Virgin pina colada and smoked fish dip
    Tarrah P.

Such a cute little spot to take a break from a fun filled day. My dad & I parked inside Bill Baggs for a day activity and stopped at No Name Harbor along our walk for a quick snack and refreshment. Boaters Grill (the restaurant) looked great but since we we just wanted a quick bite, we opted to order from the food truck/stand that was beside the restaurant. There was no wait for the stand and our drinks were made right away and the smoked fish dip came out in less than 10 minutes. Both were SO GOOD! I highly recommend a stop at No Name Harbor for anyone spending the day in key Biscayne and want either a quick bite or a sit down meal with the view of the harbor.

Watching the sunset was worth the drive and the overpriced drinks. P.S. We also got to see dolphins playing while enjoying our beers.

Ok, so the two stars are for the bar at No Name Harbor, not Boater's Grill which is before getting to this bar. And not the actual harbor as it is a beautiful place to come watch a sunset or rise and dock your boat. Let's talk about what has the potential to be the cutest bar in Miami. It is at the tip of Key Biscayne. You get amazing views of the ocean, the city, and it's set on sand so it feels like you're at a cute little beach bar. They have a full bar, and are a bit pricey but given the location was not even too upset at that. We paid $9 for La Rubia (local Miami beer). They will wait on you and they will not, you can decide or decipher this on your own. They do have a small menu of expensive snacks...so come either with your own food or full and just ready to drink. We ordered the chips and guacamole for $9 and the shrimp cocktail for $15, again not uncommon prices for Miami, but we literally got 3 shrimp/person and a whopping 6 total. So overall, would I recommend yes, but really only for the views.

Various options for milanesas, different types of meats and topping available. The breading was tasty and crunchy and the toppings were a nice pairing! In a word everything. The decor is not awful itself, but feels a little industrial, with televisions plunked over the walls. But the service and the food just take it to a different level of bad. Our waitress hadn't the faintest clue to what she was doing. She asked how well done we wanted our carpaccio. She so clearly didn't know what she was doing, I had her recite our orders back to me. How could she mess that up? Good question. How about serving all of the food at one time, appetizers and main course? We had carpaccio, supposedly Argentine beef; a pancho; a filet mignon; and Milanezza Martin. Starting with the semi edible, the fillet was not good, the presentation was awful, stock dry on its own on a black plate, with mashed potatoes in a separate ramekin on the side, and the sad chimichurri sauce also in a separate ramekin, but you could swallow it. Everything else was a disgrace. The milanezza was junk they got out of the fridge and microwave before they planted it on the table. My daughter found it literally non-edible, and she is the kindest of diners. She said it tasted like the fridge... A kind way of putting it The pancho was a profoundly bland hot dog in a stale bun. But the "carpaccio" took pride of place. Simultaneously part-frozen and decaying beef, of which my daughter took a bite, and then was stuck finding a polite way to spit it into a napkin. North of inedible. All of this terrible food was put onto our table at one time, about three minutes after we ordered it, because obviously it had just been defrosted in the microwave. And to add insult to injury, the waitress came by, with a toothy, TGIF smile, and said how are we doing? Bloody awful is the only answer. In a move that clearly reflects where the restaurant is at, I noticed they put 19% automatically on the bill for "service". Then they had the cojones to ask for more of a tip when you sign electronically on the tableside device. I looked at the waitress incredulously with raised eyebrows, and that was that. Never again.

She brought ponchos so we could continue on as it rained. It was beautiful to learn about and see this neighborhood through the eyes of someone who grew up here. Toni knows so much history and seemed to know so many of the people, too! The tour has so much food - I was honestly more than full at the end and I didn't even finish all of my portions. I think it was a really good range of drinks, desserts, and food. Even though that coffee cup looks small, that's a full serving size and it was strong! I really really appreciate that this tour not only accommodated for vegetarians but also chose options for me that were realllllly good. Instead of the cubano, I had these fried plantain cups stuffed with veggies. They were SO good and seasoned well! And the spinach and cheese empanada was also amazing. My friend who got the meat options also loved her food. This tour is the perfect way to learn more about Cuban history, the history of the neighborhood, see all the street art, watch a game at domino park, and experience some of the best food in Miami. I cannot recommend this enough!!!

The time went by so quickly and it wouldn't have been the same experience without Mariela as our guide. She is so passionate and knowledgeable. Her energy was so upbeat. I think this a great tour for visitors who want to learn about a culture that shapes Miami as well as locals who want to learn about a neighborhood they may not know the ins and outs of. Mariels brought Cuba to us and we can't thank her enough! We highly recommend this tour!

Just today we took the tour and were amazed. My husband and I had a wonderful time! Everything about THIS food tour was 5 stars. Steve was our guide and he is such a nice person, we felt really comfortable asking questions and speaking with him. Also, he is very knowledgeable about Miami and its history. But more than that, he made the tour very personal. The four places we ate at were great. By the end of the tour I was quite satisfied with the range of foods we had tried. I'm also glad that now I have some new places to go to on South Beach that I never would have tried before. I am sworn to secrecy on which places you'll visit, as each tour should be a fun surprise, just as Steve intends it to be. Believe me, you will have an amazing time. I would definitely recommend this tour to others and I myself will definitely go back for more! This tour would be perfect for a date, group of friends, or just for those foodies who want to try new places!
