If you're looking for a gentle, relaxing massage, Nikki's Spa is probably not the place for you. This was an intense deep-tissue massage, and there was definitely some pain involved, but it was SO worth it! When I arrived, Nikki asked where I was experiencing pain. She worked deeply into the area, then used a scraping tool followed by cupping. She's tiny, but SO strong! I definitely looked like I had gotten into a minor car accident afterward, but the results made it completely worth it. I went in with hip flexor pain that was so bad I couldn't bring my knee to my chest without a sharp pain at the end of the movement. By the end of the massage, I could bring my knee all the way to my chest without the hip flexor pain and my knee pain was gone too! I'm honestly shocked by how much better I felt afterward. I'll definitely be going back, and I think the prices are completely worth it for the results! read more

First and foremost, Nikki's Spa is a "legitimate" massage place. There are relaxing massages and then there are therapy massages that are on a much higher level. Just about every place offers relaxing massages but I needed a therapy massage - and Nikki delivered! Nikki's Spa should be called, "Nikki's House of Healing" because she has magic hands. She can tell you more what's going on with your body than any doctor or lab report. I over-extended myself playing basketball with "jumpers knee" and knee hyper-extension. After a month of the healing process, my knee and calf still had some lingering pain and strain going up & down my stairs - but 90 minutes with Nikki made it all go away. The therapy massage is not just the typical deep tissue massage (that I don't particularly like). I explained my problem areas and Nikki's magic hands found areas I didn't know were concerns but immediately felt it when she was working her magic. Nikki covers the sciatic nerve, lymph nodes and the blood flow of the body for better health. If you have back pain, knee pain, sciatic pain, diabetes or migraines - let Nikki work her magic before deciding on surgery or meds. Overall, this wasn't just a massage, it was pure physical therapy and preventative maintenance needed on my body. Nikki is truly a miracle worker. No matter where you live, it's worth the drive to Nikki's Spa. read more

I've been going to Nikki consistently for over 5 years & I keep coming back because she's amazing. It's not a fancy place so don't come in here expecting a spa like experience. She gots the job done & helps with my recovery every time. I overwork my body daily and coming to her helps with my recovery. I enjoy the pain, deep tissue, and cupping. She might not be for everybody but def for those who need deep tissue or have pain. She is one strong little lady! Love her! read more

I read the reviews and decided to take a chance on a new spot. I was able to make an appointment the same day, which was nice. The owner is very pleasant. In reviews, people mentioned that she gives a DEEP tissue massage, and it's true. I was a little nervous, because I was in pain. She was considerate of my sore spots. Did it hurt? A little, but it was tolerable. Nikki respected my requests to avoid some areas that were too sensitive. Interesting fact-as she massaged my shoulders, she asked if it hurt. I hadn't mentioned that fact-she was right. Great massage. read more

Nikki was amazing. She did a full body on me and was very nice. Not only does she do relaxing massages but she will do repair massage/stretches on you. And for the price, it was great! read more

This place was recommended by my jiu-jitsu gym-mates. They've been talking a big hype about Nikki, and how she heals them in the worst way (pun, but you'll get it at the end of this review). And she lives up to the hype. Just a warning about this review: I'm not trying to scare anyone, and everyone's pain tolerance differs, and I'm sure she goes as hard as you 'let' her, that being said: I endure all the (temporary) pain she brings, because I know the after effects benefits me. It's equivalent to working out hard and consistent for a while, like it really sucks to workout very hard, but the end results is what your after and it pays off. Nikki is extremely strong in her hands. And she goes in deep with her elbows. Like if she is massaging you back, it feels like she is trying to reach your chest, via going through your back. You have meaty muscles? She'll get through those, like she's trying to massaging beneath your muscles. She also does scraping on my injured shoulders. The pain is unreal, but again, the results are amazing for me, as I keep my athletic exercises (BJJ and CrossFit). It feels like she's trying to scrap your skin off with a spoon. Next comes the cupping. For me she puts a lot and it's heavy cupping on my skin. It feels like she's trying to drain the blood out through my pores. Again: these are my experiences, I only come here if I need something fixed, it's not an enjoyable massage where you sleep during, but you'll sleep great that night and all you muscle pains will be gone. I usually go there because of my shoulders. It'll go from messed up, tight, can't do full rotations, to where it feels like I have a brand new shoulder after her service. If my job allowed me, I'd take a gummie right before her service, or a shot of liquor. Nikki is the best. I usually recommend her to my jiu-jitsu or athletic friends. But I'm sure anyone can benefit from this type of massage. read more

I've been coming to Nikki for about 7 years now. Before she got her own location, I had been following her because she understands my body. She may be small, but she is strong! Definitely want to communicate your pain tolerance level in advance if you can't handle it. I see her every two months and always walk out feeling new again. Schedule in advance since she is always booked with appointments. read more

Nikki was a nice lady. Bestie and I both choose the one hour hot stone massage. Once I got in and Nikki started working she recommended coining and cupping. I agreed and she continued massaging. If you haven't tried coining and cupping before it is different from a traditional massage. Make sure to be ready for marks left on your body after she's done. This is not the first for me but it is the first I've had it done where I would need long sleeve clothings if I want it to be covered when going out. Nikki is pretty strong for small woman. Her deep tissue pressure was just perfect for me. If you like deep tissue massage Nikki is the one you want to go see. Hoping to feel better soon with less body aches and all the redness goes away soon. read more

Nikki is great at what she does. She's very knowledgeable about her techniques. I've sent my dad and my mom to her and several family members. I had a really bad shoulder pain from setting at my desk all day long and she was able to get all the knots and tension out. She's very strong and a definite go to spot of you need to get those kinks out. read more

Nikkis nothing short of Excellent! Excellent Massage therapy options @ a various pricepoints! My experience yesterday was 10/10! Arrived with lotsa aches and spasms but felt Significantly better after a 90min Deep Tissue massage with hot stones and cupping. Highly Recommended! read more

Strong, aggressive, not afraid to dig deeeep into your muscles. These are all words to describe Nikke, the petite asian lady that runs this place. I'm so serious, she is NOT afraid to get up in there when massaging you. This is a functional massage. Do NOT expect to relax and fall asleep. Expect to feel deep deep tissue pressure with vigorous movements. She asks you where you're hurting and she gets to work! Without asking, she has stepped and walked on my back, and has thoroughly massaged all parts of my aching glutes. She effectively reaches those muscles that you can't really get to on your own (hamstrings, inner thighs, upper back, and yes glutes). When massaging you, she really puts her back into it and you can feel it. At times, it is painful, and I scream inside of my mind for her to stop! But when she is done, the area feels so much better. Any tightness just melts away. No pain no gain! read more

I have weekly chiropractor visits and don't often injure myself, but today, my lower back pain is severe and I need to get a massage. The only name on my mind was "Nikki!"! I only saw her one time in late 2020 for shoulder pain and she really dug in there and helped me. She has VERY strong hands. I just realized that I didn't do a proper review for her last time, and she deserved it! On my way back to her now. I'm sorry for anyone here in pain, but this wonderful woman can help. p.s. I forgot to say that Nikki's place is small, clean, and soothing. It's best to call her and make an appointment first. Often, she can see you the same day. read more

Best massage if you need deep tissues or more focus on an area! The owner is nice & accommodating !

Wow! Thanks to the prior Yelpers who led me to Nikki. First off, if you only want a Swedish massage where the masseuse gently sweeps over the superficial layers of tissue while you nap, avoid this place at all costs. If you're looking for funny business with a happy ending you can go elsewhere too. I've seen the golf club this lady keeps around for self-defense lol. In this cozy massage parlor lives the tiny Nikki, who while diminutive at below five feet is nevertheless an unlikely terror with hands of steel. Do not underestimate this woman! Come here if you are a devotee of deep tissue lymphatic massage. She makes unique use of hot basalt stones, using them to work out tough knots and problem spots for a truly therapeutic experience. Get the 90 minute with hot stones - a steal at $90 because this allows her enough time to do the lymphatic drainage massage, find your problem spots and then come back for second pass to work on those spots with the hot stones. She will let you know if you need cupping or scraping (traditional Asian methods of chronic pain relief) also included in the cost. She worked for 17 years as a masseuse and even in her native Vietnam as a budding massage student she had a reputation for being tough on knots. Her classmates were a little scared of her lol. She's an expert at finding all the worst spots. If you can endure the depth of her deep tissue massage you'll leave feeling lighter, relaxed, and will sleep deeply. Be forewarned that her English is not her first language, so don't expect a Chatty Cathy. This isn't a massage at the Four Seasons. This is therapeutic massage that will be somewhat unpleasant but afterwards you'll feel great. The results last for two weeks and are additive if you have repeated sessions. Each time I've come back my pain lessened as she promised. Chronic pain relief ftw!! Pro tips: 1) drink plenty of warm water after to flush out all the metabolic wastes and go straight to bed for the best sleep. 2) allow ten days for cupping marks to fade away 3) Just say "ow" or pull back and she'll know to ease up on the pressure read more

Nikki looks petite , but she got good set of hands. Feel better after the massage.

My sister and I came here on a whim because I had hurt my lower back the day prior at the gym. They were the only ones accepting walk ins on a busy Saturday. Tammy was super nice (she felt like she was my Vietnamese auntie) and immediately got to work and thus started the most painful hour of my life. She quickly identified my pain from the gym and even found some trouble spots leftover from a car accident I got in a year ago. She left me crying! Lol But after she worked her magic, I could stand up straight again. A lot of tension and pain that I had gotten used to started to disappate. I've been countless massage therapists in Los Angeles to help with my back and neck post-accident and Tammy did the most effective job of them all. She was wonderful! I will be coming back for a final treatment (per her recommendation) and bringing my mother too, who suffers from chronic pain! read more

I feel badly that I can't continue the 5 star ratings, but my review is a warning to others. I have had deep tissue massages in town, Southern California, Bay Area and Las Vegas. Some have been better than others, but NONE of them left me hurting, bruised and with less mobility in my shoulder than when I went in. I never asked for cupping, but I think she did it to mask the purple bruises that I was developing. I told her to go easier on my shoulders and neck, but she said I needed it to bring the toxins to the surface of my skin. She then took out her phone to show me pictures of others that had been "detoxified". These people looked like they had been run over by a truck. I wouldn't be so harsh, if she only listened to me. You'd think me crying and yelling in pain would be a hint. read more

Made a very spur of the moment appt. for my mom for her birthday and she accomodated me. She said Nikki was great and knew what she was doing. She got a hot stone & cupping 1 hour massage. Place was very clean inside. She can't wait to go back and I want to try myself. Price was very reasonable. read more

This place is really close to my house and I saw that it had a few good reviews, so I had to see what it was all about. My initial impressions is that it was nice and clean. I got a really good deep tissue massage. Which was painful but it felt good, but there were some moment where I slightly winced in pain. And I feel like i have a fairly high pain tolerance.... Overall I'm quite pleased. $45 for a hour, and I feel like I got my monies worth. Good service and Nikki is a nice lady. Will definitely be coming back again. read more

Warning: if you cannot handle deep tissue massage, don't even bother to call her! Nikki is one of the best deep tissue masseuse I've ever experienced. This isn't your Arden Hills Spa retreat, but you will leave feeling less tense and your knots beaten the shit out of. Her prices are extremely low for the work she puts in to helping your knots and aches. Don't be fooled by her petite appearance. Those are some iron arms and fingers! Also, be forewarned if you do not want to be "coined" (google if you don't know what this is) let her know or else she'll coin the shit out of you and you'll look like you got whipped. I'm an instant regular now. No, I don't like or condone abuse, but I do appreciate my chronic shoulder pains gone. :) read more

Probably the best massage Didn't ask for her name. Told her my shoulder and back was in pain. She went right into it. The massage was really strong , I really like it. One other thing is she is professional, not much chatter unlike some other places where they want to make a conversation for the whole hr. The massage was painful, but the next day , I felt so much better. read more

I had the best massage by Nikki. WOW did she go in on my neck and shoulder pain! I have NEVER experienced such relief after a massage before. She used a hot stone on my face that surprisingly brought so much relief to my neck!!. I will be coming back! read more

Nikki had a great deep tissue massage and as a first timer with hot stones she did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and taking care of all my problem areas. I had knots in my back muscles that were bothering me for weeks and her pressure was good and firm to work them out but not too painful for me. I will go see Nikki again when my back starts to ache again! Thank you Nikki!! read more

I have gone to many places for massage, tried different people, but Nikki by far is the best! I personally like "deep" tissue and I have had a hard time finding any experience that helped me feel relief from my aches and pains until I met Nikki. It was tough at first as she really worked through my hurting muscles... I was crying out in pain in the beginning, but I put my trust in her and her techniques have really worked for me. I've been going to her regularly for over a year now and I am to the point where I feel like my body is so much stronger and less aching. She has really helped me and I really don't want to share her with anyone else. Ha! Love her though, she is awesome!! :) read more

First time here with my husband and we had a good experience. The spa is located in the far park right side of the plaza, which was a little eerie since we had a later appt. When we first walked through the doors there was no one there to greet us. We stood in front of the door in a small narrow waiting area for a couple mins until Nikki came up to greet us. She showed us to our room where we had the couple's massage for $100 so $50 each which is a great price compared to many. The ambience of the room was serene and dim they were playing some relaxing outdoor sounds. After telling us to undress to our comfort, we get a knock on the door and two middle age asian ladies came in and started out massage. They asked what our preference of level of pressure and if we had any pain that needed to be addressed. The two ladies where very nice but I forgot their names. The massage started out very nice and mid massage the ladies started asking us questions like what's our profession and ethnicity which is fine but it got awkward when they started asking about out home life. We had the last appt of the night and felt a little rushed bcos I understood the ladies talking in vietnamese and they were having a conversation of what they had to do when they get home and that it was getting late. All in all it was a good massage and we may think about booking another session possibly earlier in the day. Our massues were very good with pressure and in getting out the hard painful knots. read more
