There is not better local Mexican spot than this one! Just make sure you have cash with you, as they are cash only! Their tacos and burritos are delicious. The drinks are great too! It's been a while since I have been to No Problemo and as the old adage goes, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." Dynamite spot in the heart of downtown New Bedford with some delicious Mexican food at a really reasonable price. I'd describe it more as "hippy Mexican food" but the food is good each and every time I have been there. The dining room side has a small bar and is seat yourself. No Problemo is cash only but there is an ATM right in the restaurant in case you didn't bring cash with you. We started off with chips, guacamole and salsa for the table. Their salsa and guacamole are fresh as can be; only complaint about the whole night was the chips were close to the end of a bag so were sort of crumbled and we could have used an few more chips to scoop the salsa and guacamole. I went for the California burrito bowl with pork (carnitas) and swapped the black beans for refried beans. Rice, cheese, sour cream, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes all made the bowl a real meal and the carnitas was so much better than you could find at a chain Mexican spot, that's for sure. Others had a salad and a burrito and everyone was more than happy with their food. Shoutout to the restaurant for having a couple non-alcoholic beer options available for those who don't drink! I actually really like No Problemo. I can see why it is super popular in the area. Cash-only, ATM right in front. The chips and guac was delicious and a good amount to share between a few people. Margarita flights were also good. I tried the blood orange, watermelon, and peach. You can make any burrito into a bowl, so I tried the Super Burrito and added guac to it. Very generous portions! I have been going to No Probs for years, and have never had a bad meal or experience here. It's a cash-only establishment with meter parking in its surrounding downtown location. My go to order is a buff-a-que burrito with chips, salsa and guac! The salsa is chunky, more along the lines of Pico. It's filled with fresh tomato's, red onion, and jalapeños! The guac is incredible as well, you will just have to try it for yourself- there are no words to describe it! The burritos are massive for their price point and I can only ever eat about half of one! The buff-a-que is a mashup of barbecue and buffalo chicken with beans, rice, lettuce and blue cheese. Most of their menu items they are happy to customize the protein and contents of as well! The service is great here, but it has a pretty small seating area, so on busier days you can expect a wait, or you can order at the counter and sit in a "self service" section of the restaurant. At that counter you can also order No-Problemo brand hot sauces, and more! The best one is the Serrano Lime! Choose this place over a chain like qdoba, or chipotle any day! read more

Our last trip put a horrible taste in my mouth bc of the service. I was with my kids, one who is special needs so I requested a table with the bench bc it's easier if I can sit directly next to him. All of the tables with benches were available except for one which was occupied with a couple. So at least three or four empty tables with a bench? It's already difficult going out to eat as is and this tiny accommodation helps tremendously so we can have a slice of normalcy. The bartender was rude and said no, he had to fill the tables in the middle first? It was very slow the entire time we were there, I'm not sure why that would matter I then tried explaining how my child was special needs and why this accommodation was important and he spoke over me - not letting me finish, basically just saying no again. To whomever that male bartender was, do better, be kinder. I've served for years and would never make up a silly rule to "fill the middle table first" for zero reason. It was extra ridiculous because after denying my request others came in and they were seated at a table with a bench. They didn't have a special needs kid with them. Not sure about the sit down but on the counter side it was cash only. They do have an ATM but my card wasn't working so I was kinda limited in what I could get. I got the chicken tacos and chicken taquitos and it looked like canned chicken. I'm pretty sure the chicken wasn't even seasoned, just washed and thrown on the grill. Super slow to be seated and served. Seating took just under 10 minutes (too long for lunch). I don't mind waiting if we are greeted but we were not greeted by anyone until about 8 minutes after we walked in the door. The food was fine but the service was so slow and inattentive. I had to go to the bar to pay the bill so we could leave as we were just tired of sitting at the table for so long waiting fro everything. The food, once we ordered, took about 45 minutes. This is way too long for lunch time tacos and burritos. The bartender was pleasant but i am not sure if they were understaffed or what was happening.
