I followed the rules and was yelled at one night and threatened by the girl that lives there it was before 10 . The office staff is very aggressive and rude and even when I called and asked for the corporate office the office staff lied and acted like 2 yr olds. Then calling the corporate office they accused me of lying and was rude as hell. I had storage there for years an years with no problem. read more

50 stars! Thank you Penske, Dallas and staff at Nipomo Self Storage for making our move from Southern California to Central Coast easy for us. You guys rock! I highly recommend renting a Penske. This facility is great and easy access to get to and to drop off your truck. We rented on 3 occasions - 26' & 16' trucks and a high top cargo van. The trucks and van are very clean and they sanitize after every use. My husband loved driving the high top cargo van is brand new and smells it, seats were so comfortable. Before we dropped off the van, I had to sit in it. I was so jealous that he was sitting in it for 3 1/2 hrs and not me! Love you guys! And thanks Ruby T. for your review too! read more

With no notice at all, these folks doubled our rent for our RV from $65 to $110 per month..... right when everyone is struggling to survive the Corona Virus they decide to take advantage of their Tenants... it's horrible... it's one thing to get a 10% increase but double???... that's robbery.. No matter..we found a much better place that is $40 cheaper and easier to get in and out of..... if anyone is experiencing the same shady business practice go to WILLOW RV STORAGE.... they are a very large storage lot with 900 spots, reasonable prices and much easier entry and exit. 542 Lindon Ln Storage where I had two Motorhomes for seven years. Lacks of security, the place was broke into many times including one of my motorhomes. New manager Summer Crist, made up rules, you can only come in for so many times, fifteen minutes each time and wanted to inspected the RV as well. I took mine out. Manager is suppose to protect owner interest, (customers satisfies, come loyalty and business will grow.) Summer had failed all three. No wonder the lot is half empty. Summer is too shallow to understand, customers made her salary possible. read more

I was pleasantly pleased with my experience renting space at Nipomo Self Storage. I was greeted by Dallas who was welcoming and helpful, showing me a couple of units that would work for my items and then even providing me with a lock as it never crossed my mind to purchase and bring one myself. The storage facility seemed fairly new and very secure. I would use Nipomo self storage again if the need ever arose. read more

We were up against it, needed to rent a moving van and storage unit in three days' time, right when demand was starting to peak and vans, not to mention storage, was at a premium. I called these folks, spoke with Summer, and she stayed with me on the phone, managing to help the walk-in folks and still work on finding a solution for my needs ... and she DID, on such short notice! When word came the next morning that the larger van I'd reserved wouldn't be available, she had a smaller but perfectly adequate replacement ready, and called me right away. When moving day came the following day, the whole transaction, including getting a storage unit for a very good price, went as smooth as silk. The unit was immaculate and VERY safe. Love this facility Very clean, nice friendly staff. Rented 2 years never had problem. Some of these reports seem very shady.They have generic storage contract so if they broke the laws why did it not get reported by renter. Extremely easy to work with. I rented shop space from them for 4 years, and currently have 2 storage units an park my RV there. I have rented motor homes and trucks from them as well. Glad I didn't see reviews before I rented. Perhaps they have learned and improved or it was just some "one off" experiences. In any case, my experience with Matt was professional, courteous and fair. Our unit was in great shape and with low mileage. Only criticism is that I think the charges for bedding and cooking (which we didn't use, brought our own) are a bit high. Also the potential charge for "dump fee" is a bit punitive as well. I would use them again. read more

We have used Nipomo self storage twice now, they are awesome to work with, very helpful, go the extra mile for there customers. Matt the manager is the most accommodating and nicest person to work with. Ashley is awesome too! We had such a great experience the first time renting a storage unit that we came back and rented a truck from them and again had the easiest and best service ever. Went to this storage facility to rent a trailer spot for my trailer, when i got there i was told i wouldn't be accommodated cause they had nothing for me, fine wasn't a problem if they don't have, then they don't have. I realized I needed gas, the wife and i are pretty new to maneuvering a trailer and truck so we were going to leave our trailer on the street while we gassed up real quick couldn't have been more than 15 minutes to do this, the lady in the office walked almost a whole block and a half to tell me that i could not park there cause her customers park there, and she left without explaining further, i hitched it back up and went to the office to try to explain my situation, i told it wouldn't be no longer than 15 minutes she firmly told me no and told me it would be towed, she told me it was private property, In the end The part that gets me is why she couldn't just be nice and say "OK but make it quick cause customers park there" she was inconsiderate to our dilemma and because of the circumstances and her demeanor she made me feel discriminated against and I hardly ever feel this way but today i did, all this backtracked our time so we were unable to find accommodations in time and had to spend more money, the reason I put blame on her is that when i called i was quoted a price for the storage but wasn't informed that there were no spaces, if i was i wouldn't have gone there to begin with, so definitely would not do business with this facility or any of their affiliates, anyone who would not give 15 minutes of their time to help someone would never get a penny from me, willow storage down the ways from there helped me like you wouldn't believe, Sherrie was a ray of sunshine on a day that i thought would never end she helped us when no one else would read more

I've had a unit here for 5 years! They got new management last year. I am seriously moving asap! I would give them zero stars! This is the worst company ever. Do not trust them to hold your belongings. They charge you bs charges and charge lien charges on bs lien charges. Like charging interest on interest - it's illegal! I pay my unit every month and they gave me a 10.50 lien charge on a zero balance due and then the next month charged another 10.50 lien charge on the previous months lien charge with no other balance due! The next month they charged me a $10 late fee on the two bogus lien charges and sent a notice of sell! This company will sell your stuff based on their bs $20 charges! They are criminals! They are so disrespectful when you try to talk to them - it's infuriating. I can't wait to get out of this awful storage unit. read more
