I had a warranty on the car and the dealership I bought from gave me the wrong information and make the entire situation so stressful just to not cover the problem under the warranty. Service dept is the worst. I brought my car in on 3 separate occasions to fix my door that was under warranty and each time it was there tHey gave me a excuse why they didn't fix it. The service mangers wife called me to do a phone survey and I told her what happened and she was apologetic and said "my husband will call you" I told her I wouldn't give a bad review because things happen. Recently purchased a car from Nissan 112. Don't get me wrong, I love the car I bought but there were a few unkept promises. The salesman Vinny who helped me, he tries to become your best friend but does not get anything done. The only thing he cares about is getting you in a car and off that lot. Making promises he cannot keep. He promised upon the purchase of my car, we would be receiving $100 for a friends and family promotion because I bought a car with the person who brought me to the dealership. It's been about two months now and we still have n410kot received anything. Every time we ask about it we get the run around. I even went into the dealership confronted Vinny, He told me to go see another guy. I went to him he told me its Vinnys fault so its a whole big he said she said game they play. I don't care about the $100. I put 10k down. It's the principle. I even called and spoke to management. They told me, They see the file and see that it hasn't been sent out yet and that they will be taking care of it and get the check out asap. STILL HAVE NO RECIEVED A THING. They promised to detail my car, still never was able to get that done. They rushed my car off the lot so fast that I had to bring my car back to get the brakes checked! The guys in the back were really great I must say They know how to do their job. I had to get my rotors cut because of the failure of the people in the front office. They failed to get my car properly inspected before it went off the lot. The fact they passed a car for inspection when it clearly needed brakes blows my mind. Not to mentioned they shove their insurance down your throat and failed to tell me a few things that I wound up getting straightened out. But there lack of telling me the proper information had me riding around in my car without full coverage for a month. Also they shove this 3rd party company to pay your car payment thru called "uptempo" down your throat and make it seem as if its the only way to pay the car and it saves you a ton of money. Its all a gimmick so they can make more commissions off of you. That is all they care about they do not care about the people actually buying the cars. Vinny the biggest liar going. Giving me the run around all the time and charged me $120 to get a spare key which should of came with the car like he said. These people will do anything and say anything to sell you a car. I love the car I bought its great. As far as the people in front, Salesman and the managers in the front. They all lie to your face just to appease you. Nothing actually gets done. As far as all the guys in the back, They get 5 Stars, I brought my car in to have the brakes checked they got my car in and out fast as well as doing an oil change for me. They were friendly as well. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Nissan 112! We worked with Chris, Carlos and Yessenia, they all over extended themselves to make our experience effortless and painless (because we all know that's how it can be when visiting a dealership). My 2018 Nissan Murano is coming off lease on Oct 24, 2021. To purchase the car, I had started to shop for financing through a credit union or a bank. Once I was approved for financing, I called Nissan to receive an "end of lease letter", which is required to finalize the financing. So, I went to Nissan 112 to receive the "End of Lease letter" as I had leased the car from this dealer and was unable to acquire this letter without going to the finance department at 112. Ultimately, I was unable to receive the letter as needed, which was annoying, and decided to get financing through the dealer, as it seemed easier. At this point I sat down with Paul Caperna, alleged finance professional, and he said he could get me the interest rate I was quoted, by my outside bank, for 5 years. I said go for it and he ended getting me a better rate than I expected and then laid out the amount I needed to finance. He said it was $22,061 for the residual cost of the car a $300 disposition fee and a dealer fee of $995, plus tax and fees. I said OK " is all of this in the contract?" He said yes and that other dealers, specifically mentioning Smithtown Nissan, were charging more than $2,500 for this dealer fee, which he quoted at $995. I said again "This is all is in their contract?" He said yes, which incidentally he vehemently denies. To continue and based on my own stupidity in trusting this grifter, I allowed him to add a $995 fee to my finance agreement. I went home reviewed my lease contract and there was and is no $995 dealer fee required to be paid when you finance your lease. Paul added a bogus charge to price gouge me, there is no other way to say how this happened. IF he was ethical, he would say we are charging a fee of $995, and it is NOT in the contract. I would have refused, and we would have both had to abide by our SIGNED lease contract. The irony and main point to show his thievery is why would I ever finance additional money for a car when I was in fact not contractually obligated to do so???? I called Paul and complained, and he lied and said he never said the $995 was in the contract. I asked then why I would finance something I was not required to pay. He had no answer. I told him he was a liar and disingenuous at best. He said he was "completely straightforward with me" Paul and I have very different definitions of how businessmen act. I am irate, furious, and embarrassed that as a CPA I allowed my better judgment to be taken by a common two bit, grifter at Nissan 112. I admit I should have known what fees are required in my contract and that is ultimately on me. Lastly, this is unethical behavior at the highest level. How many people does Paul do this to a day? How many other people at this dealer and any others owned by Tantillo Auto Group are gouging people? How much financing is going on at 112 that is not valid? This must be a large-scale fraud. I am a licensed and active CPA in the state of New York and worked as an auditor for many years at a large multinational CPA firm. I have seen this type of fraud firsthand. Let me be clear, if Paul felt completely comfortable adding a $995 bogus fee to a customer's contract, even when they question it and he knows they are a CPA, then there is nothing this dealership won't do that is unethical. And specifically, there is absolutely nothing Paul Caperna will not do that is unethical. There is no other way to cut this, he knew the fee was a dealer fee not required to be paid by me and he simply said, "to hell with it" and jammed it in my contract. I am severely disappointed that this is a business that is operating on Long Island preying on regular family folks. We must end this type of business practice. I will let reader decide if a CPA with 20 years of ethical work experience in the NYC business community would waste his time submitting complaints to the State Attorney General's office, Better Business Bureau and various other watchdog agencies if I didn't believe Paul and Nissan were acting unethically. These complaints were submitted last night and this am. Please note I am fully cooperating with any agency that needs me to work on getting this type of behavior resolved. This place is absolutely the worst experience that you could imagine. As a first time lease holder they made this process one that I will hold onto for the future as to WHAT not to look for in a dealership. My car was given to me without a lease for the first month of driving it. (A whole month without a lease!) They also failed to provide me with a car registration after two months of driving the car and as a result of their negligence I received a ticket. They promised to pay for it as it was their fault but never did. Moreover, it is now January 2021 and I began my lease in September of 2020 and they still have NOT provided me with a second key. I have been trying to contact them but am constantly told to just wait longer. I got locked out of my car due to issues with its automatic door lock system, and had to pay for Pop-A-Lock out of pocket since I still do not have a second key! In October, I reported these issues to Nissan HQ and they told me that someone from Nissan 112 would get back to me the next day. Again, it is now January and I still have gotten no response. I have been so patient understanding that there is a pandemic and things are moving slowly however five months of radio silence is about enough. If you are a first time lease holder like myself and trying to find a place that will actually take care of your needs, I do not recommend this place. In fact I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. I bought a bmw here (worse decision ever) sooo when I first bought the car sales person Gran he didn't tell me anything about the car nothing about putting in gear diff modes and such nothing I asked about vehicle history and car fax he said, "I think it's clean" I said can I get a copy of car-fax he said "no problem" i had just got in a car accident and I needed a car and I needed a car fast (wish that wasn't the case) so I told Gran I wanted the car. He told me it would take about 3 hrs to service the car and make sure the car was good. Gran did not call me to tell me car was ready nothing I was just suppose to know car was done being "serviced" like come on!! I should've ran at that time!! I showed the pink residue on the car door that needed to be cleaned. I came back for the car remote of the car is dead (which was the first thing the dash told me when I was about to drive off) if the car was services how was this not addressed before I got the keys. Anywho the pink residue was still on the car and on they. Gran had the audacity to be annoyed with me because I was annoyed that I have to deal with this. He sent the finance guy Carlos to take care of the dead key. Carlos was very nice and he helped me with out an attitude and also apologized for his so workers. A couple of days later I went back to Nissan 112 to let them know a mechanic that was doing my photo inspection mentioned to me my front tire was shaky, I don't know anything about cars so I brung it back for them to take a look at (took 3 hrs). The sales manager I believe his name was Mike ...threatened to refund me and take the car back. I was all for it like I can get a car elsewhere. He came back with some excuse on why it can't happen. 10 days later my engine light comes on i again, brung it back I encountered Mo (service manager) who to me comes off condescending he said he ran diagnostics and something with the vent he accused me of tampering with the vent (the only people to touch inside of the hood has been them and only them, and how dare him) that took about 3 hrs. For them to tell me they cleared the code and to drive 300 miles and to contact them if engine light comes back on. Sooo now where at my 3rd time I'm back here and the engine light came back on I called before I came in spoke to Sheldon from service very nice guy said they were waiting on there bmw guy to come in and check the car out 3 hrs later engine light is on and said he'll call bmw and get my appointment. I asked about a rental because if I drop off my car I won't have one and I need it to and I have childrens' Dr appointment, graduation, work and such .... I'm currently sitting at BMW getting a diagnosis ... Nissan 112 stating they have 0 loaners ... I'm stuck here with out a car that I purchased less than 40days ago .. so I would not be in this predicament.... This can't be life !!! Nissan 112 y'all should really be ashamed of y'all selves! Second time i had my car serviced here i bought it at the Nissan of Garden City came in a few weeks ago for an oil change they did it super fast which was nice but the service advisor i dealt with was kind of rude and pushy. First off after be ripped off and put into a car that's small as hell, the car was disgusting inside, trunk had dirt in it and a week later I get a flat tire and guess what ? NO LOCK KEY. So one of the managers DALLAS EVANS told me to put fix a flat in it until Monday when his mechanics at the shop can break the lock only to call him Monday morning and first he wasn't available, second phone call he was in a meeting and third phone call was it was his day off. So I texted him and he told me to take it to a tire or rim shop which we all know they charge by the hour, then says he can't do anything because he's stuck in Puerto Rico. Lol. Disgusting. The only person that was patient and willing to help was ANA. I honestly don't even see how she works for them. I honestly didn't even think it was possible to have a 1.5 star rating on Yelp. The professionalism and service here is absolutely abysmal. The standard code of ethics in business doesn't seem to apply to them and they show it in every way they possibly can. When it takes 4 hours for a scheduled simple service, and you call to check and are then told that no update is necessary and you'll receive a call when it's ready is absolutely outrageous. People have other things to do. This has been a reoccurring issue with them! I will absolutely not be returning to this Nissan or any Nissan in the future.. I'm surprised at the number of poor reviews here. I walked into Nissan 112, with zero intentions of actually purchasing anything. I initially asked to look at the new Versa, which I didn't really want, but knew it was the only Nissan I could afford. The salesperson I worked with tried to steer me to a pre-owned vehicle, which I was hesitant about given previous experiences with pre-owned, as well as a poor experience I had with pre-owned salespeople the week prior. In passing, I mentioned I used to own a Sentra, and I really loved it. The salesperson, Alan then asked me how I felt about a model year older, but brand new Sentra. Obviously, I was OK with this, and he managed to find me a 2017 Nissan Sentra, brand new, in a color I liked. I should mention, that when I walked into the dealership, I was already approved by my bank for a certain amount. I shared this with Alan, and he was able to get me a better car than I expected I would get, with all fees and taxes, under the amount I was approved for. In fact, when I went in to pick up the car a couple of days later, the guy I signed all the paperwork with asked me how I knew Alan. The deal was so good, he thought I new Alan personally. If there was a negative number to give this dealership, then I would have given it. The advise I can give you is to go ELSEWHERE! They constantly LIE, ATTEMPT to cover up their own lies and misrepresentations. I bought a 2018 Nissan Murano Platinum . The car was bought because of the main reason was that it was low mileage, but was a CPO (certified pre owned). That covers the powertrain, and drivetrain for 7 years. It stated on Carfax AND their own ad, that this car was certified on December 20, 2020. It also showed where things that are on the precertification list were done on December 15, 2021. I am from South Carolina and was going to have the car delivered to me. The sales person Gwen was helpful, but it seems her hands are tied, and was told by the dictatorship to not speak to me any further. It all began with a missing key fob. According to the CPO guidelines you are supposed to have TWO keys. I only got 1 key the second key, it states that on the car display center. I called about the key, and Gwen said she would check on it. Remind you, this is a CPO, there is no question. Surprise, surprise, Gwen said , they cannot find the primary key. I sent her a photo of a blank CPO form that shows the REQUIREMENTS. THEN, I get a surprise, my fiancee called to find out what was going on, and he had the unpleasant experience of speaking with Mike, used car sales manager with an attitude, and rude. He proceeded to tell me that I was wrong, it was not a CPO, and they are not responsible for anything. Such a Napoleon Complex response from someone who is supposed to give you an answer. He proceeded to talk at 200mph, changing subjects, etc. In other words, he called my fiancee a liar, and said that he is not a carfax dealer. FUNNY, the FREE carfax report was on THEIR website, which stated the car was a CPO. I also have a text from Gwen , when asked if it was CPO she answered ...YES... Mike, started YELLING at me about my fiancee and that it was not a CPO, and that we were making things up. THEN, he says that he will just send a truck and pick up the car. HA! HA! HA!! This guy barks at people, then realizes that he makes no sense! He was going to spend $1200 plus to send a truck, reimburse me for the tires and extras I had put on the car since purchase. In other words, he was going to spend almost $2500 plus to get the car back, instead of sending me a key fob, and to pay for having the car recertified at a local Nissan Dealer. Does it make sense??? Of course not. This whole dealership are swindlers. It gets better. I have the original Carfax report. Surprise surprise Mike! It shows the 12/20/20 Certification,. After my complaint, they went and DELETED the 12/20 certification from the report. This sounds up and up, now doesnt it! You can run but you cannot hide from the truth. They will not even acknowledge to give me my CPO signed paperwork. They attempted to sell me a "wrap warranty", and using THEIR words with a witness who heard this, to protect me with a total wrap around warranty which will .....enhance the CPO existing warranty. So I am making all this up! I called and asked for Tammy G, the supposed Customer Relations Manager, that "answers" the responses. The front desk sends me to a voice mail of a MANs voice. I left my number, asked to please someone get back to me. Five days and still waiting. They defrauded me with false deceptive advertising. What is even more shocking is that they try to cover up by removing "evidence" from documents. Too bad. I already have EVIDENCE and screen shot of response from sales person, AND that this was a CPO car. MY cousin lives in the area and had her go look at the car and she said the salesperson told her it was a CPO. Now, we are ALL liars! They sent me BLANK paperwork, which I was apprehensive about signing, but they said, they do this all the time, and that we would get a copy of all the documentations and to "trust them, they do this everyday!" I paid for a CPO, and I am going to have a CPO, and I WILL have a signed report. They think that because I am in another state, that I will not follow up on this. DMV, AG, and BBB will all be contacted. STAY AWAY...you have been warned! If I could rate this place a 0 I would. Let me start off with my salesman, John Corbak. Sexist predator that he is. I thought he was a good salesman, I was wrong. I told him what I wanted..we looked @ a 2020 Rogue Sport, I liked it. He ran numbers wit the finance guy..he came back & said I qualified for something else. I traded in a 2017 & put money down. He put me in a 2017 & said that was the ONLY thing the bank approved me for. The car I traded in was in better condition than the one I bought. & when you buy a new car you go a year or 2 newer, not the same year! He made me feel like I had no choice. Took total advantage of me cause ima woman. I had the car for 5 days..any bump I hit the car would RATTLE! I brought it in on a Saturday. @ first they told me to bring it back Wednesday (mind you a rattling car seems a little unsafe, no?) I said something, so they took it that day. They called me & told me it was a rack & pinion replacement. Ohhh? A total rack & pinion replacement on a 2017 with 21,000 miles? Ok! Week 1. No call. Week 2. No call. Week 3. No call. 3 weeks went by & I got no phone call on the status of my car. I could of @ least got a courtesy call! @ this point I didn't even want the car. I. I no longer felt safe in the car. My sole purpose of purchasing a new car was for the safely of my daughter & I. Once I came to the dealership saying I no longer wanted the car, Johns attitude changed & he acted like he didn't know who I was. Cool, keep that energy. So I had to escalate the problem to a manager. Nicki, manager of pre-owned vehicles. That was a waste of time also. He told me that he would do everything in his power to help me get into a new car. Knowing damn well that the bank had already paid them, & they wouldn't approve me for another loan. Not to mention John & Mike the finance guy (who has a horrendous attitude) pressured me into telling the bank to release my loan to them once I told them I called the bank to tell them what was going on with my car. They told me that they would cancel the deal & my payment would go higher. But wait, there's more! My car "passed" inspection, & I'm not sure how cause my tires were so WORN that they looked flat! God forbid I got into an accident with those tires being bald like that, I wouldda sued the hell out of this place. Salesman Eric, he's a dirtbag also. I was passed off to him. When the concern of my tires was brought to his attention he didn't seem the least bit concerned. When I said "well what am I supposed to do in the meanwhile about my tires?" His response was "drive slow!" I hope one day, someone doesn't respond to his children like that. I seen them kids on his desk, karma is a bitch. My Mother-in law, and father-in-law purchased a car from this place and got completely taken advantage of. They have heavy accents and don't understand English as well as someone who speaks it as a native language. I'm sure these people knew that and why they took advantage and why I am the one writing this review. I told them to go to a specific dealership on route 112 because they had a good Nissan Rogue for sale and fit their budget. They ended up at Nissan 112, because they thought to themselves, they want a Nissan, and it's on 112. Anyway, the sales person told them the car was $16,700, and insisted that he told them that was the internet price which didn't include the sneaky "minus a $1995 down payment" message. I can't figure out why they even bothered to tell them the internet price when they pretty much don't know what the internet is. Then the finance manager, Paul, sold them a warranty they didn't need or want, didn't inform them correctly about the $2000 in dealership fees that weren't included in the price of the vehicle, and somehow they ended up paying over $30,000 for a 2017 Nissan Rogue. For that price they could've purchased a brand new one. So I went back with my father-in-law to discuss this, and Paul wasn't there, so they sat us down with a different finance manager, and when he noticed we were there in disgust about the deal, he blew us off and played the "he said/she said" game saying, "well I wasn't there so I don't know what was said." He told us we'd have to come back and speak to Paul when he was in. So we did, and Paul proceeded to insult me when signing the paperwork to negate the extended warranty saying, "when your car breaks down, you can tell your son-in-law he can pay for it." It's no wonder car salesman and finance managers have a bad name in this industry. On top of all of that, my mother-in-law asked repeatedly for someone to go over all the numbers involved and they kept deflecting, same as when we went back to see Paul. He did the same thing, and they still have not supplied my mother-in-law with a copy of the bill of sale, which I think, is illegal. Either way, as you can tell, I would recommend you stay away from this dealership as they will certainly take advantage of you if you don't know what you're doing. read more

The nissan 112 service department really helped me out. I had purchased my vehicle, a 2012 Nissan maxima at another dealership but after the terrible service they provided I will only bring it to Nissan 112. All the people there are great, especially Roland, who we found, after going there to purchase new tires when they were running a special. I know dealing with a dealership can be nerve wracking, but not here. I feel comfortable & secure knowing they have my best interest at heart. My car is running great now & I know i can trust Nissan 112 for all my service needs & I will definitely be purchasing my next vehicle through them also. read more

On March 8th I leased 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. 2 weeks later the A/C stopped working. Took the car to the service at the dealership, and after inspecting the car they informed me that A/C condenser was probably hit by a rock, and now needs to be repaired, and warranty does not cover it. Since we didn't hear anything hitting the car, and did not observe anything unusual while driving the car, it was hard to believe that this is what happened to the A/C condenser. Service guys showed me where the damage was, and it was so minuscule, hard to notice, yet bad enough for all the freon to escape. The car front is designed with 6 wide 5.5x3 inches openings, and the condenser is widely exposed and not protected at all. Since that happened, I started looking at all the other models and manufacturers, and it seems that they do, in fact, have adequate front protection from rocks, branches, etc, whatever you may encounter on the road. So now they say I have to fix it out of pocket (about $1500), because warranty would not cover it, and my insurance has a high deductible, not worth filing a claim. Neither dealership nor Nissan consumer affairs owned up to the problem and now I'm stuck with a new car, about 1000 miles on it and no A/C. My concern is that even if I fix it, the front lacks protection, and this is just will keep happening. The worst customer service, first we were told a price for a car, after the credit was run they came out with another final price higher than agreed. I already left a review in Google, they told me to contact the manager, I called them several times and they always transfer me to voicemail and never call me back, I was a loyal nissan customer for more than 10 years, I feel very disappointed, they show me that the sales person are not interested at all into help the customer needs. read more

WOW do I wish I had read the reviews. I only went to Nissan because Firestone couldn't do what I needed- a weather strip. My car wasn't placed on the lift properly, slid down and the door was damaged. I get it, accidents happen. Only by the time they fixed it and I picked it up I was without my car for 12 days. I had to wait 8 days for them to fix their mistake. The best part is there was another area (literally 6 inches away) of damage they didn't have the body shop repair. Nor was I told about it. I called TWICE today for the manager and had to go down in person (where he was sitting at his desk just eating). Obviously the manager tried to say "only the corner was damaged". He was supposed to call the body shop and then call me, which hasn't happened and the service center is now closed. *I* will have to call tomorrow and continue this nightmare. I'm sure once my car gets it's new repair it will be another week, so 3 full weeks of their incompetence. I will tell everyone I ever meet to never come here. An absolute dumpster fire with below subpar employees. read more

Then you have to pay all the fees and miraculously the 'coupon' is already worked in any discounts. Didn't notice until we drove away, they did not even give us the year registration. How sad. ZERO STARS, but you have to give one to be allowed to post. I would NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE go back to this dealership. They sold me a car that has had nothing but problems. I brought it home, the check engine light came on. They fixed it. Brought it home again, happened again .. They found SPIDER webs in the engine after they assured me they checked the whole car for problems. The visor on the driver side was broken, asked them to order me a new one.. it took them THREE weeks to even place the order because they "forgot". This place is complete crap and full of incompetence. I'm paying for car insurance for the car to sit on that lot and collect dust. It's bullshit and ridiculous. NEVER GO HERE unless you enjoy having a headache and emptying your bank account. read more

This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. Basically my car had a defect that other Nissan 350z's had. The third gear grinded all the time, so I brought it in for warranty repair and foolishly was nice to them and told them I do not need a rental that I have a company car, and just to do it right. 1 month later.. Yes they kept my car for a month and I was a bit unhappy about that, but I just wanted it fixed. So I get there, and my car is out in the lot, battery dead, and door dinged. They jump it, I am still not mad, because I only want my car fixed. so I take it out and drive it GRIIIND. They basically did nothing at all. The battery was dead because it was sitting there forever and was probably never fixed at all. What a fraud. I go into the service managers office, and now I am mad, and demand rental car while car is being repaired now. They call me the next day and say it is ready. They service manager tells me that the car is perfectly fine. I tell him no it is not and I will show him, and he says I dont know how to drive my car! He also says get that car out of here, we are not doing anything with it! Then I said well I am going to make it hurt for you guys screwing me like this by reporting you to Nissan etc and giving you bad reputation for basically lying to my face, but he did not care. I was never so mad before. I called NNA, and they had me bring it to another dealer who said it was broken and changed the transmission. This is what Nissan 112 should have done in the first case rather than keeping my car for a month and lying to me. I could not believe how unfair they treated me after I was so patient. Nearly everyone in the waiting room was really pissed off like the guy that left his car for an oil change and they kept it for 2 days! The guy at the counter was just a professional liar that told people anything to shut them up. You can see that I review a lot of places and rarely give a bad review, but this is the worst I have ever been treated by a business and never go to Nissan 112. read more

Let me first start of by saying I love my Nissan 2007 Altima Hybrid I bought from Nissan 112. BUT these people are scam artisits. I will list the reasons why.. -I was lied to about the price of the car. I was told one price then when I was ready for purchase they added a $900 "used car fee". I should have walked out then. This is a common scam that Nissan of Smithtown got sued for. I have proof of this and I am in the proccess of contacting the Attorney General's Office. -My car had scratches that I was told would be buffed out. This was not the case when I purchased and all I was offered was a can of touch up paint -My rear window switch was out of the holder with wires exposed. I didnt notice this until I got home. -After two month of driving the car I blew a tire. When I asked my local mechanic he said there is no way I had new tires when I bought the car. They were just rotated. I guess that wasnt included in my "used car" fee. I informed them of all my problems after purchase. I told them I would write bad reviews and contact the attorney general and they still did nothing. DO NOT buy a car from them. They are thieves. read more
