They were extremely knowledgeable about every area we traveled through, sharing history, tips, and local insights that made the trip feel special and personal. We knew we wanted to take an excursion from St. John and luckily, our resort (Ritz Carlton Club) was able to find us the perfect trip with Chris. We departed our hotel (with our own drinks and snacks), coolers, towels, diving/snorkel gear were provided. Chris also coordinated going through customs at British Virgin Islands, our first stop were the Baths. It was an amazing ride with the beautiful waters, scenic shorelines, and awesome captain. Chris is not only a skilled captain but a great tour guide having grown up and spending a lot of time in this region. He pointed out the top beaches and a lot of other landmarks along the way. We spent time navigating through the Baths (I suggest water shoes as the ground was fairly hot and some of the rocks, nooks, and tunnels you have to go through are pretty challenging for the some of us. We touched many of the other islands like Tortola, Virgin Gorda, and had lunch at the Soggy Dollar with Chris. Chris is personable, professional, and has a 'good seaside manner'--very skilled at the helm. Loved this trip, Chris and Local Legend made it one of our most memorable travels.

Both trips we've taken with Caribbean Blue have been the highlight of the water time on vacation! We have done a group catamaran snorkel excursion and while fun in its own way, for the money, and size of our family (5 and 9) the true better value is with a private charter: more time on the water, more time in the water and waaaaay less clumsy landlubbers trying to figure out which end of the snorkel goes in their mouth and how to get their feet in the fins....... Make sure you stop for lunch at Limeout! There's something magical about floating at the taco bar. The food is unbelievably delicious and not what you'd expect from a floating restaurant in Coral Bay. The staff really are prompt and efficient at keeping the spilled food around you cleaned up! I'd highly recommend not forgetting hooded swim shirts for your day on the water. Sunscreen is not as effective as one would expect and the level of sunburn is what you'd probably receive if you were trapped in the alien tractor beam! I do know that if Capt. Spence had a stash of shirts for sale onboard we might have bought them all! If you're heading to STT and want to make forever memories book with Caribbean Blue! Hearing squeals of laughter from your kids when the boat is underway and getting blasted with salt spray while taking it all in from the stern seat sitting next to your wife is a parental joy that is on par with when you were Santa's helper when your kids were 3-10 years old. Yep, the feeling is that good! Even when you're getting fitted for the red suit that you won't be able to take off for 7-10 days.

We booked a private charter for a group of 7 and Sonic charters gave us the best day on the island…read more The captain gave us some suggestions for a snorkeling excursion and took us to some of his hidden gems. We stopped by a beach for lunch and did some sight seeing with caves where he told us some stories about the attractions. The level of accommodation was also stellar as he was able to be flexible with our needs. Some of our friends were sea sick and requested to be dropped off a beach to relax and picked up later. The captain planned our day around that and helped to keep time of when we would go pick up our friends. The coral reefs were so vibrant and we saw so many fishes in the ocean. The captain made us feel safe that he has our back in case we swayed too far from the boat or needed help. I am not a swimmer but the boat had noodles and life jackets that he did not mind taking out and putting away as we went about our day. I appreciated how respectful the captain was about the island and the rules implemented such as reef safe sunscreens, no touching the turtles and so on. We had a great time and learned a thing or two! Towards the end of the trip a friend realized he had forgotten something on the boat and sonic charters helped us locate the boat and captain to retrieve it. Coming from nyc, it would have been long gone but glad we got it back. We had a great time, I would recommend them for anyone visiting and want their own boat to get away from the crowds.

The most guests they take per outing is 12 and our group totaled 9- it was so nice to not have an overcrowded boat filled with people and you wait to get into the water for so long. Not with our group- we quickly were able to get snorkel gear and head into the water to see some really cool groupings of coral and fish along with a turtle at the first spot that swam within ONE foot of me. We even saw Barry the barracuda situated under our boat. Remember though- you should NEVER REACH OUT AND TOUCH AQUATIC LIFE OF ANY KIND just because you want to and are curious. You do not have permission to handle, touch, or step on anything! We got some amazing video using our water proof phone cases. Book with Joe and Catie- you absolutely will NOT regret it! Their pick up site was just a short walk away from where we got off the ship. Our family of 11 were the only people on board and the price was less than if we had booked from the excursion choices. We had a personalized cruise with Catie and Captain Joe. They felt going to Water Island off of Honeymoon Beach would give us a great first snorkel experience for our grandkids, as there are so many turtles there. They were correct! Turtles galore, plus Eagle Rays, remora fish, a box fish and many smaller fish were seen. We snorkel often and loved it just as much as our family. We had the Moana soundtrack playing while having snacks and drinks, got plenty of pictures, and snorkeled in and out of the boat for hours. Book this 1/2 day months ahead to make sure to get a spot. These machines are no joke either modern Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet skis that'll absolutely fly across the water if you let them. Next thing you know, we're out there like a couple of overgrown kids checking off a bucket-list item I normally wouldn't splurge on. Another couple pulled up beside us and suddenly it turned into what felt like the Caribbean Grand Prix. Hard banking turns, hopping wakes, spraying each other with rooster tails of water like a bunch of irresponsible pirates. At one point it felt less like jet skiing and more like bumper cars on the ocean. The laughter, the shouting, the pure reckless joy of the moment it was childish, ridiculous, and absolutely unforgettable. I'm not saying we broke every rule... but I'm also not saying we didn't. Now don't get me wrong be responsible out there. These guys take safety seriously, with briefings, life jackets, and a safety boat nearby while you ride. But I'll say this: from the friendly staff to the convenient location (even our cab driver told us to go there), it turned into one of the most fun memories of the whole trip. Nobody got hurt, nothing got damaged, we didn't get hauled off by the marine police and somehow we rode back to the dock laughing like kids who just got away with something. I usually save my money for boat tours and cruises... but this? Totally worth it. One of the wildest, funniest afternoons I've ever had on the water.

We arrived early due to our flight time and were able to leave our luggage in the lobby while we headed to the beach. By the time we sat, they had our room ready (before 1pm). Each room is designed differently/privately owned. Ours was set up nicely with a great view from the balcony and a coffee pot. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the shower and some of the construction that was going on at the resort, especially for the price we paid even in the off season.
