Bought a beach tent here on 05/17 and went straight to the beach to use it. When we opened it and…read moretried to set it up, we discovered it had broken wires and was clearly defective out of the package. We returned to the store about 3 hours later the same day to explain the issue and request an exchange. We were told they would not help because we brought it back "3 hours later," even though it was never usable and was defective from the start. The timing was only because we had already paid for beach parking and secured our spot, so we tried to set it up right away instead of immediately leaving and losing the parking and setup area. As soon as we realized it was defective, we came back. This wasn't buyer's remorse or normal use... the item was unusable from the moment it was opened. Very disappointing experience and no resolution offered for a defective product.

There are seas and seas of t shirts, shorts and sweatshirts. It's hard to find the kids items but if you need help the employees will point you in the right direction. You can try on items. If you find anything without a decal they can iron one on for you. We got the kids some sweatshirts. I looked but all the sizes seemed small to me and the items I wanted weren't available in my size. Ugh. And it doesn't get better than that, unfortunately. Some of the Wings Beachwear shops I have…read morevisited in the past (here in NC as well as FL) are great stores; well organized with friendly employees, offering good sales and extensive sizing. This shop offers none of that. The store is a complete wreck and very unorganized. There were large clumps of dust on the floor and even on a hoodie that I unfolded! Gross! The employees walk past you with their heads down, looking miserable and are not helpful at all. I felt very awkward after asking a young lady for help. Both of my kids couldn't find anything in a kids size L (10-12) and in women's, I could only find smalls & mediums in tees, cotton shorts and hoodies. No beach bags either. Lots of baby stuff though. Their tumblers and water bottles were all very pretty; that's the only thing they have going for them. What a disappointment. There are a lot of Wings Beachwear stores along the NC coast; most definitely skip this one!

Compared to Amazon the warmies here were $6 cheaper per Warmie. Happy and surprised, we saved almost $50 from buying them from here. Of all places. Then there's the upstairs apparel section of the store. I found nice hats, gloves, home / boat decor, and a beautiful heavy duty thermal my man loved. It's not pictured due to him wearing it immediately upon seeing it. Now it's in the laundry. This place has excellent gift items, necessities, and prices that are super reasonable. I was surprised they had things on sale also. Great place. Great gifts. I'm sure a gift card could benefit the whole family.
