A friend and I were staying nearby while vacationing in Biarritz in August 2020. Over the course of our 2-week visit, this cute café was 1 of our 2 top breakfast spots and we wound up stopping by multiple times.
Although it was high season when we were in Biarritz, with lots of Parisians and other tourists on annual summer vacation, it was never too busy when we came in the morning. I suspect that, since we always arrived shortly after opening time at 9 AM, it was still early enough that the other vacationers were still in bed. The café looks small, but there's an upper level with more seating, which is very cozy, cute, and comfortable. There's also free wifi.
The breakfast choices were delicious and a reasonable price. In general, I found Biarritz to be about as expensive as Paris, but at this café the amount and quality of food we got for under 15€ was definitely better than what I'd seen in Paris and other places in Biarritz. The granola and pancakes were excellent, and were both served with a heap of varied fruits, including red fruits and bananas. They definitely didn't skimp on the fruit! If forced to choose, the granola was my favorite, although the pancakes are a great choice if you're feeling indulgent.
In addition to coffee, lattes, and teas, they also served cake and banana bread and other pastries. The service was friendly and efficient, and the café was centrally located, close to bus stops and tourist sites. Definitely recommend stopping by if you want a hearty breakfast in a cozy atmosphere! read more
