave us a contract/receive from Moneka Store.. after 2 months he was no longer working there! I asked for my money back but Moneka/Maria Eugenia said she would do my event and will give me the credit for the deposit... She did NOT give me any credit! The date of my event she still charged me $750 for a balloon garland and a backdrop wall, she said that guy Luis was supposed to do the rest of the decorations, he didn't!! He just dumped a bunch of dirty stuff at the venue, things I didn't ask for so I had to rush to the venue after church to clean their mess! He was supposed to take the centerpieces/Cluster candle holders, he left the centerpieces on the floor corner with no candles I ended up using the ones from the venue. I had the worst experience ever!! I pretty much gave them $2000 to do nothing! I have witnesses from the venue, pictures the receipt and a contract from Moneka designs I will file a lawsuit against them! The decoration was not what I paid for.. Sara from NoHo party rentals is the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I have ever dealt with, Luis gets all the chairs and tables from her, after talking to Sara on the phone I decided I didn't want her services because of her awful attitude. They personally came to my house to give me a quote at no charge. I had an event panned for 100 people. Due to an emergency, we had to make changes to our event. We reduced the event to 50 people. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not just because they messed up my order TWICE but because Sara has to be one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional vendors I have ever worked with. 1. They delivered my order two days before my event, almost ruining a surprise I worked so hard on. The most frustrating part is that I contacted them in advance to double confirm the date/delivery time/inventory count. 2. They re-delivered and were missing a chair. When I called Sara to ask about the missing chair, she went off on me saying that this was the second mistake and it was no longer her problem. She said I either figure this out with the person who took my order or go to her warehouse to get the chair myself, mind you my party was starting in an hour! I was triggered by her tone and her rudeness and responded by saying that I wouldn't pay the remaining balance until my order was complete. SHE SHOWS UP TO MY HOUSE THREATENING TO TAKE BACK THE TABLES AND CHAIRS UNLESS I PAID. Who does that?!?! As a business owner/manager, Sara could've handled the situation differently. She could have apologized for her employee's mistakes (since her employees are an extension of her and her business) and could have nicely asked if I could pick up the chair. I knew they were busy, since it was a Saturday, and would have been more than happy to have someone pick up the chair for me. That wasn't our "budget" considering you hadn't even completed the full look yet which we still needed the design to place in the center, and the linens which were yet to be added to the total. And if I remember correctly, you had absolutely NO part in the booking process. I never ever heard your name until my response therefore I'm assuming you got an ego-hurt explanation from Sara about how she thought the situation played out. It doesn't change the fact that we were willing to pay a fee that makes absolutely no sense, and Sara had ZERO courtesy, or even you had no courtesy to say "hey sorry, it's two weeks since your event and even though you booked with us months in advance, we're backing out because our services are too good for you." We had to call to find out that no one was even going to show up the day of when we trusted your company. POINT BEING PEOPLE, I'm not the only one with the review. It's pretty unorthodox how they run their business. Granted they'll always have what you want in stock, which is the complete upside, and pricing is pretty great. But in terms of really giving you peace of mind I had to dock a few points from them for that. Not much follow thru from their end other than sending you texts about your order and asking for more personal information - I kind of felt like I was handing over my purse to a robber...didn't help it was cash only! The timing and delivery method was impeccable though - the delivery guys were always early or on time. But the trucks they use really need some upgrades. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of dealing with Noho Party Rental. We sprung a last minute party plan with some off the wall requests and the entire staff bent over backwards to make our dream a reality. The entire way, they corralled us into the right decisions from color of tablecloths, the amount of space that we'd need for our interactive show and even changed the layout of the tent at the last minute when they found out it would serve us better (and this was after us arguing with them as if we new better). This is the most unprofessional company I have worked with (and I work with ALOT). Because we are the planner and not the bride (who originally hired them), they were unwilling to work with us. They ignored all of our emails and never returned any of our phone calls. When we finally reached them the day of the wedding, the woman that answered said, we are setting them up how the bride requested and hung up on me. I do not recommend you work with this company. My experience with NoHo Party Rental couldn't have been better. So much so that I'm actually writing a review--and I don't get around to doing that very often. I was in a bit of a bind and had a huge event coming up where I needed a giant tent, tables, chairs, chandeliers... the works. It was super high end and needed to have a very premium execution. Not only did they come through, but they came through on time, within budget, and bent over backwards for us when we ran into other issues. First off, the draped tent was gorgeous. Long flowing fabrics in gold, black, and violet surrounded our guests in intimate opulence. Everyone who walked into the space couldn't believe it, and the venue manager assumed that we had paid twice what we did. Secondly, the customer service was second to none. When the venue's power wasn't enough, they sent over and set up a generator for us. When our bartender cancelled on us at, they called in a relative to mix and serve drinks. Sara was with me every step of the way, and I can't thank her enough. That said, this isn't a pretentious overpriced westside party planner that hires out contractors to do the dirty work. NoHo Party Rental is a family business that takes pride in what they do, and they care about their customers. Because they are so good, they are often busy. But don't mistake being busy and brevity as being rude. If you give them enough heads up, make your expectations clear, and treat them like you would like your family business to be treated, they will bend over backwards for you. We were hosting 25 for thanksgiving and needed a tent with rain in the forecast. We are in the city of Ventura and the options were slim and prices reflected it. I found NoHo on craigslist with a special for a certain day that had past, but I still called to see what they could do. The special day offer was for a 20x40 ft tent for only $200. They came back with a price under $300, including delivery all the way from North Hollywood to Ventura, which was great compared to what I was finding in Ventura. All thru the 2 wk process I was able to get in touch with them consistently, like on the first try. The day of delivery, I received consistent texts with regular updates on arrival. They seem to be very busy and hardworking, and all the workers did so happily even though it was late and they said they had two more setups on the way home. We had a bit of rain and some wind but the tent held up wonderfully. The day after Thanksgiving they were there early in the morning to remove everything and I was able to quiz them on prices of other items, including a mechanical bull, window walls, chandeliers and heaters. I don't remember all the quotes, just that they were so reasonable, especially that mechanical bull, which comes with an operator he said, one who is used to doing kids parties and knows how to go really slow for them. We already use a bounce house and waterslide every year so we may add that to happenings. I may sound like an ad, but we seem to have at least one big party per year for one reason or another, so I can't wait to use them again. I just hope they don't get too busy to squeeze us in with such great prices, willingness to drive far no problem and such accommodating happy customer service. I hired NoHo party rental for the tent (w/draping), tables, and chairs for my wedding this last weekend, and they did an amazing job!! Sara was super nice and accommodating, they completely transformed the outdoor, secluded location into an outdoor banquet hall. Everyone complemented me on how great it looked...The day of the event we even decided to add a smaller tent for the food area (buffet style) and they were able to accommodate our last minute change, on time before the event began.
