So, after having to run off a guy from Precision Plumbing for trying to rip me off by overcharging…read moreme by $160.00 I called American Rooter. I asked him on the phone how much he would charge me for clearing a clogged toillet and he told me $98.00. I asked him to come by. He came over and within 5 minutes cleared the toilet and then wrote me an invoice that came out to an even $100. He was professional, did not try to upsell me, did not try to BS me in any way, and just fixed the problem, charged me what he told me it was going to cost, and left. What a refreshing experience. I will call on these guys anytime I need anything done, and will refer him to everyone I can. As for Precision Plumbing...........my advice to everyone is to stay away from them. What they tell you on the phone is not what I was told, and even when the guy came out and I rejected his first offer to clear my toilet for $260, then he told me he had to go call his boss to see if he could do better. He came back in in less than a minute and told me he would do it for $160. This, all after they dispatcher told me it would be $59 plus parts......
