Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening to celebrate two birthdays. I made a reservation for a party of 7, but our table wasn't ready when we arrived, and we were seated next to another large group. I noticed two other large tables marked as reserved, so I was unsure why our table wasn't ready. That was a little disappointing. We ordered waters, drinks, appetizers, and mains. Unfortunately, it took a long time for both the drinks and food to come out, especially since there were only four other tables occupied in the restaurant. We started with the Paneer Momo (kothey style), Mutton Momo (kothey style), Aloo Chicken Roll, and Kah-Tahr Poleko (grilled jackfruit). I wish there was an explanation of each momo style on the menu, as it would have been helpful to understand the differences. The paneer momo arrived first and was quickly devoured by the table, it was really good. The grilled jackfruit was something different for me and reminded me of a grilled pineapple/meat-like texture, which was enjoyable. While I don't eat meat, I was told the aloo chicken roll was spicy. The mutton momo was also enjoyed by the table. For mains, we ordered chow mein, a tandoor platter, two butter chickens, one paneer tikka masala (medium spicy), and more than enough garlic naan. The butter chicken was enjoyed by the table. The paneer tikka masala was fine, but it was unbelievably sweet from the honey and had no spice at all. I wouldn't order it again. If I were to get it again, I would request butter paneer instead since the sauces were noticeably different. The paneer tikka masala was also very bright red, and our fingers turned slightly orange/red from the sauce, which made it seem like food coloring was added. That was disappointing. We were looking forward to the chow mein, but unfortunately, it never came out. The garlic naan was alright. It was thinner, less fluffy than expected, and slightly chewy. They did change the song for the birthday celebration and brought out two complimentary ice creams with birthday candles, which was a nice touch. Overall, since this is a Nepalese restaurant, I would stick with the momos and appetizers. Those were the highlights of the meal. read more

My husband, son and I love Indian food and were excited to try this place and add it to our list of local restaurant options when we're craving Indian flair and this place did not disappoint!! For an appetizer we got the chicken Momo platter and I loved all 4 options. I didn't get a picture of it but I got the chicken tikka kebab and it was great. My son is the adventurous type so he tried the Bhutan which is stir fried goat intestines. I actually tried it and I really enjoyed it. The flavors were amazing! I can't recall what my husband had but I know that we all enjoyed our food. I'm not sure what the business was before but they did a fantastic job transforming the space with its moody, dimly lit ambiance and thoughtful design choices. We came here on a random late Tuesday night. The vibe was chill. Honestly I didn't have very high expectations--but was blown away. We had the Momo sampler with chicken, butter chicken, and garlic Naan. The momo sampler (dumplings with your choice of protein or veg--prepared 4 ways (Fried, chilli style, pan fried, and steamed) with a total of 16 dumplings. The chilli oil had a great kick to it. Got in on a late flight and desperately needed a spot that was still open post-midnight. Luckily, Nimto stays open until 2 AM! We made it about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed at 1:30. Since it was so late, the thali sets weren't available, but we could still order everything else. The interior is actually beautiful and really well-designed, and despite how late it was, the servers were so friendly and nice to us. We loved the soup chicken momo and the fried version: the momos, the soup, and the achar were all great. The mutton sekuwa set was mostly a hit, especially the chatpate which had a really unique, delicious flavor. I'm only knocking off one star because the sekuwa itself wasn't my favorite taste-wise, but the vibe and the service were solid. Definitely coming back! read more

From the outside, you would not have been able to tell what it looked like on the inside! Across from NE Mall in a nearby shopping complex so there's plenty of parking. Very clean and plenty of seating. We ordered a few starters and shared the chicken Curry. Our waitress recommended the medium spice after we told her we ate spicy foods and I think we could've went with a bit spicier. The flavor was still pretty good! Oh my... This place is fantastic! When you enter, the smell is absolutely intoxicating. The ambiance is lovely, dark lighting and gorgeous wood interiors. The hostess at the front is extremely nice, she smiled the entire time. I just felt really at ease and comfortable when I walked in. We had called in a to go order and I was so looking forward to it. I haven't had a place near me that had paneer tikka masala in so long. I love it. But I was shocked that my favorite thing we ordered was the mild mixed fried rice (no goat). It was the best fried rice I've ever had. The bell peppers and onions mixed in gave it such a great flavor. I was instantly obsessed with it and sad that I had ordered it for my boyfriend. lol Luckily it's a massive portion, probably enough for three or four people. Even to go it was huge. Usually to go orders anywhere are a little smaller, but not here. The paneer was delicious. I wish I had ordered it with medium spice instead of mild, but I was afraid the boyfriend wouldn't try it. lol Everything about the experience was wonderful. The evening started great, although I was wondered why this restaurant was so empty at 8PM on a Saturday night. That became obvious as the meal progressed. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. The Aloo Chicken Roll app was outstanding. Then things took a turn. We ordered the Mutton Curry. When it arrived we tasted the Curry and it's flavor was wonderful. I tried my first piece of Mutton and it was a delight. Flavorful and tender, but that was it. Every other piece of "Meat" was nothing but fat, gristle and sinew along with both large pieces and shards of bone. It was inedible. There was virtually no meat on any of the pieces and almost every attempt to soak up some of the delicious sauce with Naan or rice resulted in picking sharp shards of bone out of our mouths. They obviously take a meat cleaver to the Mutton during preparation and don't think twice about all the bone shards they are introducing into the final product. When we brought this to the attention of the staff we were informed that in their culture they eat every part of the animal. Well, good for them, but that is not acceptable in our culture. They made no attempt to rectify the issue even after I very politely but emphatically made it clear how unhappy we were. The entire dish was nothing but trimmings that should have used in a stock or thrown away. If the owners are wondering why their restaurant is not busy, let this review make it very clear. If you are going to serve garbage to your customers, you will go out of business. read more

Awful service. I ordered lamb shanks and the server brought me ground lamb. When I said hey this is not what I ordered she started lying and saying oh it's the same thing they just cut it off the bone. Like seriously? And then when I asked for the manager she said he's not here. I could literally see the manager fixing the tvs and talking to the employees and taking orders. Went here for a late lunch with a friend and wanted to try a new place. Everything was excellent and enjoyed the meal. Ordered the chicken lollipop and aloo chop; they were both very good. For the entree, we ordered Butter Chicken and Biriyani Kay-Tar. Again, they were very good. The service is polite and a good place to sit, talk and eat. Not a rush-rush place which I was looking for. I saw they had some other tasty looking options in addition to the momo, so I indulged. Both the momo and the tikka masala were quite good, especially for such a late night order. Today was my first time visiting Nimto Restaurant & Bar and it was nice and clean restaurant. I like its clean ambiance. When we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we would like a table or booth. We choose the booth. The service was nice but little bit on the slow side. Both my roommate and I ran out of our water and the restaurant was not packed with customers. Our server did not suggest any food items or drinks. I ordered chicken lollipops as appetizers and then lamb chops and naan. My roommate ordered Keema mushrooms as appetizers and mutton curry and naan. The food came out in stages...first came the chicken lollipops, second came the mushrooms, third came the curry with naan and then lastly the lamb chops. So I was done with my appetizer when my roommate received his appetizer. My roommate was eating his mutton curry when I just received my lamb chops. The best dish was chicken lollipops. It was unique and delicious with the spicy sauce. The worst dish was the keema mushrooms. We will not be ordering that again. read more

The only reason for the lower rating than last time is because the giant screens everywhere playing college bball. A little distracting when we are having an intimate dinner. Amazing new place you should try! I ended up here on a whim. It's in a strip mall, but don't let the location fool you -- once you go inside it is a modern Himalayan gastro pub vibe. The decor is great and the food is even better. We had: *Gobi Manchurian (spicy) - had great texture and flavor. The green peppers and onions were cooked perfectly with a little sear on the outside, but still crisp on the inside. *Chicken Tikka Masala - really flavorful. The clove really came through the other flavors in a way I hadn't had from other restaurants. Pleasant surprise. *Garlic Naan - impeccably done. Crisp and savory just like you want. *Veggie Momo Jhol Style (spicy) - the star of the night. This dish is unlike anything I've ever had (in the best of ways). It was the perfect combination of savory, spicy, and fresh. I WILL be coming back to get them again. Other notes -- *They have an assortment of unique mixed drinks (with a few NA options as well). I didn't have any this trip, but plan on trying something next time. In addition to cocktails they also have wine and beer (but it wasn't on the drink menu). *They are listed as open until 2am every night, but I'm not sure how late the kitchen is open. *They have a stage for live music, but nothing was going on while I was there so I can't comment on the volume. *They had TVs showing basketball, but had music playing, so it didn't give a sports bar vibe (and didn't detract for me personally) Try them out! read more

I want to start with the positives: The food is good and the ambiance is quite nice, dim lighting and dark wood interiors would make such a cool drinking lounge to enjoy a weekend day. With two orders of butter chicken and a side of garlic naan for each, it was tasty. As for the negatives: The food was good, but it definitely wasn't worth the hour long wait we had to endure for it for takeout. I talk about the ambiance because during our time waiting I really had time to soak in the entryway hall and stare at the walls. I received no indication that the food would take this long from the hostesses, not even a "Oh that'll be about a half-hour" or whatever, a simple thing that could have influenced whether or not we decided to go through with this. This all comes as quite a disappointment as from all the positive reviews, I was hoping for far more, and considering this was a lunch for two at $45 I expected something exceptional. I'm immensely disappointed with my experience and won't be coming back. Even jokingly I can't figure out what took so long as there were exactly two other tables eating. Nimto opened on Wednesday 10/23/24. We came the following Monday. We have been very excited to see what Nimto was and man did this place not disappoint! As we walked in, the place is very beautiful. Employees said hello and greeted us right away. We were offered a booth or table and to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table at the end of the bar and by the stage. It was a great spot to see everything. The place is handsomely decorated, so trust me you want to enjoy it all. Our waitress was very pleasant the whole time and gave recommendations as what to order. So of course we didn't say no to anything. lol We ordered two cocktails off of the seasonal bar menu for Halloween and started with the Aloo Chicken Roll as an appetizer. The drinks were fruity and delicious and the appetizer was so good it was wild to think it was potato and chicken. The roll is a fried roll made out of fried potatoes with stuffed chicken served with a green tomato sauce. So flavorful and crispy. For our entrees we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Biryani with Tandoori Roti. Our waitress offered us three levels of spicy and we both chose the spiciest one. Glad we did because we love a good spicy dish. The Chicken Tikka Masala came with a big helping of rice and super flavored Tikka Masala. The Chicken Biryani came with spicy sauce and a tzatziki sauce on the side. Both dishes, the chicken was so flavorful and tender. Had to be some of the best Biryanis I've ever had. Would definitely order again. In the middle of our entrees we decided to order a Nimto Flight of Cocktails. You get to choose 4 out of the 6 options. Our favorites were the Khattimitthi Imli and the Paan Raas. The Khattimitthi was a good balance of flavors and made it very enjoyable to drink. The Paan Raas has a beautiful floral flavor from the Paan leaves. Very unique and balanced. For dessert we were offered the Beetroot Halwa. I actually like beets so I was very interested to try. Their take on beets is very interesting. The beets are sweet and served chilled in a coup glass with delicious halwa sauce. Management checked in with us twice and made sure we liked everything during our visit. I was impressed with all levels of customer service here. Overall, I am very impressed with Nimto and even more excited to have them here in my own backyard of Hurst. I can definitely see myself coming to enjoy dinner or even just a drink at the bar. The food was all very rich with different flavors that left my mouth watering and craving to plan the next visit. 10/10 would recommend. read more
