I went with No Bogus because most of the Treasure Valley HVac businesses have sold out to large corporations. I wanted to work with a true local company. I'm glad I did. I had electric baseboard heating, which I hadn't used much in years, and a wood stove. I'm retired now and my significant other passed away a few years ago. Keeping the house warm was becoming more of a chore for me so I wanted to look into mini split systems. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No Bogus came out when I called and gave me a decent estimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But truly, I went with him because he us a local, independent contractor. He and his electrician got in and out in a day. Excellent workmanship and job well done. Now, I am comfortable and not dependent on my wood stove to keep from freezing. My husband found him online and decided to give him a call based on all the great reviews. Our AC fan motor seized, and he came out on his way home from another call. Super-happy to hear that since we were dealing with really hot weather. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He determined the issue and said he could fix it the next morning with the new part he needed. He was out the next morning, and we appreciated the text message saying he was on his way[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. He cleaned up our unit (dang Cottonwood!), replaced the fan, and recharged the coolant after running diagnostics to show the range and temperatures the unit was currently at, then again once the coolant was topped off. Turned on the unit and we noticed the drop in temperature right away! After owning this house for 24 years, being told by another HVAC company many years ago that the houses in my neighborhood were just built wrong, and this was the best we could expect (coolest upstairs temp being an average of 84 degrees on summer days), we were in shock when cold and forceful air came out of the ducts for the 1st time EVER! WE NEVER KNEW IT COULD BE LIKE THIS!!!!! Before he left, I walked into the bathroom and was actually SHIVERING while in there!!! PINCH ME! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Richard is super-chill, very responsive, and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] His pricing seemed very fair as well. So, we replaced our AC and Heater at the same time. Their initial offering was at the budget model from Goodman but I didn't want a system that would only last 10 years. I wanted something that woud pair with my replaced Trane system and last over 25+ years. They recommended Amana as their high end and it has a lifetime warranty. However, I was not told I needed to register these units within 60 days to keep that extended warranty. So luckily, I read the fine print and completed that. Its almost been two months and the systems are working well! I highly recommend this team for any installations and repairs.

No Bogus might be the best contractor/service company in Treasure Valley, in any category. I called at 930pm with an emergency situation and Richard was at my place and in the attic within an hour. He diagnosed our situation very thoroughly and very clearly, explained our options and let me make a decision without pressure. Once we opted to have equipment replaced, he got right on ordering and scheduled our install and followup, and he and Josh (his co-owner) came out ON TIME every appointment to get the work done. If you've had any service work done you know how big of a deal it is to not have a 4 hour window but an actual arrival time, and for them to come when they say they will. Throughout the process communication was very clear, they each invited me to view their progress and explain what they were doing each step of the way. At the end of the day, there is nobody else I would ever trust with my HVAC needs. True professionals. Exceptionally knowledgeable. Polite and friendly. I never felt like we were a burden, and they even tried (unsuccessfully) to befriend our high anxiety dog. I cannot recommend these guys enough. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. He assisted me in restoring my vintage (1980s) furnace and was transparent about its condition. I was presented with all available options and received a fair quote for repairs or potential replacement of equipment, should I choose to proceed. Richard was punctual, able to accommodate a short-notice appointment despite a busy schedule, and his diagnostic fee was notably lower than that of other providers.
