Even the bathrooms are incredible. Seriously. Even if you don't need to use the restroom while you're there, check them out. I've also attended a couple of public events there. One comedy show and one trivia night. The comedy show was great! For $25, I got a drink and a decent night of entertainment. The only thing I didn't like was having to sit at a round table with 6 strangers - it was awkward, and round tables are just not useful for this kind of event. The other event was trivia night. This time I went with a large group, so we had a table all to ourselves. We shared some awesome pizza prepared by the chef at the venue. The trivia was not great, however. The person leading the games was boring and had a hard time pronouncing some of the more important words. Plus, it was just a poorly curated set of questions, and poorly worded questions. Everyone in my group agreed that we would not be back for another trivia night. But I would definitely return for comedy or another type of entertainment.

During our trip we saw farming fields, wildflowers, and wildlife! A fleeting white-tail deer, a ring-neck pheasant racing us along the tracks as we trundle along to the state park. Absolutely worth the time and price. They make two stops in the park: 1) On-A-Slant Historical Mandan Earth Lodge Village 2) Fort Abraham Lincoln They leave the station in town at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm. They leave the park at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, and 4:30. (don't miss the 4:30!) Your best bet is to take the 1pm out to the park, and get off at the stop at the fort. Then head over to the commissary building and pick up your interpretive passes (100% worth it). These passes will grant you access to the living history tours at the Custer House and the On-A-Slant Village. The Custer House tours are given every half hour. The On-A-Slant Village tours begin in the interpretive center, and are given every hour on the hour.

PROS: -Really friendly employees, everyone is happy to help/service you. -Great variety of party supplies. -Really awesome, clearance section (there is so much clearance for like $0.25, amazing). CON: -The aisles when I went were being restocked, which kinda sucked having to navigate around all the workers restocking and moving everything. Additionally, there was like half empty aisles and boxes everywhere. I am sure it will be fixed up and I usually have a pleasant time here!

They are also one of the major costume mecca's in town around halloween. My favorite is their party supplies. They have quite a few options for birthday parties for children and adults. I even got some sweet bachlorette party supplies there. Their balloon section is pretty cool too. I just got my husband some angry bird balloons for this birthday and they made it SO cute! The bigger balloons are between $8 - $10 a balloon and I usually have them fill in with just some random regular balloons too.

Megan was incredibly easy to work with and provided all of the best vendors and options for the special day. We ended up going all out with the glamping/boho chic decor, pops of pink, a mimosa bar, two tiered cake, balloon arch, the works. This day was beautifully decorated and she even did tear down! She made this experience the absolute possible best and really helped bring my vision to life! I'm thankful to have found Behind the Scenes Events, 10/10 would recommend!!
