I've been going there for about three years and in that time have had to go in twice for fillings. Both times, I have not been given enough novocaine and have felt the drill. When I mention this, he acts like it's my fault he has to give me another shot. This past time, I actually had to have three old fillings refilled. Now, a week later, two of my teeth are hurting and I have filling residue on the side of my tooth. So I have to go back in to have a routine procedure rechecked. Regarding teeth cleaning. I've had about three different dental hygienists clean my teeth and two have been efficient, but very un-nice. One is so friendly and now I make sure to always make my appointment with her. In conclusion, I would not go to Dr. Anderson for any major dental work and really wouldn't recommend going to him for even a simple filling.

We are both transferring (I and my elderly mom) to this practice after having to quit Creve Coeur Dentistry due to several disrespectful and dishonest encounters there in the 4 months since our dentist left that practice. Just like other reviews, he was humming a tune nearly the entire time, making funny comments and his staff genuinely also seemed to enjoy their work and were so very nice! The office is bright & fairly modern in the exam areas, and I really like that they have computers right there to show your x-rays right away. But sorry, no TVs like some of the other dentists in the area, but that's OK with me. They do have music on speakers, though. The cleaning and exam were very thorough and I didn't feel like the Dr. was rushing off to another patient - he took his time and talked to me and reviewed everything, making me feel like a valuable patient.

I was able to fill out my new patient work from their website, which saved me time. I don't think I waited a whole minute before they called my name. Once I was in the chair, they started right away.....There is a lot to be said for a doctor's office that you do not have to wait...at all! I am not sure how they do it, but it was the most comfortable dentist experience ever; my mouth/lips did not feel weird after wards, because they were so gentle....more so than when I floss my own teeth! They explain everything they are doing, what they are looking for etc....although you are in and out in a timely manner, they do not rush. I rarely wait more than five minutes to be taken back to the hygienist. I never feel rushed and if I have any questions, they take the time to answer thoroughly. I now have insurance as well so I researched dentists on the insurance website. I located a dentist in my plan and called the office, only to learn that this dentist had retired and Dr. Burgdorf was now practicing in this location. I scheduled my new patient appointment and was able to get in within 3 weeks. I read the reviews the morning of my appointment and found them to be quite favorable so I was feeling very comfortable with my choice. After arriving and being greeted very warmly by Amy, Linda, the hygienist, walked me through the initial portion of the exam with a very thorough explanation. When Dr. Burgdorf arrived in the exam room he greeted me in a very warm manner as well and explained every step of the way in a positive and supportive way. He was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. I had told him that it has been a long time since I was seen by a dentist and it was largely due to embarrassment of the condition of my teeth. He assured me that this was a judgment-free office and his job was to help me achieve my dental goals. I have a lot of work ahead of me but I feel very confident that it is going to result in amazing dental work in place and a lifelong dentist. I even brought home information to my daughter to encourage her to schedule an appointment for her needs.
