They also organized various team building events, like pizza parties, ice pop treat, volleyball games, to engage students. The coaches really care about individual students. They are very kind, willing to make extra efforts to help student's personal growth. They reach out to support and encourage students. My son became enthusiastic about martial arts. He takes every opportunity to attend the practices, and feels proud of the completion of each class where he overcomes new challenges. Through training, he made tremendous improvement on strength and flexibility. My son has participated in several demos and competitions. That's a great motivator for him to improve his skills and to strengthen self-confidence. Coach Jenny is very caring, always smiling and patient, checking out the perfect size of outfit and weapon for each student. She also took a lot of photos/videos of every event and thoughtfully organized them into one directory for each student, for a memorable experience. The team members also cheer up for each other like a big family. The coaches work with students of different levels and help them to strive for the best self. We recommended three new students from different families ranging from 7 years old to 13 years old to join the school, and they liked it! During the 3rd or 4th week, I canceled my contract because 1. My child was yelled at in class by the instructor. My son is autistic and has trouble with following directions. The instructor pulled my son aside and yelled at him. I have never seen such disrespect and rude behavior by an establishment that claims to be professional. 2. I spoke to a girl at the front desk to tell her that I wanted to cancel my contract because of the behavior that was displayed towards my child. She apologized and told me that she would talk to the owner. I watched her go over to the older woman wearing the head scarf and she told her. What happened next was terrible. I saw the woman freak out and tell her that she didn't care. I see so many things that are wrong with that. Not only from a business perspective but a human perspective. 3. As the picture attached shows, I emailed them to cancel my contract. I emailed them before my contract date was up. I received confirmation from them. AND THEN MY ACCOUNT GOT CHARGED! 4. THEN, I called them and left a message. I did this for a week straight and didn't get a response. So, I went in and spoke to another person at the front desk that I had never seen before and they told me that someone would contact me. I haven't received a call yet. This is completely unprofessional. I am extremely upset about this. After talking to other parents, I found that this is a very common occurrence. I am sure they teach good martial arts classes, but this is completely unacceptable and has not been my experience. Parents with autistic children: STAY AWAY

They have also grown an amazing kids and adults isshinryu karate program that started in 2019, and their women's Jiu Jitsu team has grown exponentially as well - making it the biggest woman led, women's only Jiu Jitsu programs in New Jersey. It has turned into one of the most sought after places to train, with multiple members who travel more than 45 minutes to train there. I can't express into words how welcoming the community is to people of all walks of life, all experience levels - whether you are coming alone or with your entire family. And of course, I spent the entire day trying to get ahold of someone and nobody answers the phone. Overall, TERRIBLE management and treating people that were excited and very willing to pay their obnoxiously priced monthly rates.
