Bought the chicken and dressing from Kroger in Montgomery, Texas. I baked it, as opposed to using the microwave (which is also an option in the cooking instructions). This stuff should be labeled "salty watery polenta with chicken cubes". It was horrible! It was also pricey so I definitely will not be wasting money to try any of the other products. read more

She had a good selection of items on her main menus, and worked with me to come up with some specific options to meet needs for guests that had significant dietary restrictions. I really appreciate the time she took in meeting with me to craft all these meals and events for the whole weekend. The staff members were quick, organized, and extremely polite. The appetizers and s'mores exceeded my expectations. Also, the staff did a great job of setting up and breaking down. And the buffet and bar looked pretty, even though we chose the cheaper of the options. That being said, the reason i can't give her more stars is because of how unprofessional she was. At multiple points in the wedding planning process, she would not respond to emails for weeks at a time when I was really stressed trying to get the food and alcohol figured out and the contract signed. When she would finally return the email, she wouldn't be apologetic or friendly, but rather rude honestly. It was a little strange. We kinda got the vibe that this was because my wedding was on the cheaper side, so she may not have wanted to spend as much time dealing with my wedding. I got lucky and had a lot of really friendly and responsive vendors so this curt behavior may be more normal with vendors than I realized but it bothered us a lot since it was the only vendor that treated us this way. It put a big damper on the otherwise smooth wedding planning process. However, if the vendor being unfriendly and unprofessional doesn't matter to you, then i would recommend her because her food was SO good!

What a fantastic event space! I've passed by it many times and admired the updated facade. It…read morereally improved the appearance of Main Street, and I love seeing people take pride in their small towns. When hosting a birthday party, this was exactly the kind of place I had in mind for it. It will easily hold 100 people, but with a crowed of 25, it won't feel too big. The price was on par with the price of other venues in the area, and much less expensive than the ones down the road in DeSoto County and Oxford. The Venue provides tables and chairs and a few other things like pedestals. They have a small kitchen with a tiny sink, a warming oven and microwave, and a full size refrigerator. There's also a small bathroom off the kitchen/storage area. The floors are trendy vinyl plank and the walls are creamy white. The decor really fits any event you'd want to host. If you're hosting an event - be it a birthday party, shower, reunion, or even a small wedding reception - definitely go check out The Venue! It's quite perfect for any occasion!
