This place is horrible. Awful customer service…read more All I wanted was to purchase either a one month trial or some individual sessions for my nephew as a Christmas gift. First, I sent a message via their website. No response. Then I tried calling and left a message on their voicemail. No response. Finally, I texted the phone number that was mentioned on the voicemail message, and finally got a response. It is now Monday, December 16. The person tells me they are closed for emergency repairs and if I call on the following Monday, they will help me purchase a gift certificate. I confirm that's the 23rd. So on Monday the 23rd, I text again and ask what number I should call to purchase the gift certificate. I get this long text trying to persuade me to purchase a 6-month membership. I decline saying I just need something as a trial for like a month or a few individual sessions and if he likes it then my sister will consider getting a membership. No response. I can see they read the text. And here it is, 2 days before Christmas and I need to scramble to find a gift for my nephew. Absolutely horrible experience. If this is how they are when someone is just trying to give them some business, I can't imagine how they are if you are trying to cancel or there is some issue that doesn't benefit them. Stay away from this place.

In this place I found that true self confidence comes from within and has little to do with the materials you own, the clothes you wear, or the money you make. I was in a bad place when I decided to try boxing. But I knew I was angry and wanted to punch something, so boxing was the light bulb that went off in my head. I did a lot of research trying to find a good gym. I read the whole website and was absorbed in the stories. Immediately inspired I booked it to the subway station. 45 minutes later I almost got cold feet on the 1 train thinking I couldn't walk into a boxing gym, I just thought I didn't belong. The lady at the front desk helped wash away my fears. She was so welcoming and genuine I became a little more comfortable. I signed up and continued to go (nearly weekly) until I left New York. All of the trainers are knowledgeable and good people. But no one tested me as much as Eric Kelly did. He had a nickname for me, 13, because apparently that's how old I look. He was brash, no nonsense, demanding your best only and always. It was exactly what I needed, I improved, I became strong, and most importantly I saw my limits and pushed past them, which was so rewarding. I faced my fears every time I walked into that gym and I felt invincible every time I left. Intensive. Life Changing. Shout out to Eric: thanks for everything.
