They were very dishonest about their service from the start. Let me start by addressing the fact that my mother was air med from Louisiana to California, and it was critical that everything was in place before the transport would take place. They lied to the hospital about the equipment being in place just to get the business. The representative had me to tell the hospital that the equipment was in place, due to them promising me that the equipment would be in place hours before my mother would arrived to Ca. They said in doing so, my mother's transport would not be delayed. In the meantime, my mother was transported, hours later, and her wound vac, and the wound vac would not be delivered until days later. It was vital that the wound vac was in place to continue to extract the fluid from my mother's wound, which was a stage 4 ulcer. instead, the wound was collecting excessive fluid, which could have made the wound more susceptible to developing an infection. When we received the wound vac; it was not working properly. also, the prescription formula that was required for my mother's wound did not arrive, and two weeks later my mother still have not received. They supplied her with the over the counter formula. I'll explain below. I have had to deal with the wound vac issues, as well as my mother not receiving her proper tube feeding formula for two weeks. I felt like once my mother was accepted into their organization the caring went south. I had to contact the wound care company and the company that supply her feedings to rectify the problems myself to get results. They shared with me that Paramount was not submitting the proper information that they had been requested weeks ago prior to me calling. When they shared this with me; i was in disbelief how the company could be so negligent with the service that they should be providing to my mother. They need to hire qualified employees that are knowledgeable in these crucial areas. I would also like to share that the nurse would be hours late. For e.g. The nurse would say that he would arrive at 4:00 and he wouldn't show up until 9:30, over 5 hours later. When I reported it to the representative who lied about the equipment being installed, shared with me that the nurse should never come to a patient's house that late, unless requested by the patient; and that all nursing visits should be done by 5:00. The other issue i would like to share is that they will not supply me with enough supplies. My mom would have multiple bowel movements, due to the tube feedings. They would only send out one pack of wipes, one pack of pads and a small box of gloves when I questioned them about the lack of supplies being sent; there reply was, they didn't have any in their warehouse. They never ever supplied us with enough supplies even when they were fully stocked. In closing, we requested to be signed up with another company. They shared with me that their company was small. Although, the company is small, they should have never chosen to take on more patients than they were equipped to care for. I think the company need to hire more help, and make sure they are hiring compassionate people that are there for your loved one and not for the money. This company seemed to have been all about collecting from medical (California). Remember, the equipment rental, food, and medicine is paid for by Medicare and Medical. I hope my experience with this company has enlighten you. I rate this company with a 1 star. They really need to improve their services before taking care of anyone's loved one.

I find myself torn between keeping a strong face and tears often. Sometimes you simply need others who can help carry the burden of loss. My beautiful friend deserves patience, love, and dignity. I feel good knowing we have someone who isn't afraid to speak about the hard truths, while completely allowing us to make the decisions that are right for our family. The team at Paramount is amazing. The nurses I met were completely focused on the wellbeing of their patients. I think one of the best things we did was find a hospice provider early in our journey. I feel empowered and educated to handle what is coming.

We didn't want to give in, but there did come a time when it was emotionally too much for us to handle. My Grandmother, Lucy, had dementia and Parkinson's and eventually needed round the clock care. My Mother and I being overwhelmed finally decided we needed to consider homecare. We called and met with many different Care Providers in the area and finally found that Delta Home Care would be the best route to go. Why you ask? We never once felt like "just another client" but treated more like family. We were able to meet caretakers before we decided to go with Delta and the rates were more than just competitive they were more affordable than any other company we contacted (about half a dozen). Home care for your loved one isn't something we ever wanted to go around and find the cheapest bidder, its a human life. But not only did they help save us money they made my Grandmother feel special, loved, cared for and in the most professional manner from day 1. They really went above and beyond to find us caretakers that suited our family's needs. As well as us dealing with Delta, they were always prompt in all manners of communication in any and all matters we needed to discuss. The Stanford Court Nursing Facility recommended Delta Home Health Care and hired this company to assist me. I was required to have 24 hour care, 7 days a week for approximately a month. Many of the caregivers that were send to assist me were unqualified and would change daily. I felt like my home had a revolving door. because of the seriousness of a wound that I had it was necessary to change bandages at least twice a day. The company could not hold on to any one qualified caregiver for over a few days. In the end they tried to overcharge me for services of a nurse that was contracted. After their group left my home I found many things missing, including a diamond ring that was left to me by my mother at the time of her death. Since I could not prove who had taken it, I send an test message to the contact I was dealing with and she did not respond. He group was the only people in my house that I did not know, I still find things missing but now it's been over as year and a half, I can't do anything but warn others of this companies practices. Beware....demand the same people....demand to interview who will be your care given.
