Nino's has long been established in Rawtenstall, and I can only assume that they have opened this new venture in order to expand. In Rawtenstall, the food has been reportedly inconsistent for the last 10 years or so, yet on the handful of occasions that I visited their now 'flagship' establishment, I personally never had a 'bad' meal there.
And so, being in the area, I visited this one. Just over the road from the newly refurbed Kettledrum Inn, this restaurant is impressive from the outside and the interior doesn't disappoint, either.
It is tastefully decorated, and there is entertainment on at weekends and (I believe) on certain weekdays/nights too. The atmosphere is pleasant and service is quite good.
The food is of a decent standard, though unfortunately there is nothing to really set it apart from the many other Italian restaurants I have visited, and it is quite high end price-wise, too.
That's about it - nothing really to write home about, but not too bad either. If you're passing and you're starving, or if you want to impress a date with the size of your wallet, drop in here. read more
