We ordered Hummus Kavurma, one other appetiser I cant remember the name, mixed grill and some thick cut chips as a side dish. The bread they serve is light warm and delicate with a lovely sprinkle of rosemary accompanied with rich butter topped with walnuts. Seriously yummy. The meat in the mixed grill platter was juicy, soft and perfectly seasoned. The dessert we ordered oh my god sweet heaven on a plate it was just something else I absolutely loved it. Until I moved away from the area, Golden Palace were my regular kebab takeaway service for years…read more My family and friends in the area all use them as well because they are that good. It's bad enough when you've finished eating most kebabs and the guilt factor kicks in realising you've eaten enough fat and grease to make all those trips to the gym that week futile, but not this place. The meat is fresh, nicely cooked and with salad or rice you actually feel like you're eating a healthy meal. I've tried everything and my favourite is the shish kebab, but if it's your first time i'd recommend the mixed kebab as it has a bit of everything so you can see what your favourite is. It's not really a place to sit down and eat as it's small inside and mostly used as a takeaway and delivery service so I always have them deliver or call my order ahead and pick it up if I'm passing by. Delivery is quick, around 30 minutes, and it's a service you will want to make part of your weekly ritual.

I came in to this place in sporting attire and it is an upscale place and the servers still were extremely polite to me. I order a Mixed Meze dish of a few sides. It was the perfect size for me. The pilaki (beans in Olive oil) was really, really good, the Cacik was also great. Cacik is sort of the Turkish version of Tszaki sauce. At Izgara, they also do a nice Turkish Apple tea, a real favourite of mine. This is not an inexpensive place, more of a mid-range place and I recommend wearing at least smart casual although when I came in shorts this summer, I may have felt out of place (understatement) but I still had a nice meal.

What we found was one of the best dining establishments in the Southgate area. I tried the Chicken Soya and it was love at first bite. The flavors worked incredibly well together with just the right amount of heat to spice up the dish. I found the staff to be very friendly and the place was very well kept. The extra bonus is that they will also deliver after 1700. So if you are in the area, check them out, you will not be disappointed. I will be back for sure.
