They're all over trying to grab a morsel from the trash. Decent prices. If you're a Recology garbage pick up customer, you get two free dumps per quarter, I believe. I took lots of trips here this summer dumping loads of sod from a yard project.

A great perk of being an Astoria customer is they send you a window sticker that lets you go in and drop off consumer volumes of yard debris at this collection facility. We've dropped off dead appliances here as well for a fee. I've noted there is a standalone hazardous waste building as well, not sure of its time/availability. Terriific service with a wave and a smile here. Believe it or not, their website does not provide the address nor a map of where this is! I'd say their IT dept needs some help.

The unbelievably courteous loader driver told us how to position the truck, and he gently plopped my 1/2 yard of bark. We were disappointed that the 'medium bark' was extremely fine, almost dirt like. Just our luck I think. their website say you can fill a 5-gal bucket with material for $5. Might try that.
