It doesn't cost money to join their reward program. I say good prices. The store is clean and well organized. They have other sporting equipment for sale. This is the first Decathlon in Metro Vancouver. I have been to a Decathlon in other places in the world before so this brand is not new to me.

Staff is friendly, they help us with any questions we might have like what cut to get for our skates for beginner and intermediate level. They have packages for skate sharpen which helps save some $$$. If you regularly get your skates sharpen then you may want to purchase their package. They also helped answering questions in regards to insoles..they are quite knowledgable. The equipment they carry are also reasonably priced and the owner only buys equipment that he believes in. If you want friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you with your skates or hockey in general, then this is the place for you.

As we are both new to the sport, we had no idea what kind of bat, helmet shoes to get. We got the help we needed, paid and left. As soon as we got home, my daughter took the plastic wrap off the bat and put everything inside. Wife told me that the team provides bats, so we don't need one. Went back to the store, not even 30 min to return the bat and they tell me that I can't return it because the plastic wrapper is off. So now it's a used bat and they can't resell it. I had the receipt and bought it with 30 min, they said again "Sorry, the plastic wrapper is off, can't return it. " If you ever buy anything here, be sure it's perfect. Had no idea there was a no return policy for this place. I would advise to shop where they have a return policy.

The guy working here was super friendly and helpful, the products seem reasonably priced (what I wanted was actually cheaper than on Amazon, plus buying here supports a local business), and the location is convenient to bike/Skytrain/drive. The guy there ( I regret not getting his name!) got us all sorted out, showed us gear in a range of prices, explained options, showed us how to size the gear and honestly was so genuine. I never once thought that this guy is just trying to make a sale, he was committed to making sure we walked out happy - and we sure did! When ringing everything up he was even able to work up a bit of a discount for us - and gave my son a free ball. This store is about a 45 min drive from where we live and I will 100% be going back, totally worth the trip.

I explained my lack of success…read morewith catching fish, and he asked about my setup and noted that I was doing a bunch of things wrong and that was likely contributing to my lack of success. He showed me the technique and reasoning behind the proper setup along with the proper sized tackle. At no point was he overly pushy in selling his products which I appreciated. He mentioned that he takes some clients to local lakes to teach them to fish, so that might be something I'll try next if I'm still not getting any bites. Great knowledge and customer service!
