It became obvious after a few auctions I attended that the auctioneer kept going to one or two bidders that never raised their hand to bid. The quick head nod kept the bidding going higher and higher. I asked if consignors were allowed to bid on their own items to jack up prices and was reluctantly told YES. It became quite clear that the auctioneer played the legitimate bidder against bids from the consignor. The true good ole boy network of a small town I guess. Legal in Colorado apparently, but very poor business practice and should be disclosed throughout the auction in my opinion. One time I mentioned significant hidden damage to the staff on an item that was coming up soon. They whispered to the auctioneer, but nothing was said when the item came up. I just read about the unhappey person with joe. I have been attending this auction for 30 plus years and can say with authorty i have never seen anyone, especially joe, being rude to anyone. This family is as honest as the day is long. I have to question if.maybe this person has an atittude problem. read more

Joe was very rude and short with us very unorganized. The rest of the staff was not much better.
