I have personally used the boarding for my whole crew over a holiday, and daycare numerous times and my dogs love it. I cannot recommend TPDT enough. If you are in Cleveland (or even remotely in the area) they are the best when it comes to training, pack walks, daycare, and boarding.

Our dog Maisy is a 4 year old Papillon. We looked into training because of her reactivity to other…read moredogs and we wanted to eventually be able to go on walks with her without her having a meltdown. With her age, we knew training would not be a perfect fix and we just wanted to get to a manageable spot. We found Turning Point Dog Training through a Google search and reached out. Within a day or two (I think it was same day), we got a response from Andrea, one of their dog trainers. Andrea was very accommodating with scheduling as my partner and I both work full time. When we first met with her - we immediately felt comfortable. One thing that I noticed and really appreciated right off is that we were not rushed through an appointment. Andrea took her time with us and we even ended up staying over time. She easily could have said "oh times up" or "I have another appointment". But this showed me that they would take time with our dog. We ended up selecting a 3 week board and train as that is what we felt fit out life best at the moment. Again - we went in with expectations that Maisy may never be perfect, but we wanted manageable. We met up with Andrea for her midway session and then again for a public outing at 3pm in a local park (I never thought I would take Maisy to a busy park with lots of dogs at 3pm), and we were absolutely blown away. It was a night and day difference! Maisy was walking near dogs and not having a full freak out and was able to remain calm. We did have to correct some minor behaviors - but she's still learning and so are we! Those behaviors we corrected though were nothing like anything she did in the past that felt unmanageable. We get Maisy back today from our 3 week board and train and we can't wait to see how it goes integrating what she has learned and what we have learned into our everyday life. I will post another review after a couple of weeks and/or months for an update. But so far, we have had such a great and meaningful experience! Other things we enjoyed: They send daily photo updates so you are never left without seeing your pup! They also have around the clock care and have eyes on your dog almost all the time if not all the time. Maisy was in such good hands.

There was lots of promise of constant communication and additional "pack walk" sessions that were never mentioned again. I tried emailing her numerous times with problems that I was having, and all I got in response is that I have to learn to "pilot" my dog without any additional insight or direction. Never got any further information about these included pack walks. These theories may work for some people, but I learn from practice, not from lecture - for $200, I would expect a little more direction. I went with this particular company based on all the high praise on Yelp, so I wanted to make sure that other people got a complete picture of what they'd be getting.

When I try it they totally blow me off. She did have a couple good ideas for mental work-using a king wobbler for food/treats, and activity-using dog backpacks weighted with rice/beans, however again not worth $200. I also do not think dog training can be effective on one visit-at least one follow up is needed. She did say we could follow up with any questions-but I really don't have questions, I understood her method but it just doesn't work.

Whether your dog is a chewer, a chaser, or a puzzle-solver, there's something here to keep them happy and stimulated. Everything is a bit pricey, but seems worth it given the novelty, quality, and variety. The best part? The store is dog-friendly. There's a super friendly dog (very good girl) in the store who seems to love greeting customers! It gives the place such a warm, welcoming vibe. The owner even asked me about what kind of dogs I have. By the way, I bought my dogs Bocce's Soft & Chewy chicken treats. I only opted for one item because I was in rush and didn't have time to browse. The results were mixed, one of my dogs loved chicken treats (My retriever mix is chicken connoisseur) and my other dog didn't (My Great Dane is very picky and suspicious of new treats). Chase & Chloe were so gracious and helpful during the booking process. It was easy to book a private play session, I've already booked two more. They were both at the door to welcome us when we arrived. The room was clean, spacious, safe and had plenty to do. There was even a cute sign customized for Winnie and George Bailey! Drawers full of balls, puzzles, frisbees, chew toys, snuggle mats. Treats. Agility equipment. And not crappy temu stuff, regulation agility equipment that is safe to use! There was a coffee bar for humans and lots of books for reference as well. The corgs could have played for much longer, but they were so happy to have some chase and play time. They host play groups, seems like it's done by size. When you book a session, it costs $28 and it is a private session for 30 minutes. I highly recommend this for your dogs socialization, and especially for high energy dogs stuck inside in this cold weather!

They used to be associated with Heights Canine, but recently split and rebranded. I cannot overstate how happy we have been with the training provided by David and the support of his staff. Our dog is very energetic, but she has also been very responsive to training and I feel like the best decision we made was to get her into training as soon as possible. The process of training the dog is as much a process of training us about how to train her and David was very patient and corrected us on our method as often as we corrected the dog. It's a mutual learning process and I am entirely satisfied with the results. An additional benefit of training with Miracle K9 is that they offer boarding and as of this writing Monday and Friday day care, but only to training clients. Our dog loves the day care and I'm so happy to know that she is around other dogs who have been through proper training. It's difficult to trust other people's dogs, but I am very comfortable dropping our dog off to socialize knowing that the staff know how to handle the dogs. A co-worker of mine suggested Waggs-N-Whiskers. He said that he takes his cat here often to get its nails clipped and that the staff was kind, in addition to having extremely affordable prices so... I decided to give them a call. I took Severus in for a full Grooming Treatment (which included a shower, haircut, nail clipping, ear cleaning, etc.). While I won't be doing the haircut again, I couldn't be more than happy with the service. The staff called me to let me know how things were going mid service and to let me know when I could come back to get him. I've already scheduled his next two appointments. As long as I'm in Cleveland, I plan to keep returning.
