The simple reason I loved this: I'm a kid of the 90s and the Adventurers theme sets were some of my favorites ever. I hadn't even thought about them (the Egyptian sets, Amazon sets, etc.) until seeing my favorite characters Johnny Thunder and Pippin Reed hanging from the entrance. This was before LEGO had licensees and it was their version of Indiana Jones. You can tell this is one of the original attractions from when the park opened in 1999, the height of popularity of the Adventurers. It was like walking through the sets. The attraction is a scavenger hunt of sorts, find the hidden keys. There are moving elements and great lighting. For a kid, this would be pretty boring, there's little hands on. For an AFOL, the brick work and detail is amazing. The Egyptian funerary mask is beautiful, as are the hieroglyphic art. For me, it was a stroll down memory lane.

He is kind, thoughtful and went above and beyond without even so much as being asked. Definitely deserves a promotion at the very least. He is the type of employee you want to keep forever. Truly an AWESOME employee!

Rides: a variety from the calmer ones (riding in a jeep taking pictures of Lego dinos) to the more thrilling ones (coaster! Including the dino coaster for the smaller kids!). Lots to do! Attractions: lots of opportunities to build Legos and seeing them come to life! Ferrari build was a hit! Water park: the park was way bigger than I expected. It has multiple pools, multiple splash pads, multiple playgrounds with water features, a giant wave pool and a thrilling log ride, and more! You have to bring your own towels. Lockers are pricey. Food was hectic and a mess but there were plenty of food stalls and options. You could definitely spend many hours just at the water park. Aquarium: it's tiny but nice to be out of the sun, having a bit more calm. Good variety of sea creatures. A hit with the kiddos. Bathrooms: they were always very clean! Complaints: all the soda refill stations were out of ice by mid day and no one ever refilled them. And multiple machines were out of sodas at the same time. They need to refill these machines much more often. Food in the UFO food hall took forever. There is no height limit for this ride. But let me just tell you, that doesn't mean your young…read morechildren will be able to handle it. Our 2 year old was super excited but, once we were all surprised with how much of an initial dip you take at the top of the hill, he was mortified the rest of the ride. He did not have a good time. At. All. Beyond that, this is a short ride (you do get 2 trips around the track per ride) which means they can only accommodate a single train. That leads for a slower moving line that backs up very quickly. Honestly, I wouldn't wait longer than 30~40 minutes for this ride and even that is pushing it. It's quick and you're mostly going to just be turning in a counter clockwise direction, but overall it's a fine coaster. If you're looking for thrills at Legoland, your options are going to be slim but this one will have to be on your list. Just know you're going to be spending more time standing around waiting for the ride than you are on the ride itself.

Unfortunately, Wade didn't understand why he couldn't ride the Sky Patrol helicopters or the rescue vehicles at the Fun Town Police and Fire Academy, and went wild with frustration and envy. Thankfully, he got his kicks at Duplo Playtown, a region of Legoland designed for toddlers. We visited the theme park with another family, and my friend and I spent part of the afternoon in Duplo Playtown with our little ones while our husbands took the older boys on height-restricted rides. This was a great strategy. Wade loved the Legoland Express Train. We rode it four times, and he got mad every time it stopped. He finally moved on, though, because of all the other colorful distractions in Duplo Playtown. There were cars to sit in, playhouses to enter, structures to climb. Also, a cute jail. Wade spent like 15 minutes in a single house looking out the windows and happily declining to go down the slide. Much of this entertainment was lined up in front of an arcing row of shaded benches, ideal seating for lazy moms who want to hang out and maybe catch Pokémon on their phones (look, it was a Beldum Community Day). Duplo Playtown was fun for the kids and easy for us, a pleasant, relaxing stop in the middle of a very active day.

We have been coming to this water park the whole summer and it has been an amazing experience. If you come early, there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs to choose from. The water is usually warm and we usually battle with our kids cause they never want to go home. Our favorite part is the wave pool where you get to enjoy and relax on a wavy pool while laughing at your kids getting slapped by the wave near the shore. They're the ones who like being tossed around by the wave. We also like the water pad where the water squirts or creates multiple water arcs, and kids just run around and get wet. This is the place where parents can just sit or lay under umbrellas while watching their kids. We rented a cabana once when we had family guests from Texas. There was a breastfeeding baby so we thought, a cabana would be great, and it was. the server took us to our cabana and explained everything. You really do not need to go anywhere to get food. You just text your server what you want and the server will get the food for you. We also got two free Legoland towels and a huge Legoland bag. We'll be going back as soon as it opens again for the next summer. Totally worth it.

Well it turned out that the son came out on our day but it was still cold, mid-60's. Unfortunately Chime park side was closed. Forgot when I sold this park initially to him that LEGOLAND is geared towards the younger age. As is the water park, the slides and rides are on the smaller kid age. So it should be perfect for son sons age of 5, but he has been to larger water parks and rode the big thrilling rides. So he had fun there, but he said it's bay ride slides haha. Then add on to that the wind chills and temperature. Our waterpark adventure ended pretty quickly. We did however make the rest of the day in the theme park end. By the way to go to the water park you need to also have tickets for the theme park as it's inside the theme park.

Miniland's Star Wars section is unreal. Seven huge scenes from the films, all built from 1.5+…read moremillion LEGO bricks. Death Star trench run, Hoth with walking AT-ATs, Endor, Mos Eisley. The detail is crazy and most scenes have buttons for lights and movement. It's indoors with AC and you can spend forever spotting little details like Ewoks and R2-D2. My kid was obsessed. After riding the Ninjago ride, my daughter wanted to go on the Explorer River Quest. It was a walk on, with no wait time when we had went during the summer to Legoland, late July, in the morning. It's a water ride. The platform moves to get onto the ride, but it's slow. My daughter and I were on one of the vehicles. It was fun! I think the ride was close to 5 minutes or so? The river journey had plenty of large dinosaur themed Legos. It was a beautiful ride too with so many trees and flowers! I'm not sure if I would wait more than 30 minutes for this ride, but I am glad that we had a chance to try it out! We only rode it once during our 3 night stay at Legoland Castle Hotel.
