I would not recommend paying extra for a longer pedicure. I tried the Purple Passion pedicure. It was advertised to take 32-35 minutes and she was finished in 25. No one offered for me to pick out a color (I thought they might have a book like other places) so when I told her what I wanted she brought over 2 choices and I had to select one. I was treated to a free pedicure here by a friend & was excited to try the place as it was to be my first ever nail treatment in CO! I obviously haven't found my go-to place so I was glad to give this one a shot even if it is a bit of a drive from where I live. I got turqoise regular OPI polish & was impressed by how flawless it looked for how fast it all was. The place is really pretty & clean. The only reason I didn't love it is because the employees felt a bit flustered and/or rushed. We were a big group so it's understandable. And then I moved over 17 miles away. I tried to find a salon that was closer to my new home but to no avail. This is by far the best salon in Denver. And I have even driven all the way to Castle Rock when my technician, Yen, was not available. I have gone to very very expensive shops, and they cannot compare to #5 Boutique. This salon is always very clean, all the gals and technicians are very kind and professional. Even though I moved three years ago and it is a 45 minute drive one way to this salon, I keep coming back. No matter where I go, people stop me all the time and ask me about my nails. You won't find a better nail salon then No. 5 - they are the best. Their standards are high and they are never slow. Make sure you call ahead and be glad when they turn you away. They never lie and you never have to sit there while they automatically say "10 min" like most nail places. They can get you in within a day usually. The inside is beautiful. They have a keurig and small water bottles. They have magazines and TVs. Services offered include waxing, mani, pedi, acrylic, shellac and regular polish. They are pretty clean and use plastic protection bags on the foot baths. I like the summer breeze pedi or the chocolate one when I am feeling indulgent. From what I gather the name refers to the 5 sisters in the family. I think they also have 2 brothers. I also notice they don't talk to each other the whole time, they talk to their customers. Just a gem of a place. It's located across the street from Arapahoe High School on University and Dry Creek next to Starubucks and Einsteins bagels. If you give them your phone number you get $30 off a pedi every 10 visits- like a punch card. read more

This place has gone downhill. We've been regulars since it opened and have LOVED it. We made an appointment and were told to come at 5:00...I understand that's close to closing time, but it was the slot we were given well in advance...so it's no excuse. The ladies working were rude to each other and snapping at each other the whole time...it was uncomfortable and awkward. There was a miscommunication about shellac between two of the staff, which resulted in me getting a horribly rushed shellac manicure on my lap while sitting in the massage chair for my pedicure. They didn't apply any lotion, cut my cuticles...simply paint and rough filing. They pulled out a bag of water instead of a dish to soak my nails in and spilled the water all over my lap. No towel was offered...ugh, it was just horrible! They knew I was coming in for a shellac mani and pedi...the poor planning and communication was entirely their fault. To make matters worse, they unplugged the massage chair (maybe because it was closing at 6??) but turned it on to scoot my chair forward, so clearly it was working? I paid for the lavender pedicure as always. They didn't add any of the extras that go with that...yet charged me for it! I also didn't get any of the callous removal, etc. With a broom, they swept over my freshly painted foot while paying....it was an obnoxious effort to get us out of there so they could close. Right after I paid, the ladies left to the back room and It was clear that I was expected to leave. I ended up drying my in my car with the heater on...NEVER AGAIN! Even worse, it was my birthday pedicure. My group of girls that go here will not be back... So much money to pay for such rude behavior. As much as I tried to be understanding, it's unacceptable and my loyalty has been lost. Looking forward to trying the newer nail salons that are popping up in this area. read more

At first I was really excited to find a nail salon by my house with such good reviews. I had a crack in one of my nails and they were able to fix it without having to sacrifice the length of my natural nails. I got a dip manicure and was incredibly pleased with it when I left, I thought I had found a go to spot. Two days later, two of my nails had already chipped which I have never experienced at another salon. I typically try to go about 3 weeks between dip manicures and have no issues but now 2 weeks later, 5 of my nails have chipped or broken and I have had to cut three nails so my nails are incredibly uneven.
