Look for a yellow "Anazasi Pet Grooming and Boarding" on the top of the building, with a smaller blue "veterinary services" to the left of that. You will not see a doctor's name in the front. I've been using Dr Jackson for the past three years. He is a compassionate veterinarian who takes his time talking with his customers. And he also gets down to the level of the animal. He does not use a financial contractor for his billing, which is one reason why his rates are lower than most other DVMs in town. This is also the reason so many elderly pet owners come here. The office is busy and I get better service when I stop in rather than call as I hate being put on hold. My dogs have been treated by other DVMs here as well: Dr Baird and Dr Huff both can be recommended. All three doctors have spayed my animals and all have recovered beautifully with little scaring. And not one of them has talked down to me. I read the other reviews here. Some were written after an emotional loss of a beloved pet. Doctors are not miracle cures if a customer waits until it's too late to treat a disease. None of the doctors here are "quacks." Some patients refuse to have blood panels done before surgery, and that blood test can identify other issues with cancers or organ failure. Many low-income customers may not want to pay $74 for that blood panel, or extra for added pain medication. So these doctors have to work with what the customers allow to be done. Not all animals can be saved. My senior dog Sweetie had her teeth cleaned today and several abscessed teeth pulled. The vet tech Ben was professional and compassionate as he gently walked Sweetie back to the prep room. I waited an hour in the waiting room with all the other anxious pet owners until I was assured Sweetie was healthy enough at 11 years old to get her choppers cleaned. The price was very reasonable: $240 for the cleaning, $100 for five incisor extractions, $40 for one molar extraction, $74 for blood panel, $74 for IV and fluids. The total came to $555.75 with the post-surgery medications. Other vet clinics in town charge far more for teeth cleaning and extractions. read more

I am totally in shock about what happened today as of 04/16/2026 I have been bringing my Bengal cats here for the past three years with no problems whatsoever. I've been a major part of this businesses revenue bringing them service and work paying them on time and accordingly. I highly appreciated the staff & Alina & Jessica and the girl Ryan who showed up to work with the shortest, white skirt on very unprofessional. When working at a desk job and having to bend over & pick up peoples animals. ‍ Aside from that I had spoken with Alina dr. Watts vet tech multiple times in regards to the paperwork I spoke to her in person & on the phone and expressed to her kindly what my wishes were and she failed to meet the needs of the customer & she lied to my husband, & she lied to me, and told us that she updated the paperwork a simple fix a no-brainer. She never updated the paperwork like she said she did in regards to putting the dates for the summary's on what animals were seen on that day. As far as Ryan goes the receptionist when she called me to come and pick up my animal, that was neutered today I asked her was the date included in today's visit? In the summary Instead of her saying yes she told me oh it's not even in the summary then she asked me is this for your personal use or is this to bring your animal someplace? In which I replied, whether it's for my personal use or to bring my animal someplace I don't see why adding the date within the summary would be a big deal and that really ticked her off. In which I had already asked Jessica the receptionist prior, to have the doctor HUFF add that simple thing in the paperwork which she did just for today's visit. Every other paperwork, for all the other kittens it doesn't have it in there as I had requested with Alina and I gave her ample time to get in there and just make the quick fixes in which she told me she'd go home and work on it and never did. And let's be honest with ourselves anytime there's an appointment. There should always be a date Inside, the summary typed up by the doctor stating on which day this animal had gotten seen. And at the end of the summary, it should say which doctor performed what on whatever animal was administered/seen. Because that is professional, Dr. Huff. Mrs. Huff and puff You should be putting your name at the bottom of a summary when you work on somebody's animal and not put Jackson's Veterinary Services ‼ that's not how it works. You're the professional you need to close the summary with your professionalism at the end of it if you're gonna work on somebody's animal. Period. BUT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ON MATERNITY LEAVE AND YOU'RE AT THE office DOING SURGERIES?? Ryan and Jessica spoke with the accounting manager, and Jessica told me to meet the manager in the animal exam room in which he told me that the ladies in the front did not like me and that I was requesting too much of them &being rude and disrespectful because I was asking them to update my paperwork. which hadn't been done in about three weeks Alina lied to me multiple times saying that she did what I asked her to do kindly and she never did it. These small simple errors in the paperwork could have easily been fixed without any problems whatsoever. and Alina didn't even wanna do it. You could just tell it was irritating them because I wanted them to fix the paperwork how I wanted it to be done because I'm paying for the service so they should have no problem to do it how the customer wants it to be done. & I got treated like trash because of all of the revenue that I've been bringing to this business & it's not ALL going into their pockets, but rather into the property owners pockets, so that's why the Caucasian manager with blonde hair and blue eyes was able to throw me away like I was Trash & it was really easy for him to throw away business instead of trying to figure out how to meet the needs of me so I could continue to be valued it wasn't going into his pockets since he's hourly and doesn't get paid enough so keeping around a client who brings in Bengals doesn't really matter to him because the funds aren't all going to him I was really hoping that they would really value me as a customer, but they had no value for me because the revenue I was bringing to the business was not all going to them, but rather to the property owners pockets, so it was real easy for them to just throw me away. This place needs to get shut down and I'm gonna call corporate and have professionals go to this place and make it a public spectacle for shame & misfortune!! read more

My dog has allergies. I brought her in specifically to find out what kind of allergies she had, and they EXPRESSED HER ANAL gland. When I asked them about the allergies, they told me, "Sometimes that's why they itch like that." I said, "My dog is on allergy medicine, and I need to know if there's anything else I can do to make her less itchy." The response? "Oh, we didn't know that." They didn't read her chart. They had no idea who she was. And the answer was a simple blood draw to get her allergies after I waited 45 minutes and demanded it. Then I had to keep asking for THREE weeks to get the info back. Which was stupidly important as she's allergic to most dog food. Now she's on a prescription diet which they can't seem to be bothered to authorize it (despite having been sent the request 5 days ago). My dog has to eat. This isn't a surprise, and I'm very tired of the inability to get hold of anyone on the phone, have them understand what my dog needs, or (despite me specifically scheduling for the problem) having her get taken care of properly. I can't handle the stress of dealing with these people, so I'm going to be bringing her somewhere else. We deserve better customer service than this. read more

Update #2: A one star increase so far. I've finally gotten into the portal system, but it took two personal visits to get it working. Now that I am transitioning my pet care from Dr Jackson to Dr Watts (the new owner), things are starting to improve and how I feel about the place is as well. They are answering the phone much better too. That's a BIG one. Dr Watts seems quite knowledgeable and likable. I still think all the price increases are not to my liking, but let's ignore that for the sake of this review. The staff has changed over quite a lot, but honestly, the current people seem sharper, smarter, and more caring about the hygiene of the front area (probably by Dr Watts' order). One thing that did surprise me, given the positive hygiene changes in the front, was that I noticed the exam room table hadn't been wiped between animal patients, as evidenced by the presence of other animal hair on the table (from multiple animals), but not belonging to my animal. Not sure just how much to worry about that yet. It seems out of balance given that the world wants us to love our pets like family members, have pet insurance, have regular checkups and vaccinations, pay exorbitant veterinary prices for human-like veterinary health tests and surgeries but yet, the room hygiene doesn't matter? Could the previous patient have something contagious and unknown at the time? Shouldn't it be like when people go to the doctor and they have to change the paper on the exam table between patients? Another difference I observed was that whenever they have to do something to your animal (i.e...tear stain the eyes), they remove your animal from the exam room and take it behind closed doors, out of your presence and sight, and then return with it when done. I am unsure of the reasoning for this, but Dr Jackson always performed all work in the exam room in my presence. I liked seeing what was happening, helping manage my pet (if needed), and knowing exactly what was done and how. By them taking it away, I am deprived of that information and also, I begin to question the reason for it. I'm reserving judgment for now, but it has me contemplating things. I will continue to go and hope for positive changes. I do like to give people time to make positive change. Crossing my fingers that things will continue to get better. read more

Very upsetting experience. My Mom brought her 12 year old Maltese here for bloodwork and a check up. The staff MIXED UP HER DOG. They put her under anesthesia and cut her open to perform a spay. Upon discovering she was already spayed, they realized they were operating on the wrong dog. They sewed her up, charged my Mom over $500, said oops sorry for the mix up and sent her on her way. Totally appalling behavior. I called them 6 hours ago, left a voicemail and still haven't heard back. My Mom is completely distraught. Her dog is truly her fur baby, a part of the family, and she's just so upset this happened. Do not bring your dog here. read more

I paid my bill completely off and they tried to charge my bank again. When I spoke to the person in charge of that (Elizabeth),I asked why they tried to charge my account again today. She said she wasn't in yesterday and made no charge to my account. I repeated that I said today not yesterday, today a payment was charged to my account and I wanted to know why. I was told my payment had never been made for this month (final Payment due). When I reminded her of our conversation (August 5th) she affirmed that she remembered us talking but says she never ran my card (my account shows the payment). On that day, she had told me she did run it and it was paid. Today she said she never ran my card and it was still due. And that she tried to make it today and it was declined...well it is declined every month because of some issue she has with using the correct information and I get a pop up alert from my bank every time they try. That is why I called on the 5th of August. So, why did they charge my account again today when it was paid off? Again declined due to wrong info and bank alert. She tried to argue with me about it, but I have the bank statements to back it up and I have my documents from when I made the contract for the $500.00+ x-ray for my son's cat. read more

The Vets and staff there are phenomenal!! The best experience we've ever had. Dr. Watts now owns and operates the clinic with associate Vets, even Dr. Jackson is still taking appointments! Dr Watts is truly tremendous- listens and addresses my concerns. It is because of her that one of my babies is getting the help and treatment I've tried to get at several vets in the area. The clinic is easily the most affordable in the area but you don't sacrifice quality for your furbabies. Not so long ago it was difficult reaching the clinic via telephone because they are just THAT busy. However- when Dr. Watts came in she listened to what the community needs- actively improving the place. One of these improvements is a voice recording with options to select based on your pets needs- this has worked amazingly and you can definitely make contact now!! The ladies (typically) like Jenna, Heather, and Anita- tried their best and kept up with the needs of their patients at the front desk/ check in- even though it was hectic. They stayed in good spirits and smiles on their faces. While two of the 3 have recently departed (much to my dismay), Jenna is still there and she is phenomenal- welcoming, accepting, very professional- if only every business had one of her! What I'm getting at is this is the absolute best vet team I've had the pleasure of working with, not only in SV but in all the places I've visited. I wish there was a zero star on here. This Doctor Jackson is a quack. He should have his license revoked and put out of business. My father took his dog here 5 weeks ago. Jackson removed some skin tumors which were possibly cancerous. For five weeks the poor dog has not been himself, the doctor refused to prescribe pain meds and kept prescribing the same anti viral and dog Tylenol. Still no change, just keeps taking money and not helping. We find out today he has full blown cancer. This doctor is unbelievable, our poor dog has been dying for the last five weeks and he couldn't figure it out. I would NEVER GO TO THIS QUACK EVER. I absolute with no hesitation recommend Dr. Jackson, his nurse Tiffany and their staff. They went above and beyond to help me. I am elderly and handicapped ( wheelchair bound) . I am without family here. My beloved G Dawg who I have had since he was 6 weeks old got up Tuesday dragging his rear legs. I was desolate! I thought he had a stroke. I love him without limit. He is my emotional support during these very difficult times we are living through. Dr. Jackson's office helped me to transport him. I am on social security and I live month to month. Came here because of the reviews and the recommendations. I kept seeing in FB about how well they take care of the animals and service. Unfortunately that was not the case for me. I'm very disappointed in my experience today with with them. Arriving, I notice there was dog poop covering the rocks in the front. Their patients files behind the desk looked so disorganized and in disarray it didn't surprise me on what happened next. When I made the appointment I expressed how I needed to make an appointment asap because my dog needed more ear meds (i only had about a 4-5 days worth of meds left) for her ear infection. If they couldn't get me in within the next week, then I would take her to the emergency vet or try another vet near by, which I also made sure to express. I arrived to the appointment for them to tell me they had scheduled me for the following week. There is NO WAY I would have agreed to the appointment knowing it was 2 weeks out, especially knowing how much meds I had left. The receptionist was rude and didn't even offer any kind of solution or empathy. Worst experience ever and will never be stepping foot in there again. I'd rather drive all the way to Tucson or Phx than to deal with this crappy establishment. read more

I set appointment on 20 April for an 9 May at 0800. When I arrived, they could not find confirmation, the dog's paperwork, or anything else. After waiting an hour, they finally came to get my dog & advised they'd call when she was ready. I called back at 1115, no answer & left a message. At 1230, I went to check again in person...everyone had gone to lunch and front desk thought they might get to her by 230pm. 1. Dr Jackson and his staff are very irresponsible and neglectful. We moved here with our Peekapoo who was needing his last series of shots and they neglected to give him his 3rd Parvo. Patch died a little over a week ago from Parvo. 2. When we moved here with Patch, we decided to get a Standard Poodle pup. We set up a date and time to bring our Patch and Peaches in to be boarded and while there, they were to give Peaches her Rabies. She was to young at the time we left them, she was the perfect age for her first shot. They NEGLECTED to give it to her and when we went to pick them up, the gal made the comment that she had not had her shot and they should have never taken our pets to board in the first place! Whew, really nasty remarks like that when it was their responsibility to see to it that she got her shot! This was arranged 1 month prior to leaving them and thankful they have one nurse there who is honest and spoke up admitting it was their negligence! 3. We tried to call the clinic and everytime we would call we get an answering machine that says they are to busy, leave a message. I told my husband, don't hang up, let's drive down there and see what they are doing. We walked in the door and there are 4 of them visiting, laughing while the phoneines are lit up! We absolutely showed them our phone. Do not be deceived, we lost our Precious Patch because of their negligence! I have all his records and they were to see to it that he got all his last series of shots! Never trust anyone with the life of your furry baby, especially these people! 4. While Dr. Jackson and most of the staff seem loving and caring that doesn't actually do much for the animals health. Brought my dog in several times trying to deal with the same stomach issue - and was consistently told to continue the same treatment that wasn't working. We went to a new vet (more on that shortly) and solved the problem almost immediately, along with discovering two other glaring issues that needed to be addressed, missed by this office. To clarify: the issues were so clear to the new vet I didn't even bring up the symptoms Jackson's office had blown off- she saw them and pointed them out to me. The REASON we went to another vet: my dog threw up one morning, I was concerned and called Dr Jackson's office; I was told that, the office was too busy to see my pet but that it sounded like he has parvo and I need to get him seen by someone in the area ASAP. RIDICULOUS. This would be like me calling my personal doctor with a headache and being told it sounds like I have a brain tumor. Especially considering had this person taken the three seconds to ask which dog this was - they'd have realized he has chronic stomach issues. Stressed and furious we went to a new vet in town and will not be coming back. read more

After dealing with three (now) corporate vets, the Sierra Vista Pets Facebook page & friends recommended Dr. Jackson. I literally blew thousands of dollars to end up with the ashes of two cats & a third suffering through years of allergies, even while on expensive "custom" allergy meds & living miserbly in a collar. Dr. Jackson cost $35 the first visit & solved the issue with one inexpensive shot. My cat doesn't have a cone & his fur is growing back. Recently the same cat refused to eat despite a usually ravenous appetite. Dr. Jackson & his team saw Gizmo the same day I called, took x-rays & ran tests quickly, unlike the corporate vets who dragged results out, leading to the deaths of two cats. Within an hour they explained the possibility of a blockage & scheduled surgery the next morning. The next day a biopsy & labs were sent to rule out cancer & definitively determine pancreatitis. During this recent visits & others, the entire staff has been very responsive, calling me back with any question, often with Dr. Jackson talking to me directly. They have been flexible with my schedule too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

He explains everything in ways I can understand, and is willing to help in every situation. He's an old school veterinarian, and does things the right way. Heard wonderful things about Dr Jackson from several different people, so I decided this is where I would take my new puppies. Scheduled those appts. In the mean time, my seven year old cat developed some serious problems. I called Dr. Jackson's office to get an appt. Got the answering service. Left a message. No call back. After several more attempts that day, was able to speak to someone who said they were booked for the day, and to call back at 7 am the next morning and they would be able to get me in. Next day I call at 7:05 and get the answering machine. Left message, no call back. Several more attempts and I reach someone about 9. She tells me they are booked. I explain whats going on, and she takes my name and # and says she will talk to Dr Jackson to see if they could squeeze me in and would call me back. It is now 4 PM, no call back. His office is closed tomorrow (Thursdays). So their poor customer service caused my cat to suffer more then he needed to. I have at appt with a different vet, and have made appts for my puppies someplace else. I get that Dr Jackson is a great vet, and his prices are lower, but the customer service is horrible. If your pet needs immediate attention, don't waste your time trying to get an appt here. My animals are my world and I feel like a horrible pet owner for waiting for them to get back to me when I could have gotten him treated already. read more
