I love this place, a real gem for Kids toys, all aimed at promoting imagination and stuff.
I heard a woman talking to her six year old son in there and I have to say it was hilarious, the woman was pointing at a catalogue saying 'Is this one a T-Rex?'
Son horrified: 'No.'
Woman reasons: 'Well, how about just one T-Rex and two Velociraptors?'
He considers the deal carefully, 'Yeah, okay.'
I never get to have conversations like that, not one I know ever talks about Velociraptors, let alone barters with them. It's the first good argument for having kids I've heard in years.
The place is wall-to-wall brilliant stuff, like toy soldiers and finger paint and I think particular mention needs to go to a particular line of Brio toys they have.
They're a relaunch of some classic, mostly wooden toys like a simplistic gloss black race car or that dog that you drag along the floor on wheels. I think I used to have one of those dogs. I'd say savvier, older kids wouldn't be bothered but buy your baby one and you can play with it. If I wasn't there on my own I probably would have bought it for myself.
Nimble Fingers are Irish owned and have been here for donkey's years.
Yeah, pure awesome, five stars. read more
