When a Sushi/Sashimi House doesn't carry standard normal cuts of traditional sashimi, I get suspicious. When they also have crappy service, even on my first visit, I simply never return. But, my wife and I wanted Sashimi/Nigiri and they were out of Tako, Hamachi AND Toro. W.T.F.??? And you want to be thought of as a higher end sushi house in your area, you need to do better. I arrived in town and just didn't feel like going out. This place delivered in about 45 minutes. I started with the Squid Salad which was huge. Mixed with cucumber and sesame seeds. The main dish was a Spicy Tuna roll and Great spicy spider roll. If a place cant do a good spicy tuna roll, forget about it. They did okay. I used to go to Saké in downtown Fort-Smith a LOT. When Saké closed down, I was put on a life-resetting quest to find another top-tier sushi place. About two years on my quest, I found this place. Idk how I got here. Probably some old friends or someone I went on a date with. Idk. But I've returned so often that it's become my go-to. There's a waiter/waitress who works here who used to seem pretty dry and almost rude. It almost made me give up on this heaven-hole, but then I saw some of the rude, entitled, and awful customers that they had to deal with. They eventually came out of their shell and they're one of my favorite employees there. If you're expecting some HIGH PRICE "my marriage is failing so I'm taking her to Saké" spot, you're at the wrong place. This is just a locally-owned secret spot that's sacred to a lot of people, like myself. Also, never any murderous bowel movements after, so that's a plus! No Tums needed. Just Gold-Bond for the chafing you'll do trying to sit down in the booth if you're tall like me and buy underwear that are way too tight for your own good (or you just haven't bought new underwear in years bc you live on a tight budget.) We've been eating here ever since they opened their doors four plus years ago and I will never step foot in there again. Their customer service has always been lacking, but I've always overlooked it in the past. Today was the final straw. I was overcharged for my meal. The meal that I ordered is handwritten on their specials sign, but I was overcharged exactly $1. When I asked for a receipt, she only wanted to give me the credit card receipt. I had to specifically ask for a receipt showing the breakdown. While it's only $1, I have a feeling that this happens quite often considering their lack of giving out proper receipts. I would HIGHLY suggest that anyone who chooses to eat here in the future requests a true receipt and to double check every charge. In addition, the music that they had blasting from the speakers was highly offensive. I'm not talking about a few curse words. It was literally every other word and was the most offensive song I've ever heard in my life. When I mentioned something to the young lady at the register, she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I just show up for work and this is what's playing". I realize that it's not her fault, but a man and woman, who I'm assuming are the owners or related to the owners (they both have rang me up at the register before) just stood there and didn't even attempt to apologize or suggest that anything would be done differently. Another customer standing next to me agreed and said the music was too much. Her daughter was a teenager but they didn't appreciate it either. I've taken my 7 year old into the restaurant on multiple occasions and I've recommended it to many, many people over the years, but they'll never see me enter their store again. I have ordered their ramen noodle and it was delicious (my first time or tasting ramen in a very long time). Previously, I also order their fried rice and few sushi rolls that were great too. First, ordering sushi via Grubhub and having it delivered to your hotel room is always a crap shoot. You just never know. I was craving sushi and feeling lucky while on a recent business trip, so I ordered from Ninja Express mostly based on it's proximity to the hotel and the reviews weren't horrible. No one had died so I figured I would give them a shot. The order arrived within the time frame given after I ordered. The seaweed salad was exceptional and there was a lot for a small order. It was the best part of the meal. The Arkansas Roll had a weird texture. The wrap was almost rubbery. Not a fan. The sushi combination platter I ordered was pretty forgettable. Run of the mill rolls with little flavor. I also only received two packets of soy sauce. Not nearly enough. Overall it was edible but mediocre. I won't do it again. read more

I just ate lunch with my mother and father at this restaurant. It was my first time eating here. I have eaten a lot of sushi from a lot of places. This restaurant has some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. I base all of my sushi experiences on the spicy tuna roll. If they can't make that good I'll never go back. However, this place made it the best I've ever had. I also had the shrimp tempura roll and it was fantastic as well. The customer service is great. The atmosphere is OK. But I'm not going there for the atmosphere. We had seven rolls and a couple of drinks and we're out in less than $40. Ownership of Ninja must have changed since the last time I was there. Before, the California rolls has pieces of crab and the Asparagus rolls were battered and deep fried. Today, the California roll I got had a mush of crab-like mixture the thinnest slice of avocado, rice and nothing else. The asparagus roll was raw asparagus wrapped in rice and seaweed. Nothing else. On the fence here...I was wanting Japanese and should've known the word "express" really meant "express"...this is like fast food Japanese. I mean, you walk up to the counter and order and pay, then they bring it to your table. Its served on Styrofoam. But it's actually not bad at all. Its not amazing or anything to write home about, but my expectations weren't high when I saw the counter and then the Styrofoam. Prices were decent. I had a California roll, a steak hibachi lunch and a soda and it ran about $13. Here's my main complaint: I went into the women's bathroom at the same time the guy who took my order went to the men's bathroom. The walls were thin so I could hear everything; he used the bathroom and never washed his hands. I walked out and he also walked to the front of the counter and began to wait on more customers. I had already eaten, and he didn't actually prepare food while I was there, so I guess it wasn't a big deal....still, a little off-putting. read more

In town for work and decided to have dinner with a few coworkers. It was pretty steady for a Friday night, but we were able to order and be seated immediately. They have tons of options to choose from, especially sushi. I got the Tornado roll - shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, topped with crab meat and eel sauce. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. So simple yet sooo delicious. Honestly, this may have been the best roll I've ever had in my life. I also got the chicken and shrimp hibachi with fried rice. The shrimp was meh (wouldn't order again), but the chicken was cooked perfectly. Rice was amazing - seasoned to perfection. The ginger salad dressing was also absolutely delicious. Service was super fast and friendly. The owner came out to our table several times to ask how we like the food and just make small talk. She is so sweet and welcoming.
