Review for Salt Cave…read more.. Halothereapy or Speleotherapy is a therapy that includes a salt cave known to help with relaxation and could possibly help with different health conditions such as respiratory. I saw a special running on Facebook so I called to book an appointment. We were the only ones in the salt cave during scheduled time, possibly due to pandemic or we just got lucky. Either way, it was really nice and relaxing have just us in there during that hour. I wasn't prepared for it to be so cold, so here is my hint: dress for warmth like sweats and hoodies. Also bring eye covers, it's just not dark enough so this is what I needed the most while trying to relax. My husband wore his sunglasses. The spa does provide blankets and a small heating pad. The chairs are outdoor zero gravity lounge chairs which are not heated as I read someone mention in a review. Repeat, chairs are not heated. Also wear shoes that kick off and bring socks to put on once you get to your chair. You will be walking barefoot on the salt. Or the spa will provide booties for you to wear once you are inside the salt cave. Would I do this again? You betcha!

You can sit in silence the whole time or connect your bluetooth and play whatever you like. I love spas that honor noise levels and protect the clients' peace. They offer a Monday Detox special which is how I was introduced to them. It was a great decision. Crystal and Erica checked me in and showed me around. They were so helpful. For my massage I chose Adrian. I told her exactly what I wanted and she gave me that and more. Each of my visits left me completely rested, rejuvenated, and satisfied.

I've also used the infrared sauna and the room is comfy and there is a shower right in the room so you can sweat then get out and rinse off (if you aren't doing the cold plunge right after). The prices are right on par with similar services locally, and I love supporting a local small business, so I will keep coming back.

Upon arrival, I was treated to a scavenger hunt. A massage parlor that requires sneaking through a Dunkin' Donuts back door? Is this a massage or a spy thriller? Your laminated paper sign in the lobby only adds to the unprofessional comedy. Strike two. Then I enter a room that feels like a sauna. No air conditioning, no fan--just oppressive heat. Strike three. On top of that, barely any oil was used, so the entire massage felt like an Indian rug burn. But wait--there's more. The therapist stopped three times mid-session to answer phone calls, scheduling other clients while I lay there. I lost about 5 to 6 minutes to these calls--and then, despite paying for 2 hours, my session ended at 1 hour and 20 minutes. By that point, I was so done I didn't even complain--I just wanted to leave. Never again. Please spare yourself the experience.
