I even asked about removing the tooth and was repeatedly dismissed. Finally, I sought a second opinion. Turns out the tooth was fractured and infected all along and should have been pulled from the beginning. Now I'm dealing with an abscess and a much bigger problem than I started with. Those were some of the many questions lurking inside my head when I needed to find a new dentist. I honestly went to one just a few blocks from this office a week or two before coming here. I had my cleaning there and heard some rude comments by the dentist (not addressed to myself but to another patient). Still, that comment made me not want to go back there. Luckily, I searched around, found this place and I've been happy since! I started seeing Dr. Ahmad-Majeed in September initially for a second opinion about all the work my new/former dentist wanted to do after meeting for the first time. I explained to her my fear of going to the dentist and that if it's true that we truly do need to replace several fillings that I would appreciate it if we do it at a pace I am comfortable with. I also had a crown that supposedly needed replacing prior to coming here which she then confirmed to be correct but again, she let me choose when I would be comfortable enough to get the work done. She even offered some anxiety medication but I refused since my anxiety level is really not that unmanageable. She started doing some of the dental work that needed done from around October and finished everything by November. I know it sounds like a lot but they were 3 fillings that needed redone and a new crown. The procedures were spaced out nicely though so I didn't feel too anxious during every visit. The procedures went smoothly and Dr. Ahmad-Majeed had always made sure that I was comfortable during them and wasn't in any unbearable pain. She willingly gave me breaks when I needed them especially when she was working on my fillings. I came back today to get my 6-months cleaning and met Carolyn who is a dental hygienist at the office. She was also very friendly and kept asking me if I was doing okay throughout the cleaning process. I had one area which was sensitive and she quickly became aware of it from my wincing. She also explained why I have sensitivity issue on that area and offered some ways to alleviate the issue. Overall, I like this dental office and I've had a wonderful experience here. I know dental work can never truly be a wonderful experience but it can be made better by the attitude of the people doing the work. In this case, it's very true for me!

What was offered was not as good as the coverage I already have. Two years later and I finally got around to selecting a new dental practice. Lindenwood Dentistry has a great location in the Schnuck's center across from Lindenwood University in St. Charles. The staff are very personable and helpful. They use a combination of digital x-rays and photographs and refer to them regularly during procedures. The result is the most thorough and well explained examination I've ever had. They even did a couple of composite fillings on my first visit and the cost was VERY reasonable. The doctor who performed the procedures isn't listed yet on their website, but I believe his name is Dr. Schaumberg (sp?), young, but professional and knowledgeable. I can't recommend him highly enough. The same goes for Lindenwood Dentistry, itself. They are new and still taking on new patients. If you're looking for a dentist, I think you will be happy with them too.

This office has very good dental staff, BUT their billing side is terrible!!! We are required to…read morepay for services up front before insurance is billed. My wife and I were both overcharged with mine being $220.00 over and my wife was being overcharged by over $700.00 which is a 120% overcharge. Then when we were told by the office billing dept that it takes 2 to 3 months to receive a refund for our overpayment even though they have already received payment from our insurance company. So they now hold our money for a period of time and draw interest while we are waiting for our refund. We also requested a pre-determination be done on her claim and was told they had done that but after consulting with the insurance, we found out it was that it was never done. So this office is either completely incompetent or just flat out dishonest.
