I had a very bad experience at the Bloomfield location. After doing a number of tests that did not point to anything that needs treatment, they kept adding more tests, including a genetics test with a very high cost. Called for a follow up to review results of the genetics test, but took me through a number of scans and test again, for no good reason, just because it is their common practice. Please be very careful with any tests, procedures and visits being recommended and check for usefulness, price etc. before accepting. I typically trust doctors with all this as being specialists, but this place misused that trust and left me with thousands in unnecessary bills. read more

Office staff is horrible! They literally called me 10 minutes before my appointment to advise the office was closing early and they could not see a new patient. Despite having received confirmation emails and text message reminding me of my appointment only 1 hour prior to the time! I rearranged my entire morning to go to this appointment! Awful and terrible experience! BE CAREFUL when booking ONLINE, apparently, they DO NOT LOOK at the schedule until the LAST MINUTE! read more

My experience with the office administration and doctors was awful. I had my second IOL. The first one slipped out of place 17 months later by this doctor. Blood work and covid test paperwork was written wrong. One of the eye drops prescribed I could not get. Was told not to worry about. Entire process was disorganized. Should have cancelled this!! All the warning signs were there. Surgery was awful. Had a recent surgery in my shoulder but even knowing this did not put me out but rather have me lay still for an hour or more. I was in agony which I communicated and was told to hold on, it's almost done. When my patch was removed the following day I was seeing doubles, everything was yellow, I was dizzy and nauseous. And absolutely terrified and cried. The doctor after the surgery told me this happens sometimes from the anesthesia. Would not tell me anything else. Asked if it could be permanent. That she answered "yes". All my other questions were not addressed. Went home terrified. Could not walk without help. None of this side affects were ever communicated to me prior to surgery. Rather told me it would be "the same as my last". IT WASN'T. A week later went back. Saw a 3rd doctor. All my issues were still there. This doctor did not answer any of my questions but her response was "I know this is weighing heavy on your heart". Told me to come back a month later. I was horrified I would have to live like this another month. My double vision went away after 11 days, yellow color after 5, but I'm still getting severe headaches, floaters, dizziness and blurriness. My glasses make it worst. My doctor did not address anything. All he said was "that's alot of issues" like I was making them up or blaming my eye surgery which it is a direct result of. I will be seeing someone else to see if this all can be rectified. Will never go back. Saw 4 different doctors and none of them did anything to help me. It was a scary, terrible experience and I wish I followed my gut and did not do this!!! Sight is worst now than before. read more

Dr Ho is amazing, but the office staff is horrible. The amount of duplicate work and misinformation is astonishing. Don't trust anything the staff tells you until they are looking you in the eye or have it in writing because the story will change depending on whom you're speaking to. If it wasn't for Dr. Ho I'd give them 1 star. I wish Dr. Ho was somewhere else. read more

Dr Keyserman treated me for an emergency eye problem. In my opinion she is a first class Doctor of the highest caliber. If you have an eye problem or if you want a second opinion about one, she is a wonderful resource. Her staff is respectful, friendly, helpful, and professional. My special appreciation goes out to Michelle, the professional who makes sure your insurance company fulfills its obligation--obviously a challenging job--Michelle is a Treasure. The other office staff are unusually attentive. When I was with Dr Keyserman I had the sense I was with a woman at the very top of her profession, and since I only have two eyes--and none to spare--this is the kind of Doctor I deserve, and we all deserve. read more

"this place has bad juju" nurse at NJ Retina Waiting for my wife to get done with her appointment. I'm at the Princeton area location. The nurses and reception have long lost the art of professionalism. "I can't wait to see my boo tonight. I haven't seen him in 3 weeks so you know what we will get into." I wasn't interested in hearing about her sex life but thank you for that. The conversations like this go on. And on. Nurses gossiping on their phone. Hey who am I to judge but the wait here is always hours. They aren't in any hurry. One nurse whispers to another "this place has bad juju." She's not wrong. read more

While the doctors are fine the administration of their offices are about as bad as you can get. The plan I have provides for what is referred to as Inner Circle practices if you have a similar plan use them with extreme caution unless you like spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars you could save going else where. I dealt with two of their locations and in both cases was lied to about them being part of the health plan's inner circle participation. I tried to resolve it with them and provided all the documentation that showed they misrepresented their status but with zero result. Like a said there's nothing wrong with their doctors but beware of the the staff in charge of billing. I suggest you even record your conversation when they tell you that they accept your insurance and what level coverage they support. read more

Dr. Ho is beyond excellent. I cannot think of anyone better than Dr. Ho for all retina needs. Hes extremely knowledgeable and caring and really gains your trust. He did the Scleral buckle surgery with the gas bubble on the right eye. I'm a huge worry wort and this was my very first surgery and he was nothing but reassuring during the entire process. I needed an emergency appointment for a retinal issue. I was seen at the Vauxhall office. They were extremely accommodating despite the fact that they were extraordinarily busy. Dr. Ho was compassionate and extremely comprehensive in his exam. They got me set up for surgery and Dr. Madreperla was there with his quiet competence to go over the procedure in detail and obviously perform it. It is a real gift to be able to have this level of specialty care available locally in your neighborhood. As a physician myself, I feel I may have some extra insights into what to look for in a good physician and I recommend them and their office very highly. read more
