Our son just graduated and now is in TK, but this was probably the best preschool experience we…read morecould have signed up for! Prior to signing up Miss Tina and Miss Shirley greeted us and out little guy with open arms. Immediately we felt very comfortable with the people and the place. I could only describe it as a "mama's house" feeling. As the year progressed we noticed that the care providers we very active in the kids' care but did not hover. They allowed the kids to manage minor conflicts and then taught them discipline and courtesy so the conflicts wouldn't happen again. Miss Shirley was also well versed in the Benicia K and TK system so she went to workshops all the time to stay updated. She wanted to make sure the kids were prepared for their elementary school endeavors. And for the families they were even more welcoming, holding family events throughout the year to keep everyone involved. I have an older child who went to preschool elsewhere and families tended to keep to themselves at events with minor interaction and participation. At Tender Hearts, families participated in pot lucks and willingly made donations to help enhance the kids' experience. Their pre-care and after-care was just another huge bonus for working families! And now that my son is in TK, I saw that him and other Tender Hearts students were amongst the most cooperative and behaved kids the first days. I am very confident that the values he learned at Tender Hearts will continue to guide him through elementary school, which he is well prepared for!

Mrs. Tina and Chester are more than teachers to our kids, they are family. They taught my youngest how to be a leader and an extraordinary helper! He was so shy when he started and now he is so caring and outgoing, not to mention they also potty trained him. My older son excelled so much when they were preparing him for TK. I can't wait to send my daughter here. I can't say enough good things about them. Every teacher there is so awesome, and you can tell they really love the kids.

He has become more open, social, and active, and I've noticed a big improvement in his manners and his ability to understand and follow boundaries. Every single staff member has been amazing. They are thoughtful, patient, and genuinely caring, and they always made sure he felt comfortable and included in whatever they were doing. You can tell that they truly care about the children and want them to have a positive experience. Ms. Fary deserves a special mention because she has been absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly accommodating to both my son and me through a difficult period, and her understanding and kindness meant a lot to us. I've been so happy watching my son grow through this program. Brickspace has been more than just LEGO and STEM activities--it has given him an opportunity to build confidence, learn how to interact with others, and have fun in a supportive environment. I'm very thankful to the entire Brickspace team for everything they've done. We've had such a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend Brickspace to other families!

The 2-3hr party ended well with the goodie bags we prepared! Will def be back for our son's birthday another time. Thank you for such a sweet time, Brickspace!

If I could give ten stars, I would. We are so greatful to all staff members at Benicia KinderCare…read more Mrs. Erica (site director) has assembled an AMAZING group of loving, caring, and nurturing teachers and staff while providing a safe & stimulating environment for our little one and all kids. The site is so colorful, often the walls are covered with the childrens art work and you're always greeted warm welcomes and smiles. As first time parents and not having any family close by we were nervous about putting our son in daycare at 3 months old. We toured other daycares in area but none came close to what Benicia KinderCare had to offer. Mrs. Erica and the infant room teachers made the transition easy. They would send daily updates and pictures through their app, easing my nerves about putting him in daycare at such an early age. But thank God we did, because when my son turned 8 months I was diagnose with stage 2 appendiceal & colorectal cancer. During my recovery the teacher helped provide some extra love & care to our son, and those daily updates and pictures became my lifeline to him while I went through my surgeries, long stays in the hospital & treatment. My son is now 2 years old and is in the Preschool class. Weekly we are surprised by something that he has learned, how he is developing motor skills and language or how social he has become by making so many friends. Our son is constantly happy and excited to go to daycare every morning, which speaks volume to how the staff treat him and all the children. Would highly recommend Benicia KinderCare to any family in need of daycare services.

We've had our son there for the last three years, but in the last year, it's gone downhill. Every week for the last three months, we've kept seeing fewer and fewer students, and we're trying to hold out for when he starts at a new school. However, it has become a breaking point and a safety concern for our son. My recommendation is not to put your kid here, as they don't have their operations in order to handle kids at this time. It's too bad, as it was once a good place. To add, teachers are unhappy and getting their hours cut, and continue to complain that there is just not enough staff to support kids.

This review is for Miss Cassie's location…read more My son has been attending here for the past two years, and our experience has been wonderful! The level of care, love, and knowledge Miss Cassie and her staff have shared with our little guy is more than I could have asked for. Cassie has a special way of making each child feel valued and understood. She is patient, nurturing, and has a unique ability to connect with the kids. She treats all the children equally and with so much care, making it feel like a second home for them. My son has learned so much here. My family is always impressed with how much our little guy knows--he can name the planets and even distinguish the differences between them! He's learned how to write and spell his name, identify continents and landmarks around the world, and, most importantly, Miss Cassie has helped him manage big feelings, which has been a challenge for us. Although my son is starting pre-k, we've decided to keep him here one day a week because of how much he enjoys it. If I had another baby, I'd definitely bring them here. Thanks to everything he's learned, he's more than prepared for the next step. I can't thank Miss Cassie and her staff enough for being such a positive and supportive light in my son's life!

Baby MacBean was AMAZING! You won't find a better daycare. They implemented a curriculum--even at…read morethe infant level--that included sensory activities, art, reading, and science. My son was actively engaged every day with painting, dancing, growing plants, cooking lessons, and story time. By 18 months, my son knew four colors, spoke in 3-4 word meaningful sentences, asked questions, had a vocabulary of well over 100 words, could name a dozen animals and their sounds, played pretend, and could identify a word on each page of his favorite books. He cleaned up his toys when asked, apologized when he hurt someone, said please and thank you, and even cleared his own dishes and wiped his spot at the table after dinner. That kind of independence and empathy at such a young age was extraordinary--and entirely due to the care and structure Miss Cassie provided. By age 4, my son was reading, writing his name, cutting complex shapes, counting to 100, and could name all the planets in the solar system along with their characteristics, among many other advanced skills. If you want your child to gain lifelong social-emotional skills and enter kindergarten well above grade level, this is the place. The waitlist can be long, but Miss Claudia does her best to accommodate working parents.

Thanks to all the great reviews here on Yelp and also a referral from one of my very good friends we decided to go with Mustard Seed as a place for my daughter to grow. She was 4 years old when she started and was very, very shy and was nervous. But it did not take her long to warm up and get comfortable with her super sweet classmates and the wonderful staff. The following year she continued onto TK and flourished into this bright intelligent little girl. The teachers at Mustard Seed did such an amazing job teaching the all the students and preparing them for Kindergarten. My daughter is currently in 2nd grade and is reading at the 6th grade level and I can't imagine her advancing to this level of education if it weren't for Mustard Seed. Fast forward - I needed child care for my youngest son as I prepared to go back to work and so thankful they have a toddler program I was able to enroll my son in at 18 months old. They love and care for all the children like it were their own and this gives us parents a peace of mind. He is now 3 1/2 years old and graduated to the preschool room where he absolutely loves to learn and play with his classmates that he calls, his best friends.

My Son was in kindergarten but now he is moving on to first grade and my daughter will continue to come here she was in preschool but now she will be starting TK. The teachers and staff at mustard seed really love what they do! They are all about the children's safety and well being. Not only that they make learning fun and exciting! My kids always looked forward to going to school each day. This place is very family oriented and they treat our children as if they were their own. Nothing but love and compassion from mustard seed! I'm kinda sad that it had to end so abruptly but I'm hoping and praying this fall we can have a better year for 20/21 school year! I sure do give teachers a whole new level of respect, their jobs are not easy! All teachers need to have more recognition for the work that they do!
