And what in the world are all these accoutrements for down the back? Comprehensive is the word to describe this place, and it must be an artist's heaven. It's nestled away just off Capel St and when you walk in, looks like it's just grown and grown over the years, with rooms opening up onto rooms which open up to even more rooms. They've got an incredible selection of paper, paint, drawing equipment, canvases, and anything else you could think of. At really reasonable prices. And the icing on the top? This shop does not fail at all when it comes to pleasing my obsession. as melanie said its only a small little shop but every bit of space is maximised to cram in as much stuff as possible. of course there is all the normal stuff that you find in an art shop, paints and pencils and coloured paper. this shop has a littleextra though, it has lots of little things that are great for small presents for children, there are little toys and jig saws and magents and little nick nack type things that are hard to find elsewhere. the staff in here are very helpful and know lots about the art materials on offer.

What a wonderful place!…read more I was here for a Yelp Elite event coming up to Christmas and I had the most fun out of any Yelp event I had ever been to. These guys cater to kids and adults and have pottery/art/design classes and private events for all occasions. I drew a mug with a vagina on it. Yes that's right. A vagina! "Vaginas Scare Me" It was a masterpiece. We did our class whilst drinking wine. It was so much fun. I would recommend this place not just for kids but for hens/stags, birthday parties etc. Such a novel idea and you can bring your own drink with you. Helena and the rest of the staff make you feel so welcome and are so much fun too.

What a way to spend an afternoon!!…read more This is the kind of thing that adults start off doing in a light-hearted, "ahh it's just a bit of fun" kind of way, but which you'll find very quickly turns into a much more concentrated and seriously-taken affair once people start noticing eachother's handywork.. The concentration gets to such a level that conversation more or less comes to a complete standstill, but you don't even notice because you're so engrossed in turning this little piece of pottery into a potential work of art, having just realised your life-changing passion for children's pottery-painting. We literally could have been there all day and night painting away, happy as can be, but unfortunately the lovely people who work here have lives to live outside of Giddy Studios. And when I say the staff were lovely, I mean SO lovely. They really couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, giving tips on how not to make a complete hames of our pottery pieces, and they steered clear of any condescending kid-friendly carry-on that you might expect from people who work with hyped-up children all day long. I would really recommend going to this place if you're trying to think of a fun, novel activity to do with friends; Go on, release your inner child pottery prodigy!

Dya know whats great about this shop?…read more well ill tell you what the shop is first i suppose, its a place that does printing and one of he things they print are those really nice canvas prints that are just like big canvas squares with your favourite picture on them. They turn out really well here for a reasonable price and the guys working here are really helpful and know their stuff too. Anyway on to the cool thing, well i think its cool and maybe a bit nerdy on my behalf! they have a ginormous printer and you get to see it all working! so cool!
